diane, the mud riding sounds like fun! i quite often do things like a soup only day so it doesnt sound yuck at all.
tina, im not following a plan just reducing food intake and exercising. if i added up my calories it would be under a thousand per day so i should be losing. tammy, wow you've lost an amazing amount how long did it take you to lose all that. i would love to see some before and after pics i could do with some motivation! cheryl, glad you are feeling better. nicole, iv been home educating my son for a year and a half now. not having to do the school run in bad weather is a great perk!! well iv been really bad food wise today and havnt exercised. but im allowing myself an off day after this mornings disappointment, will be back on track tomorow! |
LIZA!! My dear, under 1000 calories is way to low!! You're body will start a starvation mode and will hang onto anything you give it rather than burn it. Your metabolism will lower and it will become harder for you to win this battle. Remember this journey is about becoming a healthier mom for your son. You must eat a healthy well balanced diet. If you'd like an idea of what you should eat for an average/healthy weight loss go to startyourdiet dot com. Fill out there analysis and go from there. I'm at 1466 cals per day which I've been sticking this past week. It seems to be pretty good. You gotta ask yourself this...is under a 1000 cals a day something you think you could live like for the rest of your life? Probably not because you'll be too hungry and more inclined to binge. Please take this advice into consideration, I'm only trying to help you out in the long run...hopefully a lifetime.

Hi girls . . . Our weather has taken a decided turn for awful and it's supposed to be staying that way for a couple more days. :(
Afraid I'm just not in the mood to talk much tonight. Just got back from the GYN appointment and I'm a little bummed out. He doesn't think there is anything really awful going on, but I have to have a D & C a week Friday . . . in other words we are still doing exploratory stuff. Hopefully I'll be in better humour tomorrow. Have a good evening of doing the good stuff. See you soon. :carrot: Afraid Mr. Carrot is feeling a lot bouncy than I am. :^: |
thanks for the link tina, i checked out the site and it says i should be having 1407calories. will try it that way and see if it works!
|
Hi everyone. This looks like a good thread with a lot of great info.
Is it okay if I post here. Thanks Ann |
Well everyone, I'm a bit nervous. Tomorrow is the big WW weigh in day. I know I'll show a loss....that's not the issue. I'm afraid because meeting time isn't until 6 pm!! That gives me a whole day to starve myself so I can have a really good weigh in! lol I don't want to starve myself because if I do I know that the first meeting I go to "unstarved" will not show probably any loss at all. But I sooo want the scales to show a 5 lb loss...Today I've had 9 of my 28 points. I've been under my target points everyday except one, I think. They say that's bad, but how can it be? It just means I'm eating fewer calories. I'm having all my "normal bodily functions." Seems to me it shouldn't be an issue...but they say it is. Oh well, I view it like this...as long as there is a loss and I feel good, have plenty of energy, and my body's working "correctly," I'm not going to stress over points. As long as I don't go over my daily target. I wish I could just stay too busy to eat too much. lol I guess if we did that, we wouldn't be here, huh?

Hi Gals
Just a fly by for me tonight... I have been on training all day and then just spent the last 1.5 hours working on a report. My brain is dead :D So I will just say congrats to the losers, good luck to those of you who have a WI tomorrow, hang in there for those of us maintaining and keep on keeping on to everyone else (i think that about covers it all !!) Take care and TTYS  oh oh oh before I forget, the scale was down 1.6 for me this morning..yahoo ! |
hey everyone :)
I feel better than I did all last week just having a good day under my belt so to speak. I did a good 30 minute (mostly) run on the treadmill and a brisk 30 minute walk tonight helping my son deliver notepads from a local realtor. I think it's going to take 2-3 weeks to undo my holiday damage, but c'est la vie I guess :) take care and good night. |
Happy Tuesday!
Afternoon ladies! Just getting home from water aerobics and feeling good. Today was actually the first day that every muscle group felt sore. Sometimes I feel the instructor spends a little more time on certain areas than total body. But today was certainly a shared workout for all muscle groups. Woo! Scales came down 1/2lb., I'll defeat Sundays late night dinner sooner or later!
