Hey ladies a quick fly by for me this morning. Weekend sucked scale wise. Saturday the scale bounced 219 to 220 which was good but Saturday night we went to some friends house and I ended up having about 5 margaritas which has left me holding tons of water and then yesterday TOM showed up and caused me to want to eat the paint off the walls. Today the scales are up to 224. UGH, where did my willpower go? I did exercise both Saturday and Sunday but a lot of good it did me.

Check back later, gotta get to work.

Cheryl120 01-22-2007 10:01 AM

Hi ladies...Just a quick fly by this morning. Had a busy weekend, it was my Hubby's long weekend off, so we had ton's of things to be done. I've done good with my eating, but it's been a stuggle. Aunt FLO showed up, and I'm like Robbin, I could eat the paint off the walls!!! Thank goodness I don't have any sweet or salty foods in the house, just healthy stuff. I'll try to check back later.

lol i was too scared to weigh in this morning i feel loads heavier so must have gained a few lbs over the last few days :o

meowee 01-22-2007 04:33 PM

Hello everybody . . . . . . looks like I'm just kind of passing through too. Spent way too much time at the hospital today, talking about things to do on Friday and having a bunch of pre-admission tests. At least I now know that I can expect to be out again on Friday after surgery -- supposedly in about 4 hours all told.

Wow it was cold out there . . . especially since it was still dark when I left home . . . but even when I was coming back and it was beautifully sunny. Actually, :o the temps are pretty much 'seasonal', but we are just not used to seasonal this year.

Glad to hear everybody is doing pretty good. Congratulations to all for any SV's or NSV's. Keep on moving and shaking and doing the good stuff, gang. See you soon. :carrot:

Nikel1979 01-22-2007 04:50 PM

Just another fly-by today, but I promise I'll get back to personals tomorrow. Saturday my mom came to watch the kiddies, and my husband I I drove down to GA (about 5 hours, each way), to get my new car. I now drive a 2000 Mazda MPV. Yup, I own a minivan. Ack! And I like it! Double Ack! the most kick-butt thing though is we paid cash. :) Then Sunday, we had my daughter's 2nd birthday party. My husband was sick last week, and now the rest of us have it. Fortunately, not nearly as bad, but it's really making me feel worse about my daughter weaning back in the fall. :( Af did show, which accounted for the scale jump. It's gone back down, plus an extra pound off. :) I'm only recoding my measurements once a month, so I'm not sure the inches lost, but I'm hoping for an early spring. My jeans are getting too big, and if I'm buying new clothes, I'd like to be buying shorts and sundresses instead of jeans and sweaters. ;)

AndrewsMum 01-22-2007 08:42 PM

i weighed and im not a happy bunny back up to 284 :(

Louie 01-22-2007 10:46 PM

Hi Gals

Just a fly by from me. It has been a long day and I have an early start so going to try and relax for an hour and then head off to bed.

Hope everyone is doing well and I will make it back soon for a longer post

meowee 01-23-2007 05:44 PM

Hi NICOLE . . . . . . Sorry you are feeling sick. Congrats on the new vehicle (amazing how our tastes can change over the years, isn't it), and on getting rid of the extra pound as well as the WWW.

Hi LIZA . . . . . . Oh poor unhappy bunny. Just hang in there, girl, things will get moving in the right direction again soon. Tomorrow is my official WWI and unless a miracle occurs, I'll be joining your unhappy club. :(
BTW, here is another one to add to your list of PMS meanings -- Perpetual Male Stupidity.

Yep . . . I had a little melt-down last night (probably stressed about the up-coming surgery even though it is only a minor procedure). I devoured a whole litre (quart) of NSA frozen yogurt. It tasted like it was worth every calorie on the way down . . . but the gas from the Maltitol that kept waking me up all night was not quite so wonderful. :o Anyway, I've been a good little dobee so far today.

Hi LOUIE . . . . . . Keep those wings a flappin, girl and we'll see you when you get a chance to land.

