Hi everyone,
Its raining again here. We have had over 10 inches since sunday. School was called off Tuesday and today because of washed out roads. I have little mustard and turnip greens coming up like crazy. Eating has been totally nuts sweets are the culprit.

Bob-Congrats Auntie Bob!!!

Monet-I'm still following SB. Just my eating sweets has gotten out of control. I'm starting over tomorrow and I need help with some menus not for me but for the girls. Have to pick up some lettece. I reread my SB book about everyother month..matter of fact I keep it on the back of my toilet...lol

Hi everyone hope you have a great evening!!!!

Hey everyone! Today in the mountains was fun. We did not get much new stuff thrown, but we did get a lot of stuff glazed and into the kiln, and turned it on. The temps were about 1100 when I left. It was kind of a rainy day, but the sun came out for a bit, just long enough for my older daughter to get in a ride on one of their horses. She and her friend left early and we worked until about 5, when I got cleaned up and headed home.

I get RLS too...awfully common isn't it? Mine was giving me fits last night...the weather maybe???

My neighbor called me today and asked me to send her a copy of my resume for the school she has her daughter at. They are looking for an art teacher. The program sounds lovely...much better than the school I was at last year. I hope they give me a call...it would be awesome to get a job teaching art there.

I need to go fix some stuff for Tom's lunch, so I better go. I will try and get back tonight, but if not, I will do replies in the morning!

Good morning! I slept fairly well, but I woke up all stiff and sore. I need to do a weight workout today, so I hope that will help. The scale is beginning to creep down again...yay! I love the lizard spit!

I am going to go eat some breakfast, and will check in after that. I am supposed to go teach the doctor's nurse to knit today, so I will be gone for a while, but I have tons to do around here.

I hope everyone has a terrific day!

Good morning ladies.

We ended up having a meeting after work last night so I was late getting home so we did not make it to the gym. Then DH wanted to go to Walmart so I couldn't do the Then it was time for Grey's Anatomy and I had to sit and watch. I felt guilty about missing, so I got up at 5:00 and went to the gym. My legs were bothering me so I thought I might as well get up and do something productive.

I have a new chicken enchillada recipe I will post. IT is really good.

Monet, glad you got some pottery completed and had a great time too. Keeping my fingers crossed for you on the job. My legs are nuts too and it is raining here. Maybe it is the weather.

Tech, Definately stay away from that man. Don't go out alone. It is a shame about the teacher, but I don't think you should have to redirect your son's interests to meet the level of the other kids. Sounds like to me,they need to move him up.

Heart, glad things are better for you.

Thunder, Wow, that's alot of rain. Jump back on the wagon and hang on.

Julia, I don't t hink Mammoth cave is a place you want to take a baby. Lots of walking, stairs, small places and cold.

Toni, great job ont he this week. I look forward to the weekends to when we get a break from the gym. I'm already complaining about this cold weather and it really isn't that cold yet. I won't make it through the winter.

Bob, good luck with the Tide this weekend. I don't think they will be a problem.

Gator, does Florida have a by this weekend? I didn't see them listed. The Cats do. Vandy plays SC, Vandy may just beat them the way they have been playing.

Better run, they need me. Have a great weekend.

Hey guys. I weighed and am down 3 from my previous ticker. Today for some reason I have been really hungry...stomach growling hungry. This morning I had a atkins morning bar and yogurt. One hour later my stomach was growling big time. So I ended up eating a SBD pizza. So I started the day off with too many calories. For lunch I went to Salad Factory(big salad bar)and was legal but I know I have had too much sodium today and I hope I don't retain fluid tomorrow. Gotta watch what I have for supper tonight. Not too much going on...board is slow. Well, if I don't check back in before Monday you all have a good weekend.

I ran a bunch of errands, and now I am home and relaxing until Tom gets home. Not sure what we will do tonight..I would love to talk him into going out since Ruth and Erik took James out, and Laura, Justin and the baby went out too...just the two of us left. He is probably thinking of a cozy night in, but that is not going to happen. Just as soon as we start feeling 'cozy' someone is going to come back home!

TECH: I have been thinking about your situation with Kyle, and I am appalled at that teacher's advice. If Kyle is not interested in Clifford, why 'encourage and guide him' towards them? Doesn't your school system have a gifted program? I mean, we do here in the deep south...and it is a good one. Kyle ought to be tested for it, and if he is qualified for it, have the opportunity to fly. Holding him back for the sake of the other children is assinine. If the teacher is not supportive, go up the food chain, and talk to the principal. If you are not sure about doing that, and to be honest, I would think about how the teacher will react, and you don't want reprecussions that will effect Kyle, get some good testing done BEFORE you go talk to the principal. I had my son tested by a private counselor when he was in first grade. He tested gifted. It did help some, but he was in a private school and the whole politics there (it was our church's school) were convoluted and hard to manage. After second grade, I took him out and homeschooled him for four years. He went back for seventh and eighth grades. Homeschooling is not that bad...and there are lots of resources and other homeschoolers. Research it, and see if there are organizations for homeschoolers in your area. You might find a lot of kids you don't know about who are disciplined, nice kids with the same mindset as your son on learning. You want to nurture that natural inclination to learn, not discourage it! Kyle may LOVE school, but then, my theory is kids LOVE chocolate cake...it doesn't mean it is the best thing for them. I don't envy you having to plot a course for him.

HEART: I am glad the scale is being kind to you. I hope you make it through the weekend with no problems. Remember that sugar hangover when you want to reach into the candy dish!

SOLLY: Good for you getting up at 5! I need to join a gym. I am so clueless about that though. Now I need to wait a while and see what happens with the art teaching job, and my pottery business. I hate to pay out money if it is going to be impossible to go. Tom won't go with me, cause he has a fitness center at work he can use for free...and spouses are NOT welcome.

THUNDER: I love that you keep your Sugarbusters book on the back of the toilet! I may do that...I need all the reminders and encouragement I can get! I think the new dose of Byetta is working better...that and no sulfonylureas...they cause weight gain.
I am glad Curtis is doing well with the Byetta and over the nausea.
Stay dry!

KENG: Thank you for your encouragement regarding my son. He is better today. He has two other cats from the same litter as the one who was killed. He got the three of them when they were very very tiny and hardly able to eat. Their mother was killed by a car and someone found them by the side of the road. He essentially raised them from tiny things. He gets SO attached to his pets too. When his hamster died when he was about 7 I thought his heart would break! I think it is good that he is willing to grieve. So many big guys like him would stuff the emotions, and never let on they were sad about it. I agree with Solly about Mammouth Cave..it is totally cool and all, but not an easy place to tote a baby.

TONI: The weather has cleared here, but is much cooler. I actually like it like this. I just miss the swimming pool. I think I will research how much it would cost to heat it! Then I could do my water aerobics all year round! I would just freeze into an icicle from the pool to the house! haha!

BOB: So, what is the football line up for the weekend? I wonder where Gator has gotten to? And Fruit... How is the knee? Mine is hurting worse today. I think it must be the colder temps...AND when I lose any weight, my joints KILL me for a few days. In fact, I can often tell if the scale is down by my joints first! Weird, huh?

I think I got everyone. If not, let me know... ought to do it!

[/b]MONET,

Only game I know is mine today....

Knee is about the same. I've decided to wait until we come back from CAHTY's to do my MRI...that way, I'll still have time to take if I need surgery!

Sorry, It's 3:30 pm. I'll be back!!! AFTER THE GAME!!

My son left yesterday for Iraq. So today I'm just feeling awfully blue. I just can't believe the kid that cried when he killed a chipmunk has gone to war.

TONI: My prayers are with you and your son. I am thankful for men like him, willing to serve their country. I know you are proud, even though it is surely something that robs your peace of mind.

BOB: Georgia played Miss. St. and won 27 to 24...whoopty do... Good luck to your Vols!

BOB: Way to go VOLS! I guess you are too hoarse and tired to post...

Tom and I headed out to our favorite Mexican place for dinner. I had a taco, a chili relleno and a cheese enchilada and beans. I am STUFFED. I only ate a few chips, but the hot salsa is giving me heartburn, thanks to the lizard spit...good. I need to suffer! haha!

Hey ya'll! We went to the football game last night and just about froze to death!! But we won 49-7! We are now 5 and 2 with three games laft, all of them away. We are chaperoning again this coming Friday night and the band director has approved Rachel to ride the bus with us.

I am holding steady with the weight. I wonder how long I will have to wait to see another loss!~

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hi Everybody. I'm Sassy and not new to 3fc, but new to this thread. I thought maybe I could join and learn more about Sugarbusters as I am a Type II Diabetic and in need of some help.

Thanks!