Cheryl, so glad you're feeling better. How is eating upside-down coming along? or are you going to ease back into it since being sick. Kreen, nice to see you again! I so envy where you're at right now. I'd love to be at those door steps. I gotta work extra hard to get there faster..hehehe! Congrats on getting back into the groove! Liza, I think when I first started to lose my calories were at 1500-1600 per day. I'm surprised that you got 1400 to start with. I guess 1400 is a lot better than under 1000. When your body starts to adjust to your new routines then you jog around your calories. Linda, I'm enjoying our weather in the near pluses. Sorry to hear that you're getting not so nice weather. My mother went through years of biopsies and test before they finally gave in a gave her an hysterectomy. I know the anguish it causes, hang in there! From what my mom has gone through having a hysterectomy isn't all that it's cracked up to be either. Especially if they take your ovaries. Hi Ann, welcome to the group! Just jump right in and make yourself at home. Congrats on your great loss so far! How are you doing it? What is your game plan? Diane, have a great weigh in today! Looking forward to hearing the results! Hi Louie! Hope your brain has been revived today. Congratulations on your loss! Weigh to go! Emily, sounds like you had a good work out yesterday. Great going! Well, I should start thinking about lunch. Have an awesome day ladies! Here's to happiness and healthiness! TTFN! |
Afternoon Ladies...Hope you all are having a teriffic day and are staying warm.
Ann...So nice to have you join us. Looking forward to getting to know you better. Linda...So sorry you are having medical problems. Hope the D & C takes care of your problems and you don't have to have additional surgery. Tina...Yippie for you 1/2 pound loss and great job working out in the water. I wish I lived closer to town so I could do water arobics daily. I'm going mall walking with a couple of my friends tomorrow before we go to weight Watchers. Still too cold to go walking out doors, but we may see above zero tomorrow. Don't know if I will get back into my upside down eating or not. I'm basically eating what I feel like eating at each meal and watching my points/calories. I'm trying to stay at 1500 calories/24 points a day. Diane...Hope you had a teriffic weigh-in today! Can't wait to hear your results.:carrot: Liza...I agree with Tina, 1000 is way too low and loosing at that amount will only have you put the weight back on once you reach goal. I lost 80 pounds about 20 years ago eating 1000-900 calories a day, but it didn't take me long once I reached goal weight to put the 80 pounds and then some more back on. Your body is like engine, you need to feed it to make it work properly. Emily...Another one with a great workout. I'm sure your son enjoyed having you help him out. Louie...Congrats on the loss this week. :carrot: Kreen...How wonderful for you to be at the door step to onederland. Great job getting on your bootcamp workout Well gals, my Hubby just woke up and he wants the computer, so have a great afternoon. cheryl |
Yep, I'm still here, and yep, the weather is just as bad as they said it would be. Wow, it is UGLY. Took my friend up to a hospital appointment today and just made it back before the latest storm (or maybe it is just a continuation of yesterday - not sure. :dizzy:
CHERYL . . . Glad to hear you are feeling better. Sounds like a good plan - whatever direction you go in. :) TINA . . . Wonderful water workout, chickie. Sure sounds like it's working. :) EMILY . . . Another great worker-outer. Gee, I feel like a slug, although I have been bouncing with Buddy and the Frog. ;) LOUIE . . . Congrats on the loss. Obviously the training is helping you to keep working on something besides your brain. :) DIANE . . . Don't you get yourself into the habit of under-eating. Just because it feels okay in the short term, it's the long term that matters. WW picks those point levels for good, solid reasons. :) ANNE . . . Welcome to our group. Of course, it's okay! We love all the company we can get. Hope to be seeing a lot less of you, a lot more often, now that you've found us. ;) LIZA . . . So, so, so glad you've decided to up your calories. In the long run, your body will thank you. If you drop things too low, you definitely create problems later. :) KREEN . . . Glad to see you in the group, too. ONDERLAND is my goal for 2007. You will be there in no time, lucky girl. :) Well, I'd better get about my business. think I'll have some tea to tide me over until dinner time (and warm me up a little, too). You all have a great moving and shaking evening and I'll type to you again soon. :carrot: |
thanks for the advice guys, guess i just wanna see fast results but you're right i need to realistically be able to stick to it or in the long run its not gonna work. :o
|
 Just a flyby here tonight. I'm drowning in all the reading I have to do for class.