Okay, chickadees, I'd better go get my salmon and "big" salad ready for dinner. Luckily, there's very little nasty stuff I can get into in the house. Of course, too much good stuff is still too much, so wish me luck. Here's a triple dose of :dust: :dust: :dust: to keep us heading in the right direction. Keep things moving and shaking and I'll see you later, gators. :carrot:

GainingWeightInLa 01-24-2007 08:15 AM

Hey girls! :) Last night was WW weigh in. Good news and bad news. Bad news was that my goal was to reach a 10 lb (total) loss. I'd lost 6.6 last week, was hoping for a 3.4 this week. The rest of the bad news is that I only lost 1.2 lb this week. The good news is that I lost 1.2 lbs....good because it was a loss instead of a gain! So my total loss is 7.8...I guess not too bad for a 2 week total. I wish it were 10, though. :( My goal is definitely 10 by next week. Surely I can do 2.2 this week. I'm really looking forward to buying new clothes a size SMALLER!!! Hopefully I'm only a few weeks from it! :) :) :)
It sounds like we're all kindof struggling this week. My WW leader says something to the effect of "well, it was fun putting it all on. It can't be fun taking it all back off, but it's worth it!!!! Let's get healthy!!" She talked about exercise this week (last night). I'm going to try to be more active, but I'm not doing an "exercise program." That's the thing I find to be the hardest. I cannot workout at home in my living room. It just doesn't motivate me. But it's impossible to go the the gym or rec center alone with a 22 month old and get anything done besides chasing her around. (Everyone I know works during the day and cannot watch her for me.) Not quite sure how I'm going to be able to get my exercise in, yet.

I'll be back later. Almost time to take my son to school....and have to stop for gas. :( BRRRRRRR!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day abundantly filled with blessings only God could give! He loves you each and every one!! :)

RRVMMM 01-24-2007 09:23 AM

Just a quick pop in for me I will try to get back soon for some personals. I have been on track with food and exercise this week so far and the scales are sitting at 223 and not wanting to budge. I have till Saturday to get them as low as I can before I have to move that stupid ticker up to the correct weight. UGH I hate the thought of going up instead of down but I gave myself 2 weeks to get back and I then have to move the ticker to the correct weight. I hope that when TOM is over I will see a drop.

Well gotta get to work, Check back later.

meowee 01-24-2007 11:10 AM

Oh well . . . remember that three pounds I was raving about losing last week . . . two of them came back as of this morning. BOO / HISS  The human body is so much fun to work with. :( Now my week was definitely not as good as last week. My total calorie intake was 1400 higher; but 1400 calories does not 2 pounds make (not even 1/2 a pound), so hopefully it is mostly WWW and will go away soon. :^:

DIANE . . . . . . that is a great loss for two weeks and the current 1+ is nothing to sneeze at either. BTW, is it Diane or Dianne?

ROBBIN . . . . . . hopefully some of it is TOM. Good Luck on kicking the rest to the curb, too.

Have a great day, chickies . . . keep things moving and shaking. See you soon. :carrot:

ELEM-PGF 01-24-2007 02:17 PM

Well girls where do it start?? Life is pretty weird right now. Had a little mental, spiritual and physical breakdown over the last week. 8 year anniversary of losing my twins and apparently haven't coped with it as well as i thought. (for those of you who haven't heard the story, i delivered twin girls Savannah and Victoria at 23 weeks gestation, they lived about 8 hours before they died) But thanks to wonderful friends and family and a gracious God i am getting back on my feet and moving in a much more positive direction. My weight is hanging about 246, up and down here and there so i am not moving the ticker just yet. I am hoping to get things back to there and below really quick.

Have skimmed through all the posts I missed and will offer some generic personals-- is that possible sounds a little contradictory, huh!!

Congrats to all the losers and i am with all of you WWW and mysterious gainers. Plateaus are so much fun!

Sounds like there is lots of weird weather going on out there, hope everyone is coming through it safely! We are already hearing talk of some white stuff coming our way NEXT Thursday, guess they want to give everyone a chance to get their milk and bread! I will probably get a little extra non-perishables over the weekend and hope for the best!

