Good afternoon ladies.

Hope today is better for everyone. I was puny yesterday, just no energy. Could only get in 35 minutes of cardio last night. I crawled up on the couch with a fire early last night. That is not like me.

Toni, hope those repair prices are in reason. Work like that can be so expensive. We are getting new hardwood floors in the rest of our downstairs and it is so expensive, so my DH and a friend are going to do it.

Country, I am so jealous. That's what Grandma's are for. Have fun with her.

Bob, hope today looks a little brighter. Hang in there.

Heart, If we could get rid of the weekends, we would be so skinny. Hang in there, you can do it. I felt puny yesterday too. I crawled up on the couch with Dh early and stayed there. Felt better today. Hope you do to.

Monet, hope you had a good day in the mountains.

Have a great evening.

Goodness, so sorry to hear of your lay-off, BOB!! Hope un-employment will kick in soon. Monet, hope things get better at your house too! Heart, sometimes we need to make finacial adjustments & it's not always easy. We've been making adjustments here since September with only one income now instead of 2. Dh keeps telling me we'll be fine & I hope so because I just can't see myself going back to work.

Saw the doctor yesterday & he says the hip pain is Bursitis. He injected it & I had a miserable night. No position of comfort, burned all the way down my leg all night. Besides the hip pain, doctor thinks I need PT for the back so I have a PT appt Thurs afternoon so they can start me on a program at home.

Today hasn't been any better. Had to sit allot cause I went with DD to her ENT appt at charity hospital. So I'm still in allot of pain. DD had her other tyroid removed in Nov. First side was Papillary Carcinoma & the left side now had 2 nodules the size of the first one, so they removed it but Praise God this side was not cancerous. Now her levels are really off, they said it looks like she's not taking hormones at all but she takes then everyday. Anyway, they will do a scan in 2 weeks & if everything comes out clear they will double her dose. Meanwhile it means 2 weeks without medication. She's already stressing & her B/P is high. It will be a rough 2 weeks for her.

While we sat there all morning there was a booklet on Low-Carb diets which by the way NEVER once mentioned SugarBusters! the best of them all...anyway, I sat & read the whole thing & was ready to get home & start over. By the time we got out of there...9am-1pm, I was soooo hungry that I blew it! Ate some chicken strips at Cane's. OK, so I'll try to do better tonight.

Oh, BTW, I chatted with SEF last night & encouraged her to get back on the board with us so I'm hoping we'll see her soon!

Hey everyone! I am back. It was a fun, productive day. I got a good bit of stuff done, but not many pots. I packed up my wheel, tools and bats and brought them home with me tonight. I am hoping to get my kiln hooked up and work at home here. Things are just so busy for both of us, we figured this would work better. I will probably not get the chance to go back up there for three or four weeks. I felt very sad about that coming home tonight.

I have a wedding cake for Friday night, so tomorrow I need to start working on it. I have lots to do! Thankfully, it is not a very large cake.

I will check in tomorrow morning!

Morning, I feel like do-do today. This cold is kicking my butt. I take 2-3 vitamin C a day, so I can only imagine how I would feel if I didn't do that. Probably be at the doc's getting a shot. I got up early this morning and got my workout done for the day. That's probably as productive as I'll get for the day. I decided to weigh today and am between 165-166, got both #'s several times. Alright, it's getting close to opening time...check back later.

Good Morning

BOB - I'm so sorry to hear about your job situation. I hope you at least will get unemployment and will be able to find a new position soon.

I didn't walk yesterday morning as I was so tired after the long day I had Monday but I did go bowling and in the evening played badminton. We got back from Niagara at 7.30 then I was off to play darts and didn't get home until about 10.30. I didn't win anything at the casino, then I didn't lose much either. I'm really cheap when it comes to putting money in those machines. I stuffed myself of course at the buffet including desserts. But that was lunchtime and I didn't eat anything else until I got home then had some left over turkey and about 1/4 cup of rice. Yesterday my eating was good and this morning I was back to my posted weight.

