Happy Tuesday ladies -

I had a good day at work yesterday, then went to the gym and did 1/2 hour of cardio. I skipped the floor exercise/strength training class because I remembered that the instructor liked to do a lot of leg kicks and hydrants that work the butt and hips - two areas that I can't work too hard for awhile. I'm going to ask my trainer about using hand weights while I do the recumbent stepper for cardio so I can do bicep curls, triceps, chest press, shoulder press, etc., so I can get cardio and weights done in 1/2 hour.

After I got home, ate and showered, I relaxed with DH in front of the TV while icing my hip. I plan to go back to the gym tonight.

Shad - I hope you got a good night's sleep.

Annie - So nice that your neighbor could patch the roof, and at least it's over the garage. I hope your tummy settles down soon.

Happy - I hope you had a great b'day!

Jolly - Did you get your run in? How was your take home final? Don't be too hard on yourself when you can't achieve perfection in terms of food/exercise, especially with the stress of finals, etc.

Ceejay - I hope you're doing okay.

Mel - Is your eye feeling any better?

Well, time to get to work.

Love and hugs,

Hi ladies,

Sorry but I've had little time to do more than zip in and take a quick peek. Haven't even caught up on posts.

I took a few days off so I could spend some quality time with Mom - we have all had a great time. I had a very nice birthday, thanks for all the good wishes.

I've got to focus on some neighborhood homeowners association business and am back to work today so I will still be away for a few more days.

Just wanted a quick to all of you and that I am thinking of you!

Happy Belated Birthday Happy! I hope you had a wonderful day.

Michellez - it's been busy. Last friday night went to the casino after one of my work meetings. I won playing blackjack. I was so excited about that.

Annie - Yes, for me it's definitely worth being a homeowner. Yes, there is maintenance, but for me it outweights not having a renter upstairs who makes to much noise, or if the landlord takes pets. Being single, I try my best to maintain the house. I try not to let any repairs go, otherwise they get worse.

Congrats, Patty, on your winnings! YGG! I agree...being a homeowner is much better than renting.

Patty...I totally agree with you. It is some days I get tired of handling EVERYTHING, and wish someone would take care of me/things for me. Just every once in a while, not often, I do like my independence.

I READ ALL THE POSTS AND AM GLAD THAT YOU ARE ALL DOING WELL BUT WON'T MAKE COMMENTS TODAY EXCEPT TO SAY I WOULD LOVE TO LIVE IN A PRIVATE HOUSE AND NOT HAVE "TENANTS" AND WOULD ALSO LOVE AT THE SAME TIME TO HAVE A PERSONAL MANAGER TO DO THE "CRAP" WORK AND I WOULD STILL BE INDEPENDANT!!
I WAS OUTSIDE BEST PART OF THE DAY AND SOME OFFICE WORK AND I EVEN DID THE FOOD SHOPPING. BEEN A BUSY DAY. MY EYE HAS ANOTHER CYST AND I CALLED THE DR. THEY SUGGESTED I STAY ON ZYRTEC FOR 30 DAYS AND SEE IF IT CHANGES ANYTHING. SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER BOTTLE THIS MORNING. NOT CHEAP! ALSO THEY CANNOT DO THE CATARACTS UNLESS EVERYTHING CLEARS UP IN BOTH EYES AND OF COURSE THE CATARACTYS ARE RIPENED..... BY THEN THE FLU SHOULD BE ALL AROUND US AND THEY SAID TO AVOID MAKING ANY DR APPTS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE HOSP IS SO OVERCROWDED AND WITH MY CONDITION, I SHOULD BE AWAY FROM CROWDS. MY SIGHT IS BAD NORMALLY SO SHE SAID THAT IS WHY EVERYHING IS SO EXAGGERATED NOW...IN THE MEANTIME I LIVE IN A FUZZY WORLD!!
OTHER THAN THIS.,....EVERYTHING IS "A" OK WITH ME! JEN WON'T BE HERE AFTER TONITE FOR AWHILE SO IF I SHOULD DISAPPEAR YOU WILL KNOW IT'S THE CYST.
HAVE A GREAT NIGHT!

Hey Ms Mel living in a fuzzy wuzzy world. I'm tall and slim and beautiful and I only weigh 54 kgs and oh yes.... I am just a youngster!!!!

Today is going to be like yesterday again, but I thought I would come in here and moan and ***** rather than take a plane west and go kill someone. Yep, that's right, kill someone. I'm running out of patience with a dingbat from Emu Downs who doesn't know her a*se from her elbow. God grant me patience - RIGHT BL**DY NOW -

And having said that, the boss is back and looking for someone to drop some more work on. I better go hide out in the ladies.

Back later tonight maybe!

Shad and MEL....many hugs coming your way........holy cow. I have been fighting with the color printer. I need 15 copies of my presentation for the meeting this afternoon. First the color printer printed the copies to find out it was almost out of black toner, replaced black toner, then paper jam, then calibrating, ok so it is printing. Go back to office, return to printer, print job stopped out of yellow toner, replace yellow toner. Finally it finished printing my copies. What should of been a 10 minute job, took about an hour. Needless to say my morning has flown by. One of the nice visiting directors brought me a carmel mochicato from Starbucks that made my morning all ok. Color copier or not. All is good now, wish me luck with my presentation this afternoon.

