WIW Morning
Good morning ladies. I feel so much better today. Thank you all for wishing me well. I slept like a log last night too.
Well, I'm down this WIW!!!:cb: I'm not sure how much from the last time, but the overall total since I started SB back mid. jan. is 23 pounds!!!!! I'm so excited!!! I have finally found something that works for me and is also very healthy for my whole family; now if I could only get my MIL and FIL to do this WOE also, FIL is overweight and has had heart problems, and I would love to see them get on this. Maybe when they see how great I'm doing on SB they'll start doing it also. :chin: Good luck to everyone out there on the "metal monster" today. Hope to see lots of losses!!! Gotta do some cleaning up around here. I don't understand why us mothers can't be sick just one day, and everything stay cleaned up some. Oh well, at least I'm able to do it today compared to yesterday. I'll be checking back in later on. Jenn |
Good morning
Good morning everyone.
I weighed myself this morning for a starting weight and it wasn't pretty. I am actually up a pound since last week but we did have a big weekend in NY. I just started SB this Monday so I will hang in there and see what happens next week. Chacha5 - I too am trying to get the hang of this program. I bought the book last night and hopefully it will shed some light on this WOE. I know I have to watch my sugar but I must have to do more than that! Have a great day! Jane |
good morning !
Just a quick hello. I am off to the doctor. Will be back by noon, so everybody have a great day and a good WIW. See ya later.
Love, LJunel |
TRISH: You have me laughing. You are a woman after my own heart! I rarely follow a recipe either! My mom was really bad about it. Once her cousin sent her a pea salad recipe she had asked for. At the top she had penned, "Ag, don't forget the peas!" Growing up, we rarely had the same thing twice! That was because Mom did not remember what she had thrown in the last time she made something!

the sugar menace
Hello !
I am just dropping by to see some words of wisdom and get my rapidly expanding - sugar imbued - behind back on track. Yes my lovely friends. Sugar is the devil. So are the french fries (nothing to do with the name, just the fact they are a glicemic disaster). A quick question though - how do you all feel about Beef Jerkey? Very high in protein, low in fat, sugar and carbs..? Also, any tasty protein drinks you know? I am pretty much stuck to my office until 7:30pm every day, which makes this WOE rather difficult. But not impossible and I am working on being more responsible!!! Alright. Enough with the self pity. I'll be back! Vesna:s: |
Monet - Ain't it the truth. My husband always cracks up everytime someone asks me for a recipe for a dish that I might have made and taken somewhere because he knows that there isn't one.
Vesna - Girl, where in the world have you been? I was thinking about the O-town escapade in January the other day and wishing I could see you guys again. That was such a terrific time. On the jerky issue, I personally like it, but some of them are pretty salty. Nothing like that ever so attractive bloating action going on. Has anyone tried making their own? |
WIW
Good morning. The scales were once again kind to me minus 2 more for 151...a new low for me. :) I haven't been eating enough but I'm gonna work on that this week. I can't walk twice a day and not put something back in.
Agape...praying all goes well at the doctors today. Trish and Monet...cooks after my own heart...:) measurements are the hardest thing for me when sharing a recipe. And because I like things spicy I almost always change up things a bit. Monet glad you are sleeping so much better. Sleep is soooo important for good health and they are finding links to weight loss also. Jack-K....those pounds will be off next week. Vesnoid...good to see you again. I personally like jerky...I get the peppered kind because there is less sugar in it. Jane.....it may not be pretty now but you have a starting point and will make it to goal. Sometimes the road seems long but it does end....not eating healthy but reaching for the goal. jecrites...23 pounds is GREAT! So glad you are feeling better. chacha5...wtg walking on that treadmill! Keep up the good work. Kim...hope your tummy feels better soon. Well it's about time to walk...and since I skipped last night I guess I'd better get off my duff and pull out the treadmill and set the tv to my "walking" show. :) Love, Crystle 235/151/140-135 |
WIW
The metal monster WAS a monster today. Had me up to 171! Can't figure it out. I've been eating the the most OP that I have for a long time AND I've been exercising.
Oh well. I'm just not going to worry what the numbers on the scale say. I know I feel so much better AND my jeans are fitting better. I keep forgetting to take my measurements so I can see how the tape measure is going down:^: I had company while I did my elliptical last night. DS (5 yrs old) got on the exercise bike and was peddling for almost a 1/2 hour!:D Now there's some motivation--I'm setting a good example for my son. Ok, gotta go. Just wanted to quickly check in. |
Good WIW!
Well my bathroom pound came back when I was able to keep foods in my system yesterday--not surprising. So I am officially down 11.5 lbs in four weeks!
