Hey all. Sorry my one day pause in between challenges turned into a 10 day pause. I am here though.

Good news - I reconnected with an old friend I had misplaced along the way. We had a falling out years ago, and I guess the time was just right for me to call her. It feels right and good.

I am going to start 4 new challenges on Sunday (I have a buy stuff party tomorrow, so I will be eating some food porn)

1) Post daily - I know I do better when I get hear daily to check in.
2) Daily exercise with some sort of weights/core/stretching. I did an orientation session to the gym weights yesterday, so have no excuse not to.
3) No unauthorized sweets.
4) Breakfast foods for breakfast. I have been starting the day out with bad choices lately.

All will be level 3's. Again, start date of 3/25/07.

On another good note, I splurged on some swim gear. I will be jogging on M-W-F, doing ellipitical plus weights on T-Th-Sa, and am going to go to the local hotel to swim laps on Sundays.

everyone, take it easy, hope all is going well, and will post again tomorrow

What a great thread!! I always think up so many goals. I'm going to make up a reasonable list and come back to post, probably Monday.

Hey all. I decided I don't want to wait another day to get back in the game . . . or challenge as it were. I also want to successfully complete my food challenges. So, I am changing goals as follows:

1) Daily posting.
2) Daily exercise with some form of weights/core/stretching.
3) 2 servings each of fruits and vegetables per day.
4) Breakfast foods for breakfast.

All are level 3's, and all begin TODAY.

Here's to a wonderful day all.

P.S. Carol, to change your weight tracker, go to "User Control Panel" then click on "edit signature." You will see something that looks like [url . . . You need to look through there for your current weight number, change it, then click on "save changes." Hope that helps.

Calories - zig-zag, average 1700 calories, day 4
Vege/fruit - at least 5 servings per day, day 4
Food log every day, day 4
Exercise - 30 minutes per day, day 4
No candy during lent, day 30, no pauses allowed, 1 pause taken

I did not make it to the gym, but did enough housework to count as exercise five times over. I even washed windows today! They were really getting bad. Only got half of them done though, so will have to work on them again tomorrow.

Jolly – how wonderful that you were able to reconnect with an old friend. Good luck on your new challenges.

Carols – Congratulations on seven days. You’re well on your way to making this a habit! And congrats on the need to move your slider. Hopefully you can make it happen using Jolly's instructions.

Fit Chick – Welcome to the 21-day challenge. Yes, it is important that the challenges be reasonable. Losing 50 pounds by the end of the month never works out. This is a great thread for keeping you accountable.

Red – “New energy coming on”. I like that concept. Looking forward to seeing your new challenges.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend.

Day 5 & 6 - calorie count - good - no pauses

Ok, days 5 & 6 are done, but, I'm now that I'm on day 7, I absolutely cannot go over on calories, or I blow it! I should have thought this out a little better. I am ending the first week on a Sunday, which is when I actually cook things like breakfast AND dinner! I'm going to do my best here, and hopefully I won't be starting over tomorrow.

fitchick! Looking forward to having you join us.

Hi everyone! Gotta run. Breakfast is cooking.

Hello all. Well, feeling a tad sheepish today I have to take a pause day on the eating breakfast foods for breakfast challenge. While I could try to argue out of it, calling it brunch, saying it is a weekend, the fact is I made leftover pasta for breakfast. My bad.

I did go swim this morning. Wasn't able to do much, but since I haven't swam in a couple of years, I'll take it. Besides, that kind of counts as a rest day as well.

Well, off to work for a bit. Have a great day all, and will check in later.

Vege/fruit - at least 5 servings per day, day 5
Food log every day, day 5
Exercise - 30 minutes per day, day 5
No candy during lent, day 31, no pauses allowed, 1 pause taken

DJ - I hear you on the problem with the last day. My low calorie days are Sat and Sun so I'll be in the same situation on Tuesday.

Jolly - your confession made me laugh and also made me curious. What else do you eat for breakfast besides pasta? If they are healthy foods, maybe it doesn't matter whether they are technically breakfast foods. After all, nobody yells when we eat eggs for dinner!

Looking forward to hearing how everyone's weekend went.

Oh, my!! Weighed in at my highest weight in many years (though I've weighed more). I'll start my 21-days with writing down everything I eat and how much of it.

Hello all.

First off, Red, I thought I saw something on the news about quakes in Japan. Was I right, and are you ok??

Ashley, I had to laugh at your post. I agree, in and of itself, non breakfast foods for breakfast isn't a big thing. However, for me it tends to be a binge, not a breakfast. And it wasn't healthy food with the pasta. It was a sumo sized portion of non healthy pasta. I felt yucky all day.

Luckily though, later when I started to head to the store for , I remembered the big breakfast, and the fact I still felt stuffed, and turned around and didn't get anything.

I did do my abs after I ran this morning, and had cereal for breakfast. and I am posting, so that is 3 of my challenges for the day

Have a great day all. i have to work a 3rd shift tonight, so may not make it back to post.
