Yep, it's a long way, so he'll be gone for a while....
Okay, really, he's going to Chicago for this legal hearing on a case he's been involved with regarding the company he used to work for. The hope is that they will settle and we'll get some money out of them (also dozens of other former employees from around here will get a piece of the pie as well). Then he is rewarding himself with a 2 week vacation in Florida. Sounds a lot more extravagant than it is -- the court case pays his flight to Chicago, and it only cost him $100 to add a flight to Florida onto that, believe it or not. And he's staying on the sailboat of our gadabout sailing friends who are docked in a marina down there for the winter. I actually think we might
save money in the next 2 weeks. Well, unless I decide to do something a little wild myself...
Trouble is, I haven't heard from DH and from what I heard on the radio, his flights might have been delayed or cancelled. He doesn't seem to have turned on his cellphone.
Oh well, NMP, as they say. But I do hope he gets to his hotel room soon -- he's staying at the Hilton. La dee dah.