There has been a lot of activity on the board in the last 24 hours. I'm off to a meeting in a few minutes so I don't have time to respond to everyone. Crystle--WooooHooo on the new low!!!!!! Vesnoid--Good to see you back on the board--listen I fell off the wagon pretty badly too last fall and an now relosing weight. Just focus on where you are now and try not to beat yourself up too badly about coulda-shouda-woulda! Monet--I think we might get BOB interested in a trip to spa Monet too! Glad to hear you are sleeping so well. Recipe? Recipe? I don't need no stinkin recipe!!! Wish I had time to chat with everyone--will try later this afternoon or evening. I hope everyone has a good WIW! Susan 300/262/150 |
Good Morning all
Well the scale was kind to me to-day. I weighed in at 198 pounds which is the lowest I have been for a WIW. Most weeks I can be down a pound or two during the week but always up again for WIW. I had a good eating day yesterday. I only had starchy carbs (oatmeal) for breakfast, the rest of the day protein and veggies. I didn't even have any snacks all day. I had salmon and veggies for lunch. For dinner I cooked some hamburger meat with onions, red peppers and black beans and spices. Had this on top of some romaine lettuce with a little caesar dressing, cheese, homemade salsa, and coleslaw. It was yummy and filling. May have leftovers for lunch to-day. Melf - Sorry to hear you have been having some problems but it is good to see you back again. I had been wondering what had happened to you. Deb - No, I won't be wearing a Stetson nor cowboy boots. ;) The line dancing I will be doing is not country and western. They have that too so maybe I will try that next time. Kim - Sorry to hear you are still feeling a bit under the weather. Those allergies can really make you feel yucky. Thanks for the encouragement. I was feeling a bit down yesterday but in a better mood to-day. Good for you staying the same. Maintaining is certainly better than a gain. Monet - Good going getting rid of two of those extra pounds. It's amazing what a good nights sleep can do for the morale. Glad you remembered to fix that dinner.;) Cha-Cha - Glad to see you have gotten through one week of sb and you are doing really well with the exercise too. I'm sure the scale will be good to you if you keep it up. This is such a healthy way of eating. Jack-K Sorry that the scale wasn't too kind to you this morning. I am sure it is only temporary. Trish - Congrats on your loss this week. Jecrites - That's a great loss you have had since january. 23 pounds is awesome. It would be great if you could get your mil and fil involved in this woe. Maybe when they see the results you have had it will encourage them to start this woe. Jane - Don't worry about that one pound gain since last week. Just count to-day's weight as your starting weight on sb and go from there. After all you only started a few days ago. I am sure in a week or two you will see a loss. Vesnoid - Good to see you back. Sorry I can't help you with the beef jerky. CountryMom - Congrats on your new low. Zanne - Don't worry about what the scale says. If you are feeling better and the pants are fitting better the gain can't be from fat. Maybe you are getting some more muscle with all the exercise you have been doing. I think that is great that ds is copying Mommy on the exercise machine. :cp: Have a good sb day everyone. I'm heading off to Walmart to order some photos from my Florida trip in December. My ds took most of the photos on his digital camera and we are still waiting to get copies. I've already selected a bunch of pictures for my dil so see if I can figure out how to upload them in the computer at Walmart. If I wait for my ds I will wait forever. :(. Marie. |
MONET,
That's right...I told Susan that after our SEASON is over..and the WINTER ROAD RATS go back home....I"M GAME!!! I think I could even get my cousin to come over from Greenville...if that's ok... I'll bring my best THONG!!!! TRISH.....LONGHORN GALS???? I DON'T THINK SO.....LADY VOLS RULE!!!!!! BOB |
Bob - Check your medication again, girlfriend. The Horns have beaten your Lady Vols the last 2 times they've played. Hmmmmm.
Of course, we have to get past UConn first. Trish |
Good afternoon,
Getting ready to head out. It is almost 77 degrees here so can't wait to get home and walk and enjoy the sunshine. Trish, so glad you are moving in the right direction and are back on track. Yes this is like an AA meeting. Food is an addiction. Jecrites, so glad you are feeling better. WTG on the 23 pounds. Jane, I bet next week you will see a nice loss. Read the book and ask any questions. Agape, Good luck at the Dr. Hope you get a good report. Vesnoid, Welcome back. My suggestion for you would be to eat your big meal at lunch and maybe a salad or sandwich when you get home at 7:30. Beef Jerky should be ok, it may have a lot of fat in them. I only like the slim jim ones.Glad to see you back with ys. Country, OK I'm really mad. You have blown right on past me. Heck I'm headed the other way. I'm so excited taht you have hit a new low. So proud oof you. Heck I bet you have worn the motor out of that TM by now. Zanne you are right not to pay attention to that scale. How cute that your DS is exercisng with you. WTG setting a good example. Susan, that sneaky pound. IF you saw that number once, you will see it again soon. 11.5 is still awesome in 3 weeks. Rosalie, Yeah for you on your new low. So glad it hung in there for WIW. Makes your spirits sore doesn't it. Bob, I think you and Trish might have a fued going on here. Have a great evening everyone Jackie |
Be on the alert!!! Even though this lady is residing in MY house, she

Boy, this morning was certainly a reality check for me :( Up 2 lbs this morning! Although doing much better in the past 3 days about eating legal foods, I've obviously been eating way too many of them. So far today I've only had 4 triscuts, certainly going to try to get the starchy carbs down for a couple days.
I'll check in soon, hope to be able to catch up with everybody later. |
