Hey girlfriends!!! we got back last night at 1:30 in the morning :eek: after leaving at 9 that morning!

It was a fun-filled, too-quick weekend!! the weather was perfect until Monday morning, but that was day after day of sunshine and warmth, really nice!! we met up with old friends and met for the first time, new ones. I wore all my costumes except the Naughty Maid (I got too tired that night for yet another costume change) and unfortuneately got blisters from those sexy boots but it was worth it, LOL.

I didn't drink too much either, just enough, lol

DH got sick (not from drinking, but kinda flu, and a dizziness thing) Sunday night and was still feeling awful on Monday morning, so...imagine this..I wake up on Monday morning to hear him dry-retching and scramble to get him a plastic bag to barf in...then he's too dizzy to move, so I pack and dismantle everything and pack it all in the car myself, this is not even taking the time to pee or comb my hair or brush my teeth, it was 'roll out of the sleeping bag and roll up the sleeping bag" but ya gotta do what you gotta do...I got it done within an hour and said our quick goodbyes, and got on the road.

It just is a long way (over 800 miles) and it just took so long...and then we got a flat tire on the New York Thruway at 10:00 at night, ugh! at least we had plenty of flashlights but we had to unpack the trunk to get to the spare (oh, and we did take the Geo, CChick, and other than the blown tire, it was fine) and one of my bags opened up and my costumes go tumbling to the side of the road...what an adventure..so that delayed us also, but it was good that it woke me up, I was getting groggy. We kept taking turns driving, and got the last leg and I was sooo glad to turn into our driveway. So tired, and this was just from driving a car! But we had been partying for days before and not much sleep. A good time :cool:

CChick, BIG congrats to your son!! wooo hooo!! and how nice that you got that acknowledgement (spelling?) from your boss.

I didn't need to get to work early today, that was a blessing. I got there at noon and was able to leave at 2:30; then came home (I was on the bike, it was a beautiful day and it felt GREAT to be on the bike after 5 days!) and then took the car to a garage to get a new tire; got that done, then food shopped; came home; cut the grass; picked blackberries (they are so good now! I needed to wait a week and stop picking them too early) then vacuumed living room, then got on the computer. I am whooped!

Oh sounds like you did have a blast - that is to bad the DH got sick but at least it was on the day home instead of during the stay there, that would have really ruined the festivities......

Oh no flat tire well it could have been worse but it is a darn thing when you have to unpack everything to get to the spare, but I am sure you saved quite abit on gas taking Geo instead of Van :)

You know that saying you always need a vacation from your vacation, that was nice that you only had to work a few hours instead of a full day.

Well DH's motorcycle now has a new owner and boy was he proud of it before getting it on his trailer. This was the guys first Harley had a VTX prior, he knew exactly what he wanted becuase all he did was start and gave us the check.

Well Wednesday night and I am watching Real World and seeing the beach makes me really want to be in Jamaica already but my real world well not till January :) Cant sleep right now so of course I am online but really need to get to bed, thinking I should take tomorrow off but then again I always think I have way to much work to do and go to work.....

Welcome back Holly! I am glad for the most part you had a good trip. I hope DH is better. I am so glad your car only had a tire problem! And it sounds like you need a vacation from your vacation......

CC- I thought I was the only one with insomnia..... just kidding. I am sleeping much better now.

I found out this AM that I could be going to the WW meetings basically for "free". If I am a WW member then my bootcamp fee is reduced to reflect that. As an added bonus I think DH is going to go with me if I will go on Tuesday nights. He really needs to lose the weight.... not b/c of his looks b/c I think he is hawt the way he is..... (with that "Rock" eyebrow thing), but b/c I want him around for a long time. I have to have him to nag! Anyway.... y'all say a little prayer that he will go with me as he agreed and we can get the rest of this weight off together. Counting points makes me nuts at times, but I am stalled here and I need to get back on track before I got the other way. Even if I do have a few people say I am obsessed about losing the weight..... ya know...... if it takes being obsessed about not wanting to weigh almost 270--- then so be it..... call me NUTS then.

Okay so DH and I came up with a plan..... I think instead of us buying each other gifts... we are going to do a trip every year.... we are planning on VEGAS again this year..... unless someone can give me another suggestion on where to go in early May.......

Hi chicks! Tammy, I think that is a great idea, for TRIPS! instead of gifts. Vegas sounds great, but also I would crave something tropical with beaches and blue water! and best wishes on DH going with you, I also want mine around for a long time (to nag, LOL) and I wish he would take better care of himself.

Hi CChick, I'm glad your DH was able to sell his bike and got a cashiers check. Can't be too careful about that stuff.

I did double duty at work today so I can have tomorrow off, I need to do LAUNDRY big time! and to unpack. And clean up the house. and do a long workout! I did 30 Day Shred once, since we've gotten back.

