Day 8 & 9 - 5 servings fruits/vegies per day - good - 2 pauses left
Day 9 & 10 - 64 oz water per day - level 3 - good
Day 9 & 10 - log all calories - level 1 - good
Yep, still here, just been really busy. I actually gave my notice at work yesterday. I left it open ended though. I told my boss to look for someone else and not to worry if she finds someone quickly or if it takes 2 or 3 weeks. The one thing that I'm really looking forward to is not having to get up at 2:30 every morning! I can actually go back to a normal schedule.
Sumi - Wow, remodeling! Been there myself and it's so hard to live with the craziness! I feel for you.
Sushi - Hope the weather gets better for you! I'm not sure where you are, but I've been hearing on the news how bad some of those storms have been the last couple of days. Stay safe!
Apple - Good luck with your new challenges! You're doing great with the other challenges you've been doing. Wait till that bloating is gone and go out and buy those shorts! I'm jealous that you have shorts weather there!
Red - You're cruising right along with your challenges! Believe me, I know how hard it can be when you're stressed, but you're doing great!
Yes, starting a business is very stressful, but it is exciting too. I told my husband that I would concentrate on the business 100% for now, but if things don't work out, I'll just have to go back to work full time. Luckily I still have my degree to fall back on, I just have been out of the field for a few years now and will have to play catch-up if I go back! (computer stuff changes fast!)
bells! Glad to have you here.
Ashley - Staying away from a favorite sugary snack can be so hard! Just make sure you don't keep any in the house so you won't be tempted.
The business we're starting is a hauling business. We have so much construction around here right now that it's crazy. A friend of my husbands bought a dump truck for almost 200,000 and has almost paid it off in only 1 1/2 years along with almost paying off his house. I'm not expecting anything quite so grand myself, I'm just hoping we'll do reasonably well. I'm not much of a risk taker, so this is really hard for me!
Jolly - Good going with your challenges and getting that exercise in even when it's hard to fit in! You've been doing really good.

I went to dinner and a concert with a friend last night and had a great time. Unfortunately, I tipped over the calorie threshold and also didn’t eat my vege’s or log the food. But I had a great time, so it was worth it. Now back to reality today. One day off certainly doesn’t impact the overall program. Not getting back to reality does!
DJ – getting up at 2:30 every morning?? I can see how you’d look forward to that. A hauling business should certainly keep you busy. It’s very exciting to be looking forward to a new venture, especially one that you control. You’ll do great.
Bells – welcome to the 21 day challenge. You’re off to a good start. You’ll find great support and encouragement here.
Sumi – remodeling is tough. All that junk everywhere and grit in everything. Glad to hear it is starting to warm up there. We had a “cold spell” over the last two days – it only got up to 67 yesterday!
Sushi – has the desire for chxxte lessened as you’re getting close to the end of your challenge? Sorry to hear the weather is so bad there also. Sounds like you should get the award for perseverance for your commute yesterday.
Apple – congratulations!!! Finishing your challenges is outstanding – especially with no pauses taken. I’ve not had that much discipline yet, although I keep trying.
Jolly – Glad to hear you’ve been with us, even if your posts go into la-la-land. I’ll have to look at the magazine – nice to see 3FC get some publicity. The support found here is incredible.
Red – you’re really working hard with all your challenges even with the stress in your life. Think how stressful it would be if you weren’t keeping such great control over these aspects of your life. You’re doing an incredible job keeping the reins taut.
Have a great weekend. Hope those of you who've been having bad weather see a little sunshine!