Seems we have a few others MIA at the moment and still a few flyer's by, hope all is going well with you and we can have a better visit soon!

Well ladies i finally did a little meal planning. So far its only been supper meals that are planned and pretty much just the main course. I made low carb spicy peanut chicken last night and i am going to try homestyle turkey loaf tonight. I am realizing that side dishes are where things get really boring for me, but i am surfing the books and hopefully will liven things up here a little more real soon!

Well guess i am going to get going now. I am debating on trying a new exercise DVD i got. One of the more dance style videos. I am no Ginger Rogers for sure so we'll see!

Well ladies, keep the positive thoughts going and doing what we know is best for us!!!!!! Let's not be our own worst enemies! Have a good evening and will try to be back soon. I keep saying that though don't I!

LadyLai 01-24-2007 02:41 PM

Hey ladies...sorry I've MIA. It was just a usual weekend for me and didn't get a chance to check in. Then come monday PMS set in and has affected me this time like no other. I've been taken from my high horse and knocked down to what I feel is like my lowest low. All I wanted to do is sigh and cry and I had/have no reason why. It's very discouraging and the scales are not very nice to me either. Everytime I think about where I was before last weekend compared to what they are now (217) that I get even more depressed. I have to keep reminding myself that is all the effects of TOM and it will pass and I'll be back. It just hasn't been a great few days for me and I don't know how to explain it, but I'm not me and I don't feel like doing much. Oh why do we have to have hormones like this!?

Anyways....I hope you all are still treking and getting results. I hope to be back to me soon!

TTFN!

GainingWeightInLa 01-24-2007 02:45 PM

Think I'm having an off day. I've been not keeping up with my points today....I've had maybe 4-5 points of instant mash potatoes, probably 2C. of popped popcorn (no points, I don't think...haven't checked) and two bowls (probably 3 Cups) of chili....at 2-3 points/cup. I'm just hungry today! :( I've gotta get a handle on this!!! :( I'm not eating again til supper....and it'll be light then! I'm gonna go attempt to tally up my points...hard to do when you don't measure. :( Guess I can get a ballpark, huh?

ELEM-PGF 01-24-2007 05:06 PM

Girlies girlies girlies!!!!!! we have got to get out of these doldrums!!!!!! Tina, i am with ya girl, life can get so overwhelming and just typing can be more effort than you want to expend! Diana, I have got major munchies myself right now and know it is sugar withdrawal. So i am trying to fill up on healthy carbs and keep going!!! Time to go whip up my turkey loaf!!! Hope ya'll have a good evening! Erin

Cheryl120 01-24-2007 09:48 PM

Evening Ladies...It's been a couple of busy day for me, and I'm loking forward to the next couple of days so I can just stay home and get some housework done.
Had a great weigh-in at weight watchers...1.7 lbs. I feel in my heart that I will be below 299 by June. I also got in a 40 minute walk in at the mall this morning:carrot:

Diane...I know it can be hard to take time out for yourself when you have very small children. Can you put your 22 month old in a stroller and go for a walk. It may sound weird, but I grab a grocery cart at K-Mart, put my purse and jacket inside it and walk the mall. Once the snow is gone, I plan on buying a joggers stroller, and give my dog Ozzy a ride. He's gone blind, and it's just too hard to take him walking with me on a leash, but he loves to ride, and with gravel roads the jogger's stroller should do the trick. :woohoo: That's a great loss for the week! 7.8 for two weeks is AWESOME!!! I'm also hoping for a 2.2 lb loss for next week, but I won't be dissapointed if I don't make it. I look at only 5 lbs at a time and nothing more.
Diane, something for you to think about; you have loss almost 32 cubes of butter. 32 cubes of butter that are not on your hips!:D

Linda...Sorry to hear you had a little melt down. We have all been there and done that. You will have those 2 pounds gone in no time.

Robbin...Sorry that darn scale isn't moving for you. Sounds like your body is adjusting and soon you will see the scales heading downward. Don't get discourage, OK!

