Hi Ladies,

I'm doing well this week with food and workouts. Feeling good about myself. I must remember this even when the scales don't give me the numbers I like. I am hoping for a good loss tomorrow but who knows what they will say!

I am trying a new class tonight: Belly dancing. I'm not sure what I'm going to think about it. I'm going in with a open mind. I have Zumba today at lunch then the belly dancing class tonight and then Yoga. I won't get home until 8:30 p.m.!

Ward: Good job for avoiding the cake. My nieces pre-school graduation was last night too and they had cookies afterwards...I did not have one! I was thinking of all of you here and it made it easier to skip them.

Mindy: Aren't the scales just crazy! I bet your arms are looking amazing in those tank tops! Keep it up.

Kelly: How are you doing with being on plan this week?

Ok..I must get to work. See you all tomorrow.

Ward- how cute!!! We used to do a kindergarten "graduation" at our school, but not any more. Kind of sad.

Susie- How you had fun at the belly dancing class. Sounds like fun. good job on avoiding the cookies.

Kelly and I did some HIIT tonight. That was different. It was kind of fun to see how hard we could push ourselves and just how fast we could run. I am taking tomorrow off.... mental health day. On Friday Kelly and I will do a 5k.
My scale was down to 189.2 today....again. Can I see a lower number now please???

I LOVED belly dancing. It's not so much of a workout now..learning the funmentals but we did do a little bit of dancing at the end. It's going to be a good thing to round out my workouts.

Those dang scales better be down tonight!

Mindy & Kelly: Look at the two of you...a 5K! I'm so proud to know you gals!

Ward: What sort of workouts did you do today? How's the food looking?

Ok..got to run..busy, busy at work.

See you tomorrow.

So, although I am maintaining, I can tell the difference since Mindy and I haven't been doing DVD's. I feel like I have the biggest, most noticeable fat roll... which was going away before. After this 5K I am going to have to get back on the DVD's. I felt so much more toned than when we're just doing the running stuff. Tomorrow, Mindy and I have planned a "mock" 5K. We are going to see how fast we can do it. Mindy--make sure you have your pedometer tomorrow! I am on plan with my eating today, finally. I told my husband he couldn't leave my side tonight, that way I wouldn't find my way into the pantry.

Mindy--Congrats on the new purchases. I liked the HIIT stuff we did the other day. It really made the time go fast! I like it a lot better than jogging for distance!

Susie--Belly dancing! You go girl! I am a sucky dancer, so good for you for having the coordination to make it through the class!

Ward--Hope everything is going well. Your son's picture is so cute! He looks very grown up!

Have a great night girls!

Kelly- How funny. you and I are so different when it comes to working out and losing weight. I didn't think the HIIT did squat and I feel like i get a much better workout running for distance. "I" am feeling great with the running, but of course I have thrown in some DVD work on the weekends also. We just have to do a bit of everything and keep it mixed up.

Susie- I know tonight is weigh-in. Good luck. Glad to hear how much fun you are having in your dance classes.

Ward- I'm sure you're cranking it at the gym. hope to hear from you soon.

I went shopping for capris today. I got 4 pair, jean, khaki?, black and a white pair. OMG!! And here's the "real" kicker. the whit ones are a size 12. that's unbeleivable. 189 today, looking for that elusive 188.

YES! The scales went downlast night! 3.75 lbs. This is the lowesr weight I ave been at for 3 years! I so want to loose 3 for next Thursday---so I can hit my 15 lb mark! I CAN & WILL do it!

Kelly: I don't know that I'm very coordinated. I was on dance team and cheer team in HS, but Zumba and Belly Dancing are very different than the dance stuff I did then. But it's all so much fun! I can't wait to hear how the mock 5k run goes! Just look at you!

Mindy: Size 12 pants? That's my goal!!! I think all the exercise helps us to fit in smaller clothes. I have a friend who weighs what you weigh but she wears a 16 so the exercise does make a difference.

Ward: We miss you!!

I'll be around this weekend so I hope you will be joining me on the boards this weekend too!

So how did the 5k go? I am sure you guys rocked it.

size 12, Mindy? Awesome!

Susie, congratulations on the big loss! Keep up the good work!

I am on day 6 on plan, after a long break. Exercise is good - I am going to try to keep to as close to two hours a day as possible during the summer. The gym childcare has a two hour limit, so I'll have to cut back a little. I am snacking on cherries right now - they were kind of expensive, but they are so good.

See you tomorrow.

Susie- I am so happy for you. you are doing great. That is a big loss. All that work is paying off. Keep it up and you should see another loss next week.

Ward- Summer always seems harder for some reason. For some it is kids at home, for me it is lots of down time. Not getting up and going to work everyday messes things up. Kelly and I have toyed with the idea of joining a gym for the summer. that way she would have daycare and we would have no exuse not to get together and workout.