I have only about 5 more weeks at the summer job that I love!! :( And our Slovakian workers are leaving sooner than we thought. Our office manager told me that, after Sept. 30th, she will be hunting for help, so if I want, I can work all the waitstaff or dishwashing shifts that I want, for more $ . I might take advantage of that...I should just consider that I am cramming as much as the Club as I can before it closes.

Tammy that would be great if your DH joins you and goes to WW. Mine will walk with me and he will eat what I cook for the most part but he likes to go out to eat way to much......Maybe with getting the new bike and all the trips coming up he will maybe want to start staying home to eat more.

Oh geez Holly didn't realize it was already that close to you being done at
your summer job :( At least you are can get some extra hours in before having to be done.

Haven't done much exercising or watching what I eat lately but I will need to get back on track soon- wait I have been saying that for how many months????? I will get my motivation back hopefully sooner than later
Woke up this morning and both my calves hurt when I stand up or walk- I am actually walking like I have a cob up the butt because it hurts so bad:(
I may have to go to DR tomorrow if not better in the morning.

We are thinking if Todd gets his new bike by Friday that we may go to the
MN, WI Flood Run it is about 360 miles away but we figure we can break the bike in. I have been trying to get him to go but he wouldn't but I know he will be anxious to ride his new bike if it gets here so I think I have him talked into going if it gets here- They told us on Friday to allow 7-10 days but they are loading it tomorrow so I don't know why it wouldn't be here by Friday ???? I am hoping :)

Well work week is back tomorrow, not that I don't like my job but dang I just don't feel like working lately at all

Oh ya almost forgot we had our Eagle Riders Poker Run Saturday it turned out great, it was a great day weather wise and it was an open Poker Run but when everyone was registering they were asking us what time we were leaving and we told them 10am so most of them decided to ride with us - it was cool there were 47 bikes that left with us and when we were coming up and down hills looking in the mirror it seemed like the headlights went for miles :) Oh and I won the poker hand Full House Aces over Queens - $250 bucks

I have off today so I was able to devote a full hour to working out, I did the Cathe dvd that is so good, it's cardio and strength. Can't believe I used to do this one like 3 times a week!! It's been months since I've done it, but I'm glad I did today.

well I have a long, long list of 'what I should do' for cleaning in the house, and outdoor clean up. Sometimes when my list is too long I just blow it all off and watch a movie cuddled on the couch with the dog :D

I was not as productive and busy as I should have been :o I vacuumed and picked up for about an hour; I worked out for an hour, sat and surfed the 'net, had lunch, fell asleep in my chair! then read for a while, then did a TON of laundry but haven't put it away yet. And I need to go through bills (our property taxes are due Wednesday so I need to juggle the bills a bit) But I'm sure glad I had off.

DH says thanks for bday wishes :)

Holly your day sounded pretty productive to me, you even got a nap in :)
Our property taxes are not due until Oct 30th- that is goingt to put a damper as well because we leave for Vegas on the 30th and want to be able to take all the extra money we can......

Tonight is our supper ride - we are trying to get as much riding in as possible because it will be time to put them away way to soon :(

My DH bday was on Sunday, that is the reason we waited to start WW until tonight (the good leader is tonight). Say a lil WL prayer that we both stick with it. I have been eating horribly. In fact, I am teetering on not being in ONDERLAND.... I am just hovering over that mark. BUT, I have made a promise to myself that I am going to stay within my points range until Thanksgiving..... with NO days off! I know I can do this. I am not crazy about counting points, but as long as I plan I am okay.

Holly: Wow, I am sorry that your favorite job is ending in 5 weeks. How long have you been doing this seasonal job thing? Are you going back to the winter job you are no so crazy about?

It is supposed to rain ALL WEEK here :mad: So, not much riding for me.

My son got his orders last week. He is going to Kosovo. They are waiting on the commander to sign them, which is the last step. We thought his vision may hang him up, but no such luck..... but it turned out to be luckier than he thought. His unit got wind that they are going to be deployed to Iraq! So, I will take Kosovo any day. What I don't understand is they are telling him it is a "non combat" mission..... so why do they need my son on an air evac helicopter? Things that make you say hmmmmm. All I can do is pray for him. He wants to go and serve...... and this is what he signed up for..... that does not mean I have to like my 19 year old going over there though.

Well, DH may not be going after all. :mad: It is FLOODING here and he may not be able to get off. Deep down..... I think it is a partial excuse..... but I can't prove it. I am not going to nag him..... but I am going to go on my own. I figure we have been married for FOUR months..... I need some ME time! So, if he choses not to go, that will be my Tuesday night TAMMY time.

I am a little :( about it. I thought we were going to do this together.
