Default Good afternoon

I appreciate all the notes of encouragement. ((Melf)) I'm so sorry that you are going through this too. I wish I could never look in a mirror and never step on another scale. But I know we are not our weight.

Monet...congratulations on your loss this week!!!!!

Solly...how neat getting snow. I haven't seen snow since I was a little girl. We did have a little ice last week. The first in ten years..LOL

Rosalie...hang in there. The scales will start moving.

Tech..I just love that picture.

((Toni)) You are awesome and the best part is you keep trying. You encourage me to keep trying. I just told my sister last night how easy it would be to eat everything in the house because of my mood.

Bob...I hope you find your lens.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Country: Don't let the scale get you down. I find that looking at pictures or putting on pants I wore when I was at my hugest makes me remember where I started and be grateful that I'm where I'm at and remind myself not to despair over having the last part of the weightloss be so hard to get off. You need to ask yourself how you FEEL, not how you look. Do you feel fluffy or overweight? Do you feel less-so than you did when you first started to lose weight? And, you know, maybe you're just at a weight that you're supposed to be at. I look at your picture and I think you look GREAT and think that if you lost any weight, you might start to look like you've lost too much. Being a tiny bit heavy is healthy...and you are squishier for your kids to give you hugs with and that is more important than a number on a scale.

Bob: Glad you're feeling better. Hope Kate follows suit soon!!

Rosalie: You are a great gramma! Have fun with the kids!!

Solly: You don't have it listed anymore...aren't you in Florida? Snow? Wow!! We have about a foot on the ground. I love it.

Monet: Fingers crossed for Tom!! And you!!

Well, I have to say...Kyle's been doing GREAT in school lately. Did I mention they split his class in half? Kyle got the new teacher and she is SO nice. She has four kids of her own, the youngest is 2...so that tells me she's a much more nurturing and nicer than the gestapo he had before. Anyhow...they had show and tell today and he brought in a magic trick to show the class with some cups and some puffy balls and brought his magic cape and wand. He did so well with the trick, the teacher had him go to the old class and show them, as well. He was so proud of himself. It was so cute.

Anyhow...have to go cook up some grub. Back atcha later!!

Good evening all. DH just left for work. He should be home around midnight. I've been waiting up for him and we're staying up to late after he gets home so I'm tired the next day and don't want to do anything. I've got to quit that. We didn't eat till 4 so I just made dinner. We had beef tips and brown rice. Shame I didn't make a vegetable. I've got a nice head of cauliflower I need to use up. We just found out my step daughter is going to have a girl in March. Thats so exciteing. That will make 4 grandchildren and they are boys.

Bob- I hope you find your lens. Its got to be nearby. Hope you and Kate get well soon.

Tech- Glad your son got a good teacher. That sure makes all the difference.

Solly- Good going on the exercise! Wish I would.

CountryMom- We can do this. Just one day at a time.

Rosalie- Good going on the eating and exercise. Your meals sound so good and healthy.

Monet- I hope Tom's meeting went okay.

Well time to run.

Checking in. I had a young couple from church over tonight for dinner and made Chinese. They are getting married in April and want me to do the reception for them. I am not going to make much money on it, but I just love the bride, so I will do it.

Tom is going to north Georgia with me tomorrow, which will be fun. I am SO looking forward to working! I have a ton of things to get done! I am keeping my fingers crossed I don't have any more trouble with kiln explosions, and the like!

Talk to you all Friday! Behave, now! Hear?

AAAWE..Beautiful Sunshine this morning! What a rare sight around here these last few weeks. Makes me feel a little less gloomy.

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words earlier this week. I'm trying harder to stay on track. I get so short of breathe with the extra weight I'm carrying around & I have bad indigestion & chest pains when I eat something I shouldn't that it is definitely to my benefit to do this right. I was awake till past 1am last night with my stomach. Sometimes I wonder if it's not heart spasms instead of stomach but the gas makes me think it's stomach. Really, I did well yesterday with eating but something last night stayed on my stomach really bad.

Anyway, have a great day everyone...hope you have sunshine too!

Hey, all. I'm hanging in there. I got some sinus/cold thing that is making me feel down. Day #3 of this mess. My weight is still way up. Somewhere around 170. Which is kinda depressing since I was down around 162 and in my Duckhead size 10. Now I'm about to pop out of my 12's. But I'll get it back down and I hope this will be the time it stays down. I do get upset with myself, but I remind myself of how far I have come. I don't even resemble the person I was. So that keeps me going. I've been trying to do my workouts, but I don't have the stamina I had before. Maybe because I'm under the weather or the extra few pounds? Last night after work I made myself do a workout then I got up this morning and did a 30 minute workout. I might do the 1 mile tape this evening for a little boost. I just don't workout good in the evening because I'm tired and my legs hurt. Well, I need to get back to work....

Oh yea, I'll post a menu:
Post-workout: some strawberries and 4 oz lite yogurt
BF: 2 boiled eggs, 1 sl ham, and 1 sl 2% cheese(had to grab something on the go- early meeting)
Snack- will be some almonds
Lunch- boiled chicken and green beans with almond slivers(Green Giant)
Supper- Spaghetti(no noodles) and salad

Just popping in too.