Tina...OK Tina, enough!! You need to sit down and think about how far you have come. Sweetie, you have loss over 50lbs and I know how bad you want to see 199. It will happen, just not as fast as you would like it. I'm sure PMS has you retaining water and giving you the blues really bad, but this too will pass. Get your rear in gear and give your exercise equipment some heavy duty workout. A thought for you, you have loss 228 cubes of butter! That should put a smile on your face.

Erin...I'm so sorry for your loss, but I know with time and God's grace the years will get better for you. How was your turkey loaf? I use a lot of receipes out of "Light and Tasty" and "Cooking Light". I should get my butt in gear and post a few that I really like for you gals.

Liza...Sending the :wizard: fairy fat mother your way. I just know you will report a loss for next week.:carrot:

Louie...Hope you fly by for a visit and are having a good week.

Well girl's, I've got a few points to play with tonight, so I going to fix myself a bowl of strawberries and vanilla yogurt for a snack. Stocked my frig with fresh fruit and veggies today, boy have the prices jumped from last week, but we got to do what we got to do to get healthy.

Till later,

cheryl

RRVMMM 01-25-2007 01:44 PM

Well ladies just another quick drop in for me and I am sorry to do it but my days have been so so busy here lately its hard to find time to get here. I did want to pop in though and let you all know that the scales are finally moving again. I went from 223 yesterday to 219 today :carrot: ............ Man it feels good. I have stuck with my exercise everyday since Friday and am feeling much more in the groove.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

meowee 01-25-2007 03:15 PM

Hi gang . . .

Sorry, but I've only got time for a quickie, too. The day has been very busy, the evening will be equally so and I have to go to bed early so I can get up long before the crack of dawn to get to the hospital by 6:30 a.m. - what a horrible hour for surgery - oh well, hopefully that means I get home earlier too.

Of course, the weather is beautifully calm and sunny today; the weather is supposed to be beautifully calm and sunny on Saturday . . . but tomorrow . . . 4 to 6 inches of snow and high winds . . . it figures.

Don't imagine I'll be around much tomorrow and maybe not the weekend either . . . but I'll see you all again soon. Keep things moving and shaking everybody. :carrot:

jtammy 01-25-2007 03:19 PM

Just a quickie to wish you well tomorrow Linda, during your procedure. Hope it goes smoothly and that you're feeling better soon.

Cheryl120 01-25-2007 08:08 PM

Linda, just pop-in to let you know I will be think of you tomorrow. Hope you sail through your surgery and back home by the afternoon. Hope you put your feet up and relax for the rest of the weekend.

Cheryl

LadyLai 01-25-2007 08:18 PM

Hey ladies..I feel a lot better today. PMS seems like poor excuse to give, but I tell ya I felt awful, overwhelmed and there was nothing anyone could say that I would have helped me beleive in myself at that moment. I just had to live through it and try not to do much damage. Thankfully it's passed now and I can move on as fast as I can and lose as much as I can before the next PMS strike next month! LOL! Hopefully those depressive hormones are once in a blue mooners.

Cheryl, thanks for the pep!

Linda, all the best tomorrow. I wish you a speedy recovery!

Hi to everyone else! I want to get to personals but I am going to have a very busy weekend starting tonight. My mom is coming into town to help out. My aunt is moving into her new house a block away from me. I'm excited for the workout that I'll be getting moving those boxes. Not to mention I enrolled Alyssa for ballet and tap lessons starting saturday. And my sister will be here with her kit and kaboodle. I don't think I'll get much free time. Have an awesome weekend and keep up your chins ladies and lets move this fat outta here!

TTFN!

Louie 01-25-2007 09:39 PM

Hi Girlie Girls

Where does the time go... I haven't even made a fly by recently (bad me!!)

I hope you are all doing well and keeping on track. Take care and TTYS

RRVMMM 01-26-2007 10:12 AM

Hey ladies how is everyone? Scales were ok this morning at 220 not great but not as bad as it has been. I am in a downer mood, it hit me this morning that January is almost over and all I have left with my husband before he leaves is Feburary and March. I know I should not be feeling sorry for myself but I just cant help it today.