Country - That's a beautiful baby girl you have. She looks adorable.

Melf - I hope you can get some relief from your pain. Maybe the cortisone shot will take a day or two to be effective. . Would be nice to see Sef posting again. I always enjoyed reading her posts and often wonder how she is doing.

Solly - Hope you are feeling better to-day.

Toni - Hope you can get a good deal to have your mobile fixed up.

Monet - Glad you enjoyed your day up north.

Have to go and do a bit of grocery shopping so better go jump in the shower.

Default Good Morning

((Everybody)) I'm still yawning but I'm up.. My hubby's mom called this morning because her well quit working. Robert's daddy is very sick so Bill can't fix it. Only one of the kiddos is up so I'm enjoying some quiet time.

This week I'm working on tuning out my internal dialogue or at least changing what it says to me. I'm seriously thinking of putting the scales back for a week or two. Last night I did my second workout for the week. I'm shooting for 3 times a week, 4 if I can squeeze another one in. If we ever dry out I can start walking again. This winter is SO wet. We are getting rain about every other day.

Welcome back Monet. I'd love to see some pictures of your work sometime. I think it is totally neat that you can do so many creative things.

Solly...I sure hope you are feeling better this morning.

Rosalie..Thank you. Lilly has me wrapped.

HeartMom...Sorry you are feeling under the weather.

Melf...ouch. That sounds so painful. I hope the doctors can find a way to ease your pain.

We got a new puppy earlier in the month. Her name is Izzy. She is a Doxie-Shon. She has already mastered the doggie door, now to master pottying outside. She has such a sweet spirit.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good morning ladies,

Have a quick minute and thought I would check in.

Nothing exciting going on with me.

Country, what a darling puppy. How big will he get? I didn't realize you all were getting so much rain. Our trip to San Antonion has been cancelled, but if it is raining that much, I may be glad.

Monet, it will be great for you to be able to work at home. Maybe you could start selling your stuff.

Rosalie, 2 types of exercise is still great. Buffets are so hard to handle. Glad you are back on track.

Heart, hope your cold gets better soon. It is hard to workout when you feel so icky.

Melf, hope that shot has kicked in today. I get injections quite often and that burning pain shoots down my leg when they put it in, but that is about the only time it burns. I tried PT for my back, but didn't like it and didn't do much for me. It would be great if Sef would post again. We have some other MIA's too.

Better get busy, I re-arrange my office with some different file cabinets and a table, and I have "stuff" everywhere. Spring cleaning time.

Hey ya'll! It's looking like tonight will be interesting weather wise. They're calling for us to get anywhere from 1/4 inch of ice to 2 inches of snow or other "wintry mix" Who knows! I just hope my power stays on, but if not we have a fireplace and wood, so we'll make it!!

We got to meet the new principal for the new school this morning and she seems very nice. She was asking me if I was ready to move from a small cozy office to a much higher paced one. It looks like the school will be opening with around 900 kids compared to the 250 I have now. I told her I am working on getting my mind in the right place for that! I have worked in both hospitals and nursing homes, so I know what busy is! I'm sure it will take some getting used to, but at 2:15 the kids will either go home or to the after school programs we have in all our schools, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel each day!!

Hi everyone; We're expecting snow and its already been spitting out some. DH got our old 4 wheel drive ready, lots of wood brought in and us all prepared. So guess we're as ready as can be. Eating has been so so. Not as good as I would like. CountryMom I love your puppy. Have to run. Good evening to you all....

No precipitation here ...yet. I am not that far from Thin, so we are expecting ice, snow or both. It is pretty cold.

Tom and I both are fighting colds. The baby has it pretty bad and is feeling miserable. He just woke up crying. They are trying to clear his nose with a nasal syringe and he hates it. Can't say that I blame him...

Dinner tonight was chicken and broccoli stir fry and brown basmati rice. It turned out pretty good. I just finished a cup of sleepy time tea with some agave, and will toddle off to beddie bye soon.

Good night everyone! Sweet dreams!