|
Good Evening, Friends
We had a little bit of snow again last night, but that was quickly followed up with some warmer temperatures and rain... so I think what little bit of snow we have will be gone within the next few days. Roll on spring !!! Ann, welcome to the group... just jump right in !! Tina - not sure if my brain is too revived yet. I have training for another few days this week, so will be looking forward to the weekend. Your water aerobics class sounds like a great workout ! Cheryl - good to see and good luck with your WI  Linda - another storm..uck !! Hopefully the weather turns around for you soon. I looked up Crazy Frog on yahoo music today, "he" has lots of songs and they are all so up beat. I can see how you and buddy enjoy it ! Liza - we all want to see fast results, but believe me you only want to lose the pounds once :D InLA - how did your WI go .. I know you probably did awesome  To all the other gals I hope you are taking care and keeping warm  Well I best skedaddle and get me some dinner. I had lunch out today so don't feel like too much but know I need to eat a little something, so a forging I will go. Talk to you tomorrow  |
Just a quickie to let everyone know my total weight loss for the week was (Drum roll, please!!).......6.6 lbs! My goal for next week is 3.4 to put me at an even 10 lbs!! We celebrated with somewhat of a big dinner. I'd had hardly any points today....saving up for the evening. I"m sure I used some flex points. Not sure how many, but I rarely use them...even when on WW before, so I'm not going to stress. Just back to the grindstone tomorrow.
Congrats to everyone else who had a rockin' day too! I think I'll have encouraging words for tomorrow.....my WW leader's words, actually. Wanna share, but will have to wait til in the am! Diana |
Hey chickie's another fly by for me but hopefully I will be able to get back at lunch. Sorry I was not here yesterday but I had some military things to take care of and was not around a computer all day. I also was not on plan for lunch and had Burger King but the scales are back down to 221 today so maybe I am back on my way to loosing again. I only have 1 more week to go to get back to ticker before I have to change it to the weight the scales show so I have to get on track. I don't want to have to go up more than 1 or 2 pounds and as of right now I am 6 pounds above it.
Well gotta run  |
Hey . . . the FFM is really trying to cheer me up . . . she took away 3 lbs this morning . . . just about the biggest week's loss since the beginning of last year. :goodscale Now, if the weather would just cooperate a little. Another UGLY day out there. Snowing and blowing to beat the band.
LIZA . . . . . . Good girl. We all want it gone, yesterday. A little slower is usually a lot more lasting, though. Remember that the tortoise was the one that won the race. :D NICOLE . . .. . . Just :club: those books into submission, girl. You'll make us all proud. LOUIE . . . . . . We are having more than a little. Knew it had to come, though. Yep, Buddy and I love that Frog. :lol3: DIANE . . . . . . Wowee, Wowee, Wow, Wow . . . that is absolutely fantastic. :D How did DH do? What about MIL . . . :s: . . . bet she'd be impressed (and probably jealous, too.) ROBBIN . . . . . . Get a good week under your belt and you'll be so much closer. You can do it, chickie. :) Well, guess I'd better get bundled up and put the garbage out. Really don't want to do it because it is so awful out there, but we only get garbage pickup once every two weeks and I don't want to have to save it for another two weeks. Have a great moving and shaking day of heading in the great downward direction, gang. See you soon. :carrot: |
Thanks, ya'll!! :) I think MIL isn't even going to meetings now. Makes me feel kinda bad, I guess. She'd be going if I'd gone with her. :(
I really wanted to share what my WW leader shared with us last night....It's kinda common sense stuff, but when you hear it....the light bulb kinda blinks on and you say to yourself, "DUH!" She just talked about sticking with it and how the plateaus won't last forever. She prompted us all to think of things (hard things) we've stuck with before and how when you compare those things to our own very health, some of the things we've stuck with are so trivial, so why are we not sticking with making ourselves healthy? How much more important is our very life than, say, school (no offense to those ofyou in school....it IS important...I'm not saying that). But yet we neglect ourselves for school, when in fact, if we die from obesity-related illness, our school (which was important enough to stick with) will be useless. I don't know if I'm making the point as well as she did, but it just made me really stop and think. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that for those of you who've hit plateaus (I know my own are coming), stick with it....fight for it....fight for your life! Nothing you are doing is more important than your own very life. Make your health your priority! Stick to it, ya'll! Each of you are worth it...you all are important and God loves each of you! He wants us all happy and healthy, but we have the free will to make that happen or not. Let's do it!! **Someone please remind me of this very post when I get discouraged....Hopefully it will encourage me again later like it did last night! lol ** Talk to you all later! |
Linda - 3 pounds YAY for you. You go Girl:carrot: . You have worked so hard and I am so proud of you.