Remodeling is driving me crazy because everything else hinges on another thing happening. Like my dining room needs to be tiles to get my dining table out of the kitchen so that I can build the island. And the living room cant get flooring untill all the kitchen boxes are out of there. Really we are very close, if only I could get a week straight with my hubby. Once he finishes helping a friend with his new house they promise to come work on ours as long as I cook them some good home cooked meals.
Have you guys heard about the huge winter storm which ravaged Soutern Ontario on Thursday? :P That's why I had to wait so long for my bus.
Yesterday it was warmish, and all the snow started melting. However, the melt water had nowhere to go because the drains were blocked by piles of snow which had not yet melted.
My 2 minute walk to the bus turned into a waddle through ankle-deep water channels. It also took twice as long, and I missed the bus, thus having to do more waddling to reach the stop for the other bus line.
Today it wasn't warm enough, and all that water froze. In most spots, it's black ice. Needless to say that I missed the bus again this morning... The past couple of weeks had been sort of dry, so I got unused to such conditions. I guess I'll have to start leaving earlier again. :P
Completing
Day 20 on no chxxxte
Day 16 on no coffee
Day 1 on no escalators/elevators
Wow, I didn't realize I'm almost done with the chocolate challenge! Yes, I didn't realize it despite posting updates every other day or so... Haven't craved the stuff since the first week or so - it's always this way. I will most likely continue, but I might spice it up a bit. For me, if I go without the stuff for a little bit, I don't miss it at all and actually feel as if I could never eat the stuff again. So 'controlled eating' might be a better challenge for me.
Took a pause on no coffee today. I've been thinking about Red's 'all or nothing' comment and realized that that's what I'm engaging in right now. Let's face it - some days I do need a coffee! I feel that recently I've been sacrificing efficiency (especially when doing course work) for the principle of not having coffee. I do not need to do this, and it's actually not beneficial for me. Better to have a coffee and have a few productive hours doing my readings, rather than spend most of that time trying to keep awake.
Besides, I have more than accomplished my initial goal, which was to go without coffee for a week. I do not have a problemw with drinking coffee itself. I had a problem with drinking it every day just because, of that being part of my routine whether I needed a coffee or not. I've switched back to drinking lots and lots of milk, which is way better for me.
So today I headed to the coffee shop when my study session started changing into a snooze. Nice treat it was.
And I started a new challenge today, I'm going to stay away from escalators and elevators and such as much as possible. I will have to make some exception, the main campus library being the major one. I will need to pay frequent visits there in the next few weeks, and you can only get there on the elevator. Don't ask me whose idea that was...

Sushi - taking the stairs is a great challenge. I work in a two-story building and cannot get over how many people will take the elevator up to the second floor.
Sumi - trading a few home-cooked meals for some construction help sounds like a great trade!
Hey all. Going to count this as my Saturday post - I was working this evening, then caught a late movie. So, sorry so late.
I took a pause day Friday for working out and posting, but was back on track today. So that leaves me at day 11 for daily exercise and daily posting with one pause left, and day 4 for no unauthorized sweets, with 3 pauses left.
Sorry so short, but off to bed. I am just glad I remembered to post.
Here's where I stand. Had to start the alcohol over and the journaling. Actually, the journaling still had pauses but I wanted to have a clean slate. Notice...NO pauses allowed on that. I'm changing the no alcohol to no beer and only allowing ONE pause.

I had to take my day off of P90 yesterday but they allow that in the program so I am still counting it as a day as long as I do it today! Hubby came home early with movies UGH. Other than that everything is normal. I am determined that once it warms up I am going to clean every square inch of my house.
Hello all. Today has been a good day so far. I got the dogs to the park for a much needed run. I got my butt out to the barn to spend some quality time with my horse, I made it to the gym, and now I am off to spend some time with my sisters. It's a good day.
Not sure how late I will be getting back tonight, so just wanted to post now. Daily posting and daily exercise, day 12, 1 pause left for each. Pause day for no unauthorized sweets, so still day 4 with 2 pauses left.
Day 10 & 11 - 5 servings fruits/vegies per day - good - 2 pauses left
Day 11 & 12 - 64 oz water per day - level 3 - good
Day 11 - log all calories - level 1 - good
Day 12 - log all calories - level 1 - pause - no pauses left
Ok, didn't log my calories yesterday and wasn't going to do it today either! Isn't that terrible? Then I felt guilty and decided that it wasn't too late today to catch them up. If I didn't I'd be done with that challenge.

I am counting yesterday as doing my chores since I cleaned the bathroom, kitchen and picked up the office. On my chore calendar I actually have sundays off but that can be changed LOL So Yeah Me for getting off my arse and cleaning LOL Starting week two of power 90, still not losing weight. I am adding on a new challenge. I will only weigh once a week. I think that will help me since my weight hasnt changed in 3 weeks on 1200-1400 calories a day. We will see how it goes LOL I already weighed today! --Sumi