Good Morning

We awoke to about 1/2" of snow. Luckily the roads were fine other than our subdivision. Expectng some more tonight and tomorrow night.

Monet, that's the problem with a cold, one person has it and everyone else gets it. Poor baby, I feel for him. I know they hate those syringes, but I used to love to use them.

Toni, guess we got what you all got. Glad you are all warm an toasty.

Thin, did you all get snow too? The school will be a big change for you. Glad you like the principal. That is the first step.

Got in 45 minutes of cardio last night. I love going the nights I do wts, but I dread the cardio nights. The time goes so slowly. Tonight is wts, so I will be ready to go.

Got to do some work. Have a great day.

Everyone stay warm. Our weather is warming up to rain...supposed to rain on PEYTON for the BIG GAME on SUNDAY...and NO....there is no top on the field there in Miami...at least it won't be cold though.

I'll be back a talk to everyone in a bit...

Wet & cold here again. We might as well have webbed feet here to wade around in this mud & water. lol

Why is it that the scale wants to be the highest after you've had a really good day of eating??!! GRRRR I did really well yesterday but I guess the days before are adding up. That scale goes up up up! Haven't had anything except coffee & 1/2 c of Hood's Carb Countdown Chocolate milk. I love that stuff! Not sure what lunch will be yet.

Hey friends!

Well, I'm getting sick. I knew it would only be a matter of time before I did - so many kids at school are sick right now. Also, Alexis came home from daycare today with fever 101.8. So, fun fun! What can you take for sore throat, etc. if you are pregnant?

BOB: OH MY GAWD! I'm so sorry about the lay-off! That sucks....if I could drink right now - I'd have one for you! It will have to wait until mid-August!

I got released from the specialist Monday - I'm officially 12 weeks now...can you believe that? I still can't!

I'll be back tomorrow! See you then!

Love ya

Hey everyone! I have been baking all day. I got the cakes done, and while they were in the oven, I sat at the dining room table and played with my porcelain clay. I made salt and pepper shakers...fish and frogs...and a vase. I LOVE the frogs. I just laugh when I look at them. They are probably not terribly functional, but they sure are cute. I can't wait to get set up to work here. I have one friend who offered to come help move stuff around, and another who offered to pay for the electrician. I am excited!

Tom has been working on his resume today, and tomorrow he has an appointment with the consultant. One of his friends from work called him tonight and they are chatting. He is getting over his cold, so that is good.

Dinner tonight was steak, spinach salad, and a small baked potato. I used some olive oil my sister sent me that has lemon infused in it. Oh my, it is awesome! I can't wait to try it with other dressings.

FRUIT: Oh, that is wonderful that you have been released from the specialist! For a sore throat, you can use hot tea and some agave. Gargling with salt water helps some too. (1 t in a cup of warm water) Make sure you are getting plenty of vitamin C, so eat oranges, and grapefruits. I am sure you are taking a good multi vitamin, right? My kids love to make hot Tang when they are sick- especially with a sore throat, but it is loaded with sugar. Hot water with lemon juice and agave might do the trick. I hope you feel better soon...and Alexis too...

MELF: I wish I understood the scale...mine seems to go down when I expect it to go up, and up when I expect it to go down! Makes no sense to me! Stay dry and warm!

BOB: It is good to take a few days to deal with the shock..that is what the consultant told Tom. Tomorrow it will be two weeks and he is gearing up now for the search. Check around town and see if there are any networking groups that you can join. They are very helpful, and members help each other with resumes, and advise. My friend who is an HR director highly recommends them.

SOLLY: I used to love to use the nasal syringes too. I feel so sorry for the baby when he starts to cough. His cough is pretty bad, and when they called the doctor's office today, they told them they do not recommend anything for babies as young as him. They have infant dimetapp, but will only use it if he gets really bad. Justin works in a pharmacy, and he brought this cold home and shared it with the rest of us. 1/2 an inch of snow isn't too bad! Up in Clarkesville, where I go each week, they had five inches! I am so glad I went on Tuesday this week!
