A slight set back yesterday, but I did manage 25 mins @ 14 mph & passed the 6.5 mile mark !!!
WOOOOOO HOOOOO !!! Today's goal .... back to beating the 30 mins & maybe even a tetch farther. Everyone is doing GREAT !!! KEEP IT UP, WE CAN DO THIS !!!! |
Hi All~I got all my exercises in last night watching my baseball game. Weight training, abs, stepping, and wall push ups. I watched the 10 minute ab work out. I think I can do it. I also think I will have sore abs tomorrow. Tomorrow is my rest day from weight training. I would have one recovery day. I think I will go for it. I have been working my abs, this dvd does not do crunches and uses a resistance band. variety is the spice of life!! Catch ya all later. Pat

Everyone is doing fantastic!
Welcome nocellulite! Okay so I exercised twice this week on the treadmill. The ipod is really helping. I've downloaded some podcasts on there too. I will do my 3FC 5K on the treadmill tomorrow. I plan to wog (walk/jog) it. |
I was going to have a sleep in today (first day off in a couple of weeks). But my car decided to lose it's entire sump full of oil on the driveway (I still haven't looked to see why - too scared of what I might find!) so I had to drive hubby to work as I have a bunch of grocery shopping etc. to do.
So since I'm up and about already, I might as well go for a run! |
I procrastonated all day today! I finally did my hour steppin cause I knew I could take the whole weekend off! So glad I got it over with!
Talk to you all soon! |
Ah, ladies, I think I have found the place I have been looking for. Can I jump in here, too?:^: I was reading this bunch of posts this evening, once the little one went to sleep. I believe this is a good group to work with. Maybe I can decrease my resistance to exercise. I believe "babysteps" was mentioned a few times. Really small baby steps is my starting place. Getting a plan would be a good place to start. You are all such great motivators: sounds like what I need.

Welcome Primm and TappingPeony!
TappingPeony--Permission not needed. All are welcome! For some reason I felt the need to stay up til 4am. I am feeling it. Hopefully by mid day I will feel up to getting on my treadmill. |
Good Morning Ladies!
It wasn't pretty, but I got to do something this morning I haven't been able to do in 7 years--I went ice skating with my daughter, who has never skated in her life. We were at a party. We have a synthetic ice skating rink in town, that you skate on with hockey skates. It is only cold underneath, and above it is just air-conditioned, no wet bottom when you fall. Skating in your shorts in the middle of the summer, what a hoot! I don't know who was more excited! But 20 minutes of that was plenty and enough to work up a sweat. Tap dancing and my stick shift vehicle have done more for my leg than I ever got out of physical therapy all those years ago. Hope you get to sleep well tonight, Shay. Have a great day all. Hi Everyone~I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I have been on an emotional roller coaster. Tomorrow would have been our 36th anniv. It will be the first one divorced. He will leave on vacation tomorrow. I am babysitting my dog, my beautiful black lab. He is my baby, my soul mate.
I found 2 boxes of vhs tapes and dvds that my ex left off here. What a treasure trove!! I had a blast going through them. I found my complete set of Cory Everson weight training tapes. One cardio tape of hers that I dearly love!! I found several ab workout tapes.:dance: I found a Denise Austin Pilates tape. I will do that one tomorrow. YEAH!!:cp: I did weight training shoulders triceps chest + 90 wall push ups + ab workout + 1 hour of stepping. I added an inch of height to my step. I could really feel the difference. Catch ya all later. Pat |
Hey Pat - hope your roller coaster has ended on a good note...
I went for a brisk 45 walk last night, up and down the hills... I saw myself in the buff in a full length mirror yesterday, and yes - i can finally see a little body definition by my midriff - I'm beginning to look a little less like a beach ball, lolol TP - oooh - ice skating! I LOVE ice skating and roller skating - haven't gone for YEARS! Shay - how you doing? How's everything going? Has Monte come back from the reunion yet? |
Pat--Isn't great when you get new treasures like that??!
Miriam--Doing pretty good here. I dragged my behind onto the treadmill about 9pm last night. I will say again I love, love, and love my ipod. I know the five best purchases I've ever made in terms of weight loss have been my heart rate monitor, treadmill (love/hate relationship),taebo vhs/dvds, running shoes, and my ipod! |
Shay - I believe it1 If it wasn;t for the ipod - I'd do nothing!! Go, girl, go

Everyone doing well this evening?
DH decided that today was "clean the garage day". So I got plenty of exercise lifting and hauling and sorting, oh my. I was just glad I wasn't sore from the skating yesterday, mostly because we wouldn't have gotten half of what we wanted to get done in the garage. I think I have the schedule of weekly events straight now, so I can concentrate on picking things for exercise that will fit in there. I think I got lost and frustrated with it trying to make it all work on the fly. I didn't think it would need so much scheduling. Proved me wrong! Baby steps and scheduling it in are my goal for the week. Everyone have a great Monday! Kathy:chockiss: |
Hi Everyone~I made it through yesterday with out much damage to my eating plan and exercise plan. It was a tough day. Today is wi day. The scale was good to me. Catch ya all later. Pat

Hello Ladies!! I'm back! I'm totally swamped at work right now, so I don't have much time to chat. All in all the reunion went well, but I am now sure that I'm anti social. There were just way too many people, and it was definitely stressing me out! Plus, NOTHING was on time. Every single activity was at least 30 mins late. My type A personality was just NOT dealing well with that!! I did meet a bunch of really nice people, and I'm sure that all 280 people were awesome, I just got a little overwhelmed. But I had fun, especially since Angie (my sister) and I brought along another old friend who I hadn't seen in ages, and we had a great time catching up. We walked the trails around the camp quite a bit, so I ended up getting about an hour or so of walking in each day. All in all it was fun, but I'm SO glad to be home, even if work is going to be horrible hectic for the next few days.
I'll try to catch up with the thread later!! |