Linda - Good luck with your sugery hope everything turns out for the good.

Guess i had better get to work. Check back soon.

AndrewsMum 01-26-2007 06:56 PM

Linda big hugs and good luck hope everything goes well.

iv been a bit off track this week, putting 4lbs back on put me on a bit of a downer, wasnt too bad with food but have done no exercise. have ordered a twister stepper thingy which should be here in next couple days.

meowee 01-27-2007 01:45 PM

Hi everybody . . . . . . thanks for all the warm thoughts.

Obviously, I came through the little procedure okay and the sorest place I have happens to be my throat and neck (from the tube they stuff down your throat). Hey, this too will pass . . . Unfortunately, the GYN has already told me that I will need a hysterectomy based on what he 'found' yesterday. I'll get the details at my next visit in 3 or 4 weeks . . . oh well, I can't say I didn't expect this . . . just wish we hadn't bothered with the D&C . . . I mean it's not like I want to preserve the system so I can have more children (:D bite your tongue).

Anyway . . . you all have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend . . . keep things moving and shaking . . . I'll see you all soon. Keep looking at the sunny side of life. It will serve you proud in the long run. :carrot:

AndrewsMum 01-28-2007 10:13 AM

hope you feel better soon linda, glad to see you back was worrying bout you XXXXXXX

meowee 01-28-2007 05:31 PM

Thanks LIZA . . . . . . I am starting to feel better today although the throat is still sore. Looks like it's just you and me today, kiddo. Keep things moving and shaking (but gently since it is supposed to be a 'day of rest'). See you soon. :carrot:

AndrewsMum 01-28-2007 06:05 PM

have just done 15minutes on my air walker :carrot:
does anyone else use exercise equipment that isnt recommended for their weight, my airwalker was creaking a bit just now under the strain of all my weight its got a recommended weight limit of 100kg so has the stepper i've ordered. is that just a guideline weight or should i really not be using them?

meowee 01-28-2007 06:10 PM

I don't know . . . I'd be nervous . . . especially with the stepper because you could really damage a knee if that thing broke at the wrong moment . . . but I know I am a big wuzzie about stuff like that.

Why don't you post that question in the exercise equipemt forum . . . here's a link . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=213 . . . let us know what kind of answer you get from them.

Louie 01-28-2007 10:10 PM

Hi, Gals

Sorry that I have been MIA for the past few days... sometimes life just gets in the way of fun !! Hope everyone has had a great weekend and is looking forward to good things happening in the week ahead.

RRVMMM 01-29-2007 09:36 AM

Hey Linda glad to hear you are feeling better. Look at the bright side a hysterectomy will be removing a couple pounds.

Liza congrats on your loss for the week. Feels great don't it.

Well just wanted to drop in and say the scales are down to 219 so I guess thats what I am gonna move the ticker to. Its just so depressing, I have never had to move it up before. Oh well from now on it will only be moving down.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Will check back soon