Gray rainy day today, doesn't really matter, I am inside working. It can rain Monday thru Fridays, but Saturday and Sunday just kill me if it is yucky outside. Going to Curves tonight then to tan. Didn't make it to Curves last night, no reason, just wasn't in the mood, besides my body was still recovering from last weekend's yard work out.

Going to Wallyworld (Walmart) at lunch to pick up a few needed items. I am out of Vitiman C and E as of this morning. THey are not a must take because of bariatric surgery, but like to to take.

Finish later

Sorry had to jump off without goodbyes earlier. My ride to Wallyworld was wanting to go right then. Presentation went well. I can do them if I can sit down and do them. It's the standing in front of the crowd that gets me shakey.

This has been one busy day. Shuuuweeee. and it is almost over, yeah! Ended up getting a veggie sub from subway on the way back from Wallyworld. Yum, I love them.

Ok, hello to everyone, hope your day was grand!!

Love and hugs

A quick check in for me today. I went to the gym last night and did 45 minutes of cardio on the recumbent stepper and also some upper body work. I was a little sore afterward so I iced my hip/back for 20 minutes while watching the baseball game on TV.

Today, I was still kind of sore and thankful that I had PT, which went really well. In fact, I just got back from PT a little while ago. I guess I won't be going to the gym tomorrow night like I had planned. My PT told me to take a week off of exercising...so that means just VERY gentle stretching ONLY. She said I need to give my sacroilliac joint, my back, my quads, hamstrings, glutes and hip bursitis a chance to calm down. I protested a lot, but she insisted. Dang! No endorphins for a week. And I'll have to count the minutes I spend stretching to get me up to the 90 minute mark for this week (I'm currently at about 75 minutes for the week).

My PT said I can go back to the gym after a week off to do very light cardio on the stationary bike, but no more than 20 minutes 3x/week until I get better. So I guess I'll have to include my stretching as part of my 90 minutes per week of exercise until my PT says I can work out more.

The PT did ultrasound on my hip, which seems to have helped a little. And she said I could use ice at home after stretching

Despite feeling a little bit frustrated right now, overall, I'm feeling very positive that there's a plan of action and I should get better soon.

Shad - I hope your tomorrow is better than today.

Annie - Sorry about your printer woes, but I'm glad your presentation went well!

Mel - Good luck with your meeting with the big boss. I hope it goes well. Good for you for standing up for what you need to take care of you.

Love and big hugs to all!

See Michelle.....all of us telling you to take it easier than norm for a while wasn't to far off the spot. Stretching is very good for you, sometimes better than actually working hard at exercising. You will be glad you followed doc's orders in the end...no pun intended.

Annie The think the pun should have been intended. Gave me a laugh for the morning anyway.

With Mel and Happy away from the site for various reasons, we are a shrinking bunch. I guess Jolly is also shaking and quaking with tests, exams and house buying as well. For those in peril with the above things, I wish them peace, renewal and happiness. For Happy, I hope the working hours go quick and the leisure hours drag so that you can spend longer with the Mother. Bless her and give her a hug from me.

Michelle - I'm wondering if a form of stretching type yoga might be for you. It exercises a lot of muscles but is gentle and measured. You only push as far as you can and I know I gained a lot out of the Body Balance classes I used to go to. Flexibility was great back then. I don't have that now. I really need to get to a good gym with classes to push me back into exercise.

Annie - good luck with the presentation. I just love it when the slide show or the copied presentation goes along and right in the very middle there is a spelling mistake! or a grammatical boomer. Unfortunately we get a lot of them these days since the powers that be seem to think that the best and cheapest way to get things done is by the Indians. Equally unfortunately, then it's up to people like me to come along and fix up the mess. By that time, people hate the system, can't understand anything and mess up the job - ie the stocktake I am trying to sort right now. And I get abused for liking the system and showing them that it can work. My shoulders are broad, I can take it.

Mel - Did you go pressing all the doorbells to see which one didn't work? Did that get the hopes up of a 100 OAP that they might have a VISITOR????

Right - I'm off to finish this stocktake. I have the spreadsheet from **** and I am about to distribute it to the dingbat and tell her what I want done. See you

Morning Chickies......

Shad...the presentation did go very well, no misspellings or grammatical errors. Of course, I proofed it about 10 times. Even then I usually miss something, but not this time. Can you trust a dingbat to do what you need done?

The president, two directors and a manager showed up just as I did this morning at 7:15 am. I don't like that, as usually I am the only one here till about 7:45 and can get 1/2 hour's worth of work done which takes about 2 hours when others are here popping their head into my office. I am fine, thank you, yes, I enjoyed my evening, now get the H*LL out of here. lol

Went to Curves last night. It was my one month anniversary, can you believe I have been going for a month already? Anyway, got weighed and measured. Lost .5 lbs, which I am not working at losing lbs, however also lost a total of 8.5 inches off various parts of the body. I hope that means I am toning a little.

Well best be getting back at it since everyone is here this morning.

Wash your hands, cough in your sleeve, stay home if you are sick....no pig pen flu here!

Hello to all

Much Love and Many Hugs,