Diane - I really appreciate your post. It really makes alot of sense and has given me hope for motivation. Yummy salad for lunch, not sure what dinner will be. Hope everyone is having a good day. |
Just a quick pop-in for tonight. Had my weigh in at WW, and I was down 1.6 lbs. I'm totally happy about this.:carrot: :carrot:
Diane...We also got a similar speach from out leader today. She put it this way. We spend years learning to read, play an instrument, get a High School diploma or college degree, but when it comes to our weight, we expect it to be gone like yesterday. All things worth having will take time and effort to achive. And yes, the light bulb went off in my head. Diane, I have also cut my points back to 30. I'm suppose to use 36, but I was seeing the scales go UP instead of down. I also do not use my extra 35 points, but know that they are there if I have a splurg. Linda...Yippie for the fairy fat mother visiting you. It was so nice of her to take three pounds from you. Robbin...Hope you see those last few pounds gone over the weekend and you are back to ticker weight. I had to correct my ticker for all the holiday eating I did. I have loss 10 lbs in three weeks, so I'm diffently back on track. Had a teriffic day and got my walk in at the mall with my friends. Going to do it every Wednesday. Till later, Cheryl |
Hi Ladies,
I hope you are all doing well. Robbin, Has the ice storm affected you? I hope the scales start going down for you soon, so you don’t have to adjust the ticker. Liza, Upping your calories was a good move. 1000 calories is far too low, I don’t think many people could eat at that low level for very long without getting so hungry that they go off plan. I really think you would find that you would lose pretty well at 1700/1800 calories per day. I was able to eat that many until I got down to the 230s, then I had to bring it down to 1500/1600 to continue to lose much. Losing in LA, Thanks! So far it’s taken about 17 months to lose what I’ve lost so far. I guess what has kept me motivated is just seeing the scales lower. I started out doing Suzanne Somer’s diet from her books. I’ve tweaked it some to add things that I couldn’t live without, and started counting calories. I don’t eat sugar, HFCS, white flour, white potatoes or white rice, and I do eat lots of protein and fruits and vegetables, some whole grains. Congratulations for your fantastic loss this week. Tina, Just when you think Christmas is over, there’s one more dinner. Glad to hear that the scales are moving down for you. Cheryl, Glad you’re feeling better. Congrats on losing! Kreen, Congratulations on being so close to the 100s. You just keep on going! Linda, I hope the D & C helps the problems that you are having. Congratulations on your wonderful loss this week. :goodscales: Ann, Welcome to the thread. Feel free to jump right in, Louie, Congrats on your loss -1.6 :cb: Hi to everyone I missed. No change for me on the scales yet this week. I’m having a hard time this week being motivated. I’m still on plan, but I’m once again thinking about going into maintenance mode. I’m trying to hold out until I hit onederland, but I may or may not make it. I haven’t exercised since Monday, which is very unusual for me, and I am already dreading getting up early enough to exercise tomorrow, but I HAVE to get back on track with my exercise tomorrow. I’m commiting to you guys that I will walk at least two miles tomorrow morning. Have a great week. |
Happy Wednesday!
Good evening ladies! I had a really good day as far as cloud nine goes....scales are back/close to ticker today...212.5!!! I was so excited! :carrot: I really wanna finally stake this weight and move on...seems I always get this far and somehow screw myself back up a couple of pounds. Not this time, I totally feel my groove really jiving. I want reach the 210's so bad I can taste it, not to mention the fabulous ONE-derland that's right behind it. I hope you all had a good day, this post comes later than usual. I had a day full with not much free "me" time.
