Hi all, and welcome home Monte!

Again, I relize this is exactly where I should be, Reluctant Exerciser's Group! That's what I am! I seem to getting real board with the steppin, and DH is right on the verge of saying "yes" to the treadmill. I bet the sale ended already!

I finally slipped off my plateau, weighing 219 now, woooooo hoooooo!

Hope everyone else is doing good!

TappingPeony 08-04-2008 11:17 PM

Hope everyone is well this evening:hug: Getting nowhere fast today.

H&H, you are amazing. I'm proud of you:cp: I think I am still being reluctant because I don't want to get bored, or fail. Hope I can find enough things to rotate around that I like to keep my exercising going.

Talk to you all tomorrow. Kathy:chockiss:

H & H - Congrats on breaking that plateau!!

H&H--Congrats on breaking through that plateau.

TappingPeony--Variety is key or just finding something you really, really like. I get bored too but I go in spurts. I'm really into the treadmill now because I'm doing a 10K in October.

MonteCristo 08-05-2008 02:32 PM

Shay - Thanks for the link. I'm a mess with computers or I would have posted one.

Primm 08-05-2008 10:56 PM

Thanks for the link! I've been lurking on the TBL chat threads, waiting for the chance to jump in on a new one. This will be great!

Just finishing my water now, and I'm off for my C25K Week1Day3 run. Almost a whole week of continuous, regular exercise. That's a record for me! But I'm starting to reap the benefits already. I slept better last night than I have in a very long time.

HoneyMustard 08-05-2008 11:18 PM

I confess!

I have not done any exercising since Friday. Oh sure, I clipped back my lavender, planted a geranium cutting, dusted the downstairs, vaccumed, tidyed up for company, and probably stuff I can't remember! That should make up for it right? At least I didn't just sit around and do nothing!

You all seem to be not-so reluctant exercisers, how did you do it? I still struggle!

I am sorry to say that I wont be accepting any challanges this time around. Perhaps my attitude will change by the next sign-ups. Good luck to everyone!

miriam101 08-06-2008 04:30 PM

1 hour 20 min brisk walk

yea!!!!

TappingPeony 08-06-2008 06:36 PM

Hey, everyone. Yesterday was rather hectic, and I laughed at myself when someone wanted me to do something, and I told them "making no commitments today in case we have more school supplies to get". Wasn't someone just handing out pirate hats for recommitting:D Don't want to lose my new pirate hat already. Did have to do some running around but not too much. A few more things today to get later.

Well, your birthday is a good day to commit to start taking those exercise baby steps. It's a noisy older treadmill, but ours works really well. So, Zune in my ears, I did 0.78mi/20min on the treadmill. Glad you people with IPods reminded me. Really, blasting the TV, you can't hear it over the treadmill. I'm not anywhere near watching a movie on the Zune just yet, but now I know that that will work as well as the music. Time to load more music! I wonder if my Sony Reader will be easier to use than a regular book, since it is flat. So, :cp:, today I did it!

:hb:to me Talk to you later:chockiss:Kathy

Hi everyone~It has been a hard day to get through. I have been very depressed. I cried some, but I think that has passed for now. I did 1 hour of stepping, my weight training, and 50 upper ab crunches and 50 oblique crunches. I feel better for having done my exercises at least I accomplished something positive today. Catch ya all later Pat

MonteCristo 08-07-2008 12:10 PM

I need a hug!! :stress: :tantrum: :bomb: SOMEBODY STOLE MY IPOD!!!!!!! Right out of my car. We live in a little subdivision well outside of town, so it had to be some rotten people from our own neighborhood. It was in my car at 10:30 p.m., and gone when I left for work at 6:00 a.m. And it's not like you could even see the iPod from outside. It was laying on the floor in the back, so they were obviously just messing around inside my car. I'm absolutely furious!!! Not to mention the fact that this particular iPod is very expensive, but how am I suppose to exercise without it!!! Why do people have to be so HORRIBLE!

HoneyMustard 08-07-2008 02:56 PM

:woohoo: HE SAID YES!!!!:woohoo:

:woohoo: MY NEW NORDICTRACK TREADMILL!!!:woohoo:
