MONET,

I'm so glad for TOM....does he have to drive far to work? Will they let him come barefoot? Give him a hug from me...I knew he could bag something. He's good at what he does and that goes a long way!

BOB: It is actually much closer than his last job, so the commute is much better. It is over near the mall, off I85. It is a jeans and tshirt office, but he said all the people he saw while there were in bondage to footgear dependence. I think he will have to wear shoes.

Today is my weigh in day and I am thrilled to report that I am down 4 lbs this week after being stuck for two weeks! Either I finally broke a small plateau, or being sick has its advantages!!

Happy Sunday..

I am taking a rest day from the gym..Im hanging out in my jammies and reading. its wonderful. HA Plus the weather is yet again sucky and blah. Is it spring yet? I will work out today though, I have a birthday party to teach at 2. Fun times

Thin-Awesome with the 4 pound drop. Your earned it. Its always good to see a decent drop after a plateau.

Michele-Ha your funny, I have a lot of energy for the most part because I never stop. When I do..forget it. Plus im only 25, not married and no real kids. I hear that sucks the life right outa a person. LOL I kinda want to get a jump on loosing weight now while it's "easier" although its not easy one bit. My sister who is 20 years older than me tells me I have it so much easier..yet I still am not losing. Go figure.
Beth-Congrats on the weight loss..YAY Moving right along!

Slow-Haha again with the energy. Im happy to give you some..although some days i don't have it myself. Im naturally high strung, it drives people crazy!! hehe. Im sorry to hear about the dentist. That sucks--Those things cost a fortune, and to find out it was for nothing. How aggravating. Good luck..teeth issue suck.

ray-WOW 5 pounds that's awesome...rock on.

I CAVED yesterday...went to PUBLIX...the GIRL SCOUTS were out front selling their cookies....I never carry money, but happened to have a $5 spot in my purse. I held it up and asked..."what will this buy?" The Leader said 1 box and changes of course...I took a box of THIN MINTS and told them to KEEP THE CHANGE so I feel that I've done my good deed for the day....BUT....I confess.....I ate some of those YUMMY COOKIES when I got home....

ATTN all you UNCLE SAM'S eaters....DO NOT GO TO THE HEALTH FOOD STORE TO BUY!!! They will charge you double the price. I have been eating this wonderful cereal for years and lucky for me, PUBLIX sells it for a little over $2....WALMART has it really cheap if you have one near you.

MONET....Tell TOM he can ALWAYS remove said "shoes" under his desk and wiggle his toes while he works! Now, is this a contract job like before?

I'm off to do the weekly shopping...KATE wants CHICKEN n DUMPLINS!!!! Not good for BOB, but I can have the stewed chicken....also think I'll whip up some fresh KALE...

I bought a WOLFGANG PUCK panninni maker from HSN the other day and this is undoubtedly the best kitchen tool ever!!! I also have his rice cooker and it's a multi tasker too. ANYONE else have either of these at home? If so, what do you cook in yours!

Later

BOB

Hi Everyone~

I'm back and this time for good!!!! I need to do Sugar Busters....I tried weight watchers again, but all of the food are trigger foods and a 100 calorie snack turns into the whole box, etc. I have been doing some reading and I just ordered agave and a cookbook that goes along with it. I feel really good that Dr.Oz recommended it. I did sugar busters in 2001 and felt wonderful, it's time to begin the detox and feel better. I hate the addiction, I am thinking of going to OA in addition to following the Sugar Busters plan. I am committed to this...I have no other choice. I have severe diabetes and I am not taking care of my-self!!!!!!!! I look forward to chatting with you all!!!

MOM: Another diabetic! There are a number of us...and Sugarbusters is good for controlling the bg! Jump on in... I use agave and love it. I get it from Amazon and it is pretty inexpensive there. What is the book you got on using it? You will have to let me know if it is good. I saw one and almost bought it, but was in save mode since my husband was out of work. He starts a new job tomorrow morning, so I am more willing to buy stuff now!

BOB: This is a permanent job, so he will have some paid time off...as a contractor he did not get that! And yes, he does take his shoes off under his desk!

Hello everyone - I have returned from the land of wonderful grandkids! Oh what fun it was for them to be here. I enjoyed every second of it. The house is so quiet now, hard to believe they were even here. Of course all we have done since Thursday night has been eat. Thursday night was buffett, Friday lunch was buffett, Friday night was buffett, Saturday night was IHOP.
However, I am extremely pleased to report I did not put anything on any of my plates that I was not supposed to! I guess the main reason is because it seemed like we were always eating and I just would not be hungry. I did not desserts at all on any eat outs and no breads either, except at IHOP and I had a side order of WW toast. I am looking forward to getting on the scales in the morning.

I did go to sprawl mart after they left and tried on a pair of size 18 jeans. They were the stretch kind, but didn't stretch enough. So not down to size 18 yet, didn't think I would be, but just wanted to see how close I am.

Well I haven't caught up on any other posts yet but I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

NOTE: if I had known grandkids were so much fun-I would have had them first! ha ha

Sparkle- that's awesome. Good for you. I can't eat out much because its too tempting Awesome job not having desert. And yay grandkids. I hear ya though--I love nannying for my munchkins..but I love 7 pm when I get to go home and sleep. HAHA

Mom-Hey Im pretty close to you..Im in mass. Welcome. I hear ya about ww. I am back to counting points because its easier to track what i eat..but i only have sb foods. I have so many more points left than i ever did. Those 100 calorie packs were a killer for me. There is nothing healthy about them.

I had a decent day..I only had one birthday party so it was about 20 min of exercise. Not to bad. The menu-(today was not a very hunry day for me..this almost never happens I was happy)

Brunch-3/4 c egg whites, stir fry peppers, and 1 oz 75% cheese. 1 low carb ww wrap to make a breakfast burrito.

S-1c Cottage cheese, 1 c applesauce, cinnamon
S-1 slice low gi bread 1/2 teas PB and J
D-4 1/2 ox Chix w/tomato's, 1c peas, 11/2 c broc, 1 sweet pot.

I know it was probally to much starch but i needed to add pts to my dinner..and aside from 7 ox of chix the pot and peas added 4. I hope this will help. if not next week i go back to eating less and waiting it out.
s-sf coco w/splenda made with water..1/2 c coffee and 1/4 c milk to taste

Momoftwinboys --- I understand completely. Sugar and starches often
stir up terrible cravings for me also. The only way to deal with it is not
to eat them at all. The starches I do eat I try to make sure are whole grain
and have lots of fiber. This slows down the absorption into the body and
helps prevent cravings. I am having success using the WW points system
and eating Sugar Busters legal food. It is coming off very, very slowly but
I am losing. My age (61) may have something to do with how slow I am
losing. I feel it is better to lose a half pound a week than to not lose at
all or even worse gain. Good luck, you can do this!!!!

Morning ladies,

Just a quickie, I have to get ready for a luncheon meeting and then I have a Dr appt this afternoon so I won't do replies until tomorrow.

Except, Monet, apparently Tom has found a job. Great. I know that is a load off your mind.

Have a great day, see you tomorrow.