Cheryl, congrats on the unexpected loss. A surprise is always so motivating and exciting. How did your mall walking go? What a great idea to walk the mall and visit with friends in an environment that "I" personally love...hehehe! Linda, congrats on your loss! Seems the FFM is making her rounds more steadily around here. Liza, how ya doing? Haven't many details from you lately. Still doing treadmill and situps? I'm glad you decided to adjust your caloric intake. It's takes some getting used to (this new lifestyle) but you'll soon know all the ins and outs and what works for you best. Nicole, wow, try to keep your head above the notebooks! Louie, I hear ya sista! Roll on spring! I can't wait to stop having to bundle up Alyssa and myself. It's so time consuming, not to mention restricting at times. Oh for the day to slip on some sandals and just GO! Diana, wow...talk about an amazing loss! How motivating is that! Not to mention what your leader was saying. It rang so true to me aswell, thanks for sharing. Congrats girl! Robbin, come on girl...you can wrap this up! I'm rootin' for ya to have to NOT change that ticker much, if at all next week. What a great challenge to give yourself. Go Robbin! Go Robbin! Tammy, we're exactly the same weight. Come on girl..I wanna cross that onederland line with somebody. You can do this, you will find your power to keep trudging. Going into maintenance is hard to get out of. At least I know this was true for me. After seeing the scale not move for weeks I lost my oomph to really put in the effort needed. After seeing the same weight since July/August...I'm so ready to get back into this whole heartedly and cross that line finally. Well ladies have a great night and I'll see you in the A.M. right after my water aerobics class. TTFN! |
Hey everyone- hope you had a great day. It snowed here pretty much all day so I got some extra exercise in by having to shovel twice. (and dh shoveled once before work!) I also tried Dance Dance Revolution for the first time as a workout. I've played around with it with the kids, but never for more than a few minutes. I did 40 minutes today and it was so fun! Nice change from the treadmill. Dh had a co-worker give him an xbox and I found the pad and game used. It's fun.
I've been back on track eating-wise this week...things are good. I have to go to Calgary tomorrow to pick up a friend from the airport and have decided to treat myself to a yummy lunch. I'll be "mostly" on track for the day...I'll probably just end up getting something at the mall. Sorry, I haven't done personals for awhile. Tina and Tammy- lets all get to 199 together!! We are all so close. Well, better get to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. |
Howdy girls!!!:carrot:
I'll tell you stay gone a little while and there is too much too catch up on!!! Glad to see things so active, but way more than i have time to read back over and still get to post so no personals today. But WOW sounds like there have been some great losses and some awesome thoughts rolling around this place. There is a really positive vibe right now and that is so wonderful to be a part of! Unfortunately, i am stuck in plateau **** right now and have acutally gone up a little more. I am having to have some tests run and other things done in the next 2 mos so i am distracted to say the lest but I am really fighting the urge to throw in the towel. Seeing all the encouragement here really helps. Biggest thing right now is i know i have got to stop blaming everything but me and my choices. Well gotta run ladies and get lunch packed and Amelia off to school. Hey all you guys with the snow, want to send a little my way?? I miss it so much! Have a good one! Erin |
tina, didnt wanna bore people with how many situps/minutes/reps was doing every day.
still on track have upped my calories to about 1500, got a new workout dvd which arrived in post this morning so gonna give that a go this evening, didnt do any exercise yesterday as had to go and have bloods taken in the morning and was feeling a little faint. we've got severe weather warning here today with 80mph winds, just about to go out so hope my little boys feet manage to stay on the ground lol!! |
Just another fly-by from me. I ordered my books online to save money (I saved almost $300!), but that meant starting off behind. *sigh* I added it up and had about 400 pages to read this week in 5 classes. At least I can see the light at the end now. Course I have to fit getting my house party ready for my daughter's party on Sunday, and I won't be home at all Saturday because we're driving a couple of hours away to get my "new" car. AF must be one her way. The scale jumped back up 2 lbs this morning. :(
|
Morning, Gals
Didn't make it here yesterday, so before I scoot off to work I just wanted to drop in and say hello. I will be back later for personals. Have a great day  |
just tried out the dvd and i lasted about 3minutes :o theres loads of jumping and stuff that theres no way this 280 pound whale can do :(
will have to stick to the treadmill for a bit longer i think, walking i can just about manage, anything more difficult than that, no thanks!! |
Happy Thursday!
Afternoon! How are all you fine "losers" doing today? I hope well of course! I'm having a pretty good day so far. Everything in line and exercise is completed for the day...just working keeping my fingers busy and gulping the water.
Emily, how are your arms today after all that shoveling? I know when I have to do it my shoulders are so soar that I can't lift a thing! I would love to try a dance workout but like I said before I'm not very co-ordinated. By the way, say hi to my brother for me as you go through Calgary! And I would love to get to 199 with a group of us! Erin, I'm so glad you've been fighting the urge to quit. We need ya girl! You can beat this plateau. Keep posting often, as you say..this place is very encouraging and motivating..take advantage girl! I hope all is well with you and your tests are not that serious. Liza, the simple task of posting our accomplishments we make throughout each day is very good to our weight loss egos. Having something positive to post is great, it makes us strive each day to keep it up so we can share. I'm sure none of us mind, in fact it's motivating! What kind of workout dvd did you get? Nicole, that's a heck of a savings and a heck of a lot of reading! I'm glad too that you're seeing the light at the end. Have a fun weekend! A new car is always exciting. Louie, Hey girl! Have a great day! What's everyone having for dinner tonight? I'm having pork loin chops in a zesty lemon/rosemary sauce. Not sure whats for a side yet...salad for sure as one! TTFN! |
Hi Gang . . .
Afraid I'm having something of an upside down and backward day. Woke up in the wee hours and puddled around because I couldn't get back to sleep. Finally conked out again about 8:30 am and slept for four hours. Had to rush out for a few hours this afternoon and just got back. It's a lot warmer than yesterday, but still -20C (-4F) and windy. At least the sun was out. Of course, usually by this time of year we are calling this :beach: weather, but not this weird year. Hey, at least it's strange all over so I don't feel alone in the weirdness. :dizzy: ROBBIN . . . . . . Keep on doing the good stuff girl. You can make it pay. DIANNE . . . . . . We all guide our own lives. Think of yourself not your MIL. BTW, I copied your WW words into Word for safe keeping. Never fear, I can hit you with it if needed. :) CHERYL . . . . . . Congrats on the loss. Your leader is on-track too. Nothing worth having comes easy. If it did, we probably wouldn't want it anymore anyway. TAMMY . . . . . . I know I've said it before, but it is definitely worth repeating. You have done so well. You are an inspiration to all of us. Hang in there, girl. Make "199" your mantra. You'll be there in no time. :) TINA . . . . . . Fantastic . . . so happy to see that number coming down so wonderfully for you. Want to hear you joining in on that "199" chant, darlin'. :) EMILY . . . . . . Lots of great exercise. Everytime you heave that shovel, scream "199". Wow, it is getting noisy in here. Keep it up, baby. :) ERIN . . . . . . Hang in there, our numbers will be just a little longer in reaching that wonderful new century . . . but it will come. :) NICOLE . . . . . . Keep reading, keep reading, keep reading and soon you will be all caught up and able to enjoy all the money you saved. :book2: LOUIE . . . . . . Have a great day. See you later. :) LIZA . . . . . . Never you fear, chickie, you will get there. I hve lots of DVD's that I feel that way about . . . someday, I'll wonder why I thought they were so difficult and so will you. :) Well, it's about dinner time (even though it kind of feels more like lunch to me). Hope I get to sleep at a reasonable time tonight . . . it's those terrible wide-awake in the middle of the night sessions that cause me to get to feeling really nibbly . . . bad, bad, bad. So here's a triple dose of :dust: :dust: :dust: I'm really going to need it and I'm willing to share with anyone else in need of the extra little :kickbutt: too. Have a great moving and shaking evening, girls . . . see you later. :carrot: |
Hey chickies, I gotta make this quick but I did want to fit in a few personals.
Tammy – We did get hit by the ice storm, we ended up with about 2 ½ inches of solid ice. We are also supposed to get 5 – 9 inches of snow this weekend. YUCK! You are so close to Onderland and I know you can do it. Go Tammy, Go Tammy………….. Cheryl – Congrats on the 1.6 gone forever. Please send that fairy fat mother my way. Tina – Congrats on getting back to ticker. I am determine to get back to mine and then try to catch you. Emily – I have been thinking about getting a dance pad for our play station but was not sure about how much exercise it would be. Do you feel like it was a good work out? Erin – I hear you about the plateau I am stuck to but I think it is from lack of trying. Come on girl lets kick this in the rump. Nicole – sorry to hear about the scale jump but you know you can kick it to the curb. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. Louie – Nice to see a fly by from you also. Liza – Ok so you lasted 3 minutes, that is 3 minutes longer than nothing right? Tomorrow try for 4 minutes and the next day 5 minutes. Before you know it you will have the whole DVD done. Linda – sorry to hear about the sleep problems. I get in to those ruts sometimes where I don’t sleep right and it really can mess you up. Thanks for the will power dust I know I can use it. Well girls I have been totally on track for the past two days and that includes exercise. I feel like maybe I am getting my groove back. The scales are at 221 this morning but I think some of it is due to sore muscles holding fluid from the exercise. Well I guess I had better get to work. But I want to leave you all with this tid bit of information I found yesterday. The Capsaicin in chile peppers increases calorie burning by up to 62% for more than 20 minutes after consumption. Adding chile peppers in the form of hot sauce (Tabasco) to a healthy diet can help you loose up to a pound a week. |

Not enjoyable, but it got so bad that the school wanted to send us home early.I went from one class to the other and got completely soak. Sorry I cant write more but I gotta go. Wow . . . just a really quick HELLO from me tonight . . . the storm is soooooo bad -- really heavy rain and really high winds -- I'm worried about the power going down at any minute.