We did not get our 5k done today. We blabbed too long and she ran out of time. Kelly did the first mile with me. I went on and ran 1 more, for 2 total. My scale showed 188.6 today. There is a numbe I have not seen yet.

Once again my body is doing something weird. Just when i think I have it figured out.....BAM! I did not lose big after TOM, I have just inched down a little . But, there has also been no mid-cycle gain either. Go figure. i just hope I can inch down a little more.

The weekend is going to be so nice here in Ohio--it feels like summer and that just wants me to work all that much harder and eat healthy and well..I want to feel good and look good and enjoy every day of the summer!

I'm about to get busy on cleaning the house...it's in pretty good shape so it won't take me to long today. My DH and I are going to see The Terminator movie this afternoon and then meeting my boss and his wife for dinner.

We have a cookout planned for tomorrow and I need to go put flowers on my daddy's grave and my grandmothers and aunt, also my mother-in-laws.

After out cookout tomorrow I'm going to see if I can't get people to go on a walk with me to walk that food off. I'm going with or without them!

Mindy and Kelly: So what if you didn't finish the 5K. you did something and that counts! keep practicing. I think the idea of joining a gym for the summer would be a great investment in yourselfs!

Ward: You are worth whatever those cherries cost..so enjoy them! One time at my TOPS meeting someone gave a program on fruits and they were talking about how we think that paying $1.99 for a cantaloupe seems a bit expensive but we don't think anything of paying $1.99 for a dozen glazed doughnuts! I thought how true and decided right there and then I would never feel that way about paying for something that I could enjoy and it would be good for me.

Ok..got to get busy. I'll see you all tomorrow. Stay stong, control is our goal...we are doing this!

Okay, so i don't understand how this happens. After seeing such a nice low number yesterday, how do I go up 2 pounds in a day??? I don't get it. I did 2 miles, at about 1400 calories. WTH???

Today I have been outside a good deal of the day. Working on putting in flowers around 2 trees. That turned out to be a much bigger project. The circles needed to be bigger, I had to take out mulch, put in compost, then plants, then re-mulch. You get the picture.

Susie- Sounds like a nice relaxing day planned. Have fun.

Hey, what's everybody doing?? I have been outside in the yard most of the last 2 days. I am starting to make a little progress. just went for a 3.5 mile walk/run. My daughter rode her bike and went with me. When we were almost home she fell. YIKES!! She messed up her face and wrist. I teased her that she will never go with me again.

The mosquitos were terrible. One bit my tongue and then I swallowed one. YUCK!!! I was 190 today. Not 188, i liked that much better. You know how this crazy body is though.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hi--I finally made it here. I'm tired from out cookout but it was fun. I ate very sensibly and I'm happy with that. I even took a 2 mile walk. Two other people went with me.

I'm going to sleep in a little tomorow. I need to get out and wash my vinyl porch railing down tomrrow. Other than that I think I'll relax.

Mindy: I hope your daughter is ok. That's scary to have a wreck on a bike.
I had to laugh at the mosiquto that you swallowed. It really is yucky! But maybe the extra protein will help you with your weight loss? LOL!

Kelly and Ward; I hope you are having a good, on plan weekend.

I'll see you all tomorrow.

Hi. I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. I really enjoyed having the extra day off work. I think I'm jealous of the 3 of you because you will have the summer off!

I did good with my food today and my workout consited of cleaning gutters with my DH and then wiping down the vinyl railing on my porch and my window casings and ledges. We worked for 3 hours straight. I can feel it in my arms and legs. I guess from going up and down the ladder and also pulling the hose around.

I'm about to settle in and watch the Batchlorette so I'll see you all tomorrow.

Susie- Man I completely forgot to watch that last night. I was busy grading papers and then I worked out and that what that. Sorry you don't get the summer off. By the end, I am usually bored and ready to go back. Good deal.

Kelly- Our workout schedule is just getting thrown off more and more. Hope you get some workouts done at home.

I just keep hovering around 190. No particular reason for it, it's just the way it is. I'll just keep working out and eating right. When I drop weight, I drop it.

Blech. This sucks. I am way off my rocker. I think even further than when I first began trying to lose weight. I know I am stress eating, I know I need to stop, I know I shouldn't be eating when I am searching the pantry and the fridge, but I just can't stop. I am falling into the vicious, "I'll get back on track tomorrow" excuse, and tomorrow is never coming. This has got to be what addicts feel like.

Mindy--I can't wait to work out tomorrow. I need that routine.

Susie--Having the summer off is nice, but it is very hard to stay on routine. When I am at work, I am too busy to eat whenever I want. At home, the food is calling my name. I don't know what is worse, being home or being at work.

Ward--Hope all is well.