GainingWeightInLa 01-29-2007 10:13 AM

Hey, losers! :) (Of course I mean that in the best possible way!!!!) Looks like the board has gone on without me! :( LOL Just kidding! Been very busy. Haven't had time to even sit down at this computer. And when I have, hubby's been over my shoulder. He doesn't know how much I way, so I don't post here when he's around. Don't get me wrong....I think this is the only part of my life he doesn't know about. I don't keep things from him...just this one little bit of info. He keeps asking me how much I have to weigh before I tell him how much I weigh. I told him when I lose 70 lbs I'll tell him. lol He won't know for a while!
Well, I really think I'll reach my 2.2 lb goal for the week. If not, I'll be very VERY close. I'm hovering at 2 lbs gone this week.....I don't have scales that weigh to the tenth of a lb, so am unsure. I may be there already.
Ya'll, I had a God intervention last night!!!! I must tell.....We went to Sonic (drive in fast food place, for those who've never heard of one). I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a large (yes, I said LARGE) order of onion rings. I'd not had many points, so I had them to spare for the day. My meal was going to be 16 points...my target is 28. I felt soooo guilty sitting there waiting for our food...I was really hungry, but while I wanted to eat it, I really didn't. They brought our food....my husband handed them a $100 bill. They said they couldn't take it and asked him to go get change and come back. He told them if they couldn't break it, he wasn't leaving and coming back...so wi didn't eat there!!! We left and went to Subway...where I had 10 points instead of 16!!! :) AFterwards, I told him I was glad we didn't eat there....although I do love their onion rings!!!! Had we eaten there, I am pretty sure I could've kissed my 2.2 lbs for the week goodbye....
Linda, I'm sooo glad you made it through your procedure okay. A friend of mine just had a hysterectomy about 4 months ago. It literally took her maybe 2 days to bounce back. She said in 3 days she was outside raking leaves....
Tina, PMS is the absolute worst....the only thing that gets me through it is that I know it's going to be good for a significant weight loss...usually a couple of pounds! Makes it worth it.....to me.
HOw many sizes has everyone gone down compared to how many pounds they've gone down? I'm at 10 lbs and my pants are getting looser.....hope to have to go get more in the next few weeks. I'm just curious how everyone else is "shrinking."
Gotta go clean my house from the weekend. We weren't home long enough to clean, only to mess it up! LOL :) Have a great Monday everyone!

Robsia 01-29-2007 10:41 AM

Nikel1979 01-29-2007 07:30 PM

I swear I didn't fall off the face of the earth. ;) Things have been crazy here. We got through the crazy weekend of buying a car and throwing a birthday party only to have every one of us sick all week. Ben was puking; Lauren has diarrhea, hubby has a double ear infection. Fortunately, I was only blessed with a mild head cold plus AF, so I could deal with all of them. I'm still struggling to keep up with classes this semester. Bonus for being sick though - I dropped 3 lbs last week. I'm trying to resist the urge to eat every bit of junk I can find right now though - I got some terrible news today. A good friend of mine, that's 41 weeks pregnant, lost her baby today. She's at the hospital now giving birth. I'm so sad for her and so worried too. Beyond the emotional stuff she's going through, she's got a heart condition and almost died when she had her first daughter. So if you could, send any and all good thoughts to her and her family.

LadyLai 01-30-2007 01:58 PM

Hey all! Wow, seems like we're a busy bunch! Sorry I again have been missing in action. I had a hugely busy weekend. Between helping my aunt and uncle, having my sister and her kit and kaboodle here and starting Alyssa in tap and ballet lessons. I've been hopping all over the place. I have an equally busy weekend coming up. I'm having a card making workshop on friday night and Alyssa has two birthday parties this weekend. To top it all off my husband decides that we maybe selling our house!! I have a realtor coming @ 3.30 to appraise ours. We've only been in this for 2years, we've customed built. Are we nuts?! LOL! Scales are being friendly again after last weeks disastorous moments I peaked 217 again and now today they're at 214.5. Oh Lord, lemme get to 212 and beyond this time!!

Well better go, gotta get our house presentable. I hope to get to personals soon!

TTFN!

GainingWeightInLa 01-30-2007 02:47 PM

Hi, all. Well, I think I'm spiraling into discouragement. :( HELP! I have about a week til TOM and I'm hungry, hungry, hungry! Today (6pm) is WW weigh in. I was hoping for 2.2. I'll consider myself lucky to have reached a loss of 0.5 lb. It's getting harder and harder...I know, I sound like a whiney baby, huh? I had a loss first week of 6.6, then 1. If I have a 0.5 lb loss, I'll have a weekly average of 2.7. That's really, really good, I know. And maybe it's just a plateau...maybe it's TOM....probably it's lack of exercise. I don't have a specific work out schedule. I know I need one. That's the only way it'll work is to get my fat butt up and do something. I'm goin to do that right now. I've got a little bit before I have to leave to go get my son and while daughter's asleep. I know that won't help my weigh in today, though. :(

Anyway, I'm going to go exercise now. Maybe that'll help me feel better.

BBL!