Have a great evening, all, and hopefully I'll see you tomorrow. :carrot: |
its that time of the month so not feeling like exercising or eating healthily:(
hope the rest of you are doing ok! luv n hugs XXX |
Good Morning . . .
The roof is still attached to the top of my house; although there were a few times during the night that I might have thought differently. The wind is still howling, but definitely not as badly as last night and it has stopped precipitating for the moment. :D Actually, the sun is even popping out from time to time. Hope it keeps it up since I do have to go out for a few groceries -- cannot exist without the makings of the daily "big salad" ;) Anyway, gang . . . keep things moving and shaking. If we keep on doing the good stuff just as much as we possibly can, we will be rewarded. See you soon. :carrot: |
Morning ladies,
I am once again back on track with my exercising, which makes me feel so much more in control. Thanks for all of the motivation you guys give me, you’re wonderful! The scales said 211 this morning, (well 211.8, but I never count the tenths). :cb: :cb: Tina, Congrats for being back to ticker and falling. Oh I so understand the wanting to cross the onederland line. There are several of us pretty close to getting there, and I think it’s a great idea to plan to do it with buddies. Emily, You getting some great exercise with your snow shoveling and the DDR. I’m on board getting to 199 with you. Won’t it be great to see that on the scale. Erin, Stay with us over the next 2 months even with all of the distractions. I hope your tests go well and aren’t serious. Liza, Walking is a great way to burn calories, so there’s no reason to not keep doing it until you’re ready for something else. Hope your weather has calmed down. The news reports here are talking about how deadly it has been. Nicole, What a lot of reading to catch up on! It amazes me how much higher textbooks are now than when I was in college 20 years ago. (We thought they were high then!) It sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead. Hi Louie  Linda, Thank you for saying “I’m” an inspiration. It’s hard for me to imagine that I could be, but I appreciate you saying it anyway. :) Yes, 199, 199, 199 is what I keep thinking lately. I hope you were able to sleep the entire night, although the storm probably didn't help. Middle of the night is when I feel nibbly too. Robbin, Wow, 5 – 9 inches of snow? Is that unusual for you guys? I didn’t think Oklahoma received much snow. I’m glad to hear that you are back on track with both food and exercise. That scale will start dropping anytime now. Leygh, Good luck on your exams this week. I have heard about the storm there. Stay safe! |
Ready for the weekend !

Sorry it's been a few days for me. I work allllllllll day on Thurs. and Fri. so I usually don't have much time for anything else. I'll usually be scarce those days. :(
Well, since Tuesday's weigh in I've had a pretty lousy week (thus far). Scales haven't budged a millimeter! I'm hoping it's just due to the awesome first week I had. I'm hoping I'm not at a plateau this quickly. I'm staying on target.....under, actually (which could possibly be my problem, although I feel like I'm eating PLENTY!!). I may use my "no weigh in" pass this week at WW, just to spare myself the discouragement. If they budge this week, I may be a pound. If I'm lucky!! I'm not discouraged yet, though. I'm horrible with names, guys. That's why I'm not doing personals so much. I'm trying to still learn everyone's names. Right now, in order to do personals, I have to go from page to page to page. There's a lot I'd like to write to people, but I'm having trouble remembering who said what! lol I've been bad with names my whole adult life. :( No matter how hard I try. Everyone who's close to onderland, I can hardly wait to be there with ya! I'm hoping by summer.......... Have a great weekend, everyone! |

Hey guys - well I'm down 2.2 lbs this week which I'm totally shocked by as I have done NO exercise this week! I did mean to but I've just been a lazy butt. So I really need to get cracking on this week to keep the weight loss going. Good news is I'm within 3 lbs of my pre-CHristmas weight, so not long to go now. My jeans are getting loose again.