We had a guy leave so I got to clean out his office. He has been here about 20 years so it was a mess. Plus we had a big computer problem. So today has been nuts.

Only one reply, Tech, I live in Ky.

Hope to be back in the morning. Have a great evening.

Not much going on here. Mailed a box to my DS in Iraq today. He loves to get a box. I try to send one a month. I've only had oatmeal and sour dough toast today. I need to eat something else. I need some fruit in the house. It was a nice sunny day here. I love that. The guy comes Sat. night to talk to us about having work done on our mobile. I'm so excited. Hope he'll do the job. Well I know I'm boring.... LOL

Melf- It sounds like you have acid reflux. Thats so hard on a person.

Monet- Bet you're having a good time today.

Heartmom- Hang in there gal.

CountryMom- Enjoy that Grandbaby. I'm getting a new one in March.

Solly- I hope you didn't work to hard. Sounds like you're busy....

Hey Friends!

Well….so me getting on the computer and the board more often doesn’t seem to be happening! I think I made a HUGE boo boo! Alexis now doesn’t want to go to bed by herself so I’ve started going into her room and laying on the big bed while she lies on side of me or in her bed. I’ve screwed myself to put it nicely! Now, all of my “me time” is spent in her room waiting for her to go to sleep. The funny part is that I usually fall asleep before her! Terry has had to turn the baby monitor off in the other room because all he can hear is me snoring!! HAHA! So, after she falls asleep I’m too tired to get on the computer so I go straight to bed. UGH!

As for the pregnancy, things are still ok I think! I go back to the doctor Monday in New Orleans. My infertility specialist is there. He said that if everything looks good with this next visit – I won’t have to go back to him. Hopefully we don’t need to make anymore trips there – I have to miss an entire day of work when I go to the city. I don’t have many sick days left and I need to carry some over to next year being that I’m going to be on maternity leave!! I’ve been battling a horrible yeast infection from my progesterone suppositories. Just shoot me! I get meds to get rid of it and it just comes back because of the suppositories. Hopefully I’ll only have another week or so on those. I’ve been miserable! I told my regular OB that he needed to get me something and fast because I was about to scratch my HOOHA off! HA!

One thing I’ve been kind of sad about is that I don’t think I’ll be able to ride in the Mardi Gras parade this year. I know that I shouldn’t – put it that way! I know it’s just one year off but it is just so much fun!! HA! It will all be worth it though once I have this little one!

OH – BIG SCOOP! I found out last week that Lexie’s bio mother is pregnant again with TWINS. I think she just officially sealed the adoption in the bag for us. The judge will not be happy with her – he told her 2 times that she needed her tubes tied!! This will make kids #4 & 5. She doesn’t have custody of her other 2 kids either…..poor kids! I think she is due in August – like me.

I have begun my American Idol watching! I love that show!!

Well….let me catch up on some posts.

ROSALIE: Sounds like you are doing a great job with eating and exercising. You must be feeling so much better! I love to bowl – I stink at it – but I love it!

MONET: I’m so sorry about Tom’s job. I hope he finds something soon! WTG on the 2 pound loss!!

BOB: Glad to hear you are feeling better. A lot of the kids at school have been dropping like flies with the flu or virus! I’ve been trying my best to steer clear of the germs!

TONI: We would be so excited to get snow here! I’ve only seen snow 3 times! The best was 2 years ago – it snowed on Christmas Day – what a treat! I’m sure your son loves those packages. I pray for his safety. The death of Terry’s cousin Jay in December has torn the family apart! He was so young but he died doing what he was born to do….and he loved it!

SOLLY: Glad to hear your doctor appointment went well. Don’t you hate it when you have a doctor you just don’t love. Fortunately, I like my new specialist – I was worried when I found out that my other one moved to Tennessee. Thanks for giving me a shout out – I must have heard you!

HEART: I hear you on the emotional eating! I’m the poster child for emotional eating!! HA!

TECH: That picture is PRECIOUS!!! He is too cute! I had to laugh at the Gestapo comment – I’m sure some of my parents think of me that way! HAHA! I’m such a meanie some days!

COUNTRY: You are certainly not a failure. I’m the poster child for that too!! HAHA! Everyone goes through slumps…you are just in a rut and we’ll be here to help you out of it!!

MELF: I’m sending hugs your way….the poor puppies! I’m so sorry! Hasn’t the weather been just dreary and horrible? It was so nice to see the sun today! The kids at school have been having cabin fever so bad! It was good for them to get outside!

Well, until I get another chance to return…..I’m off!! Love you ladies! Take care!

Missy

Good Morning All

I was up bright and early this morning and was out for my walk at 6.30. I was lagging a bit this morning and didn't think I would be able to do my usual four laps but I pushed myself and got them done. I'll be off to bowling soon. The scale is still staying the same - it just doesn't want to move. I know I am eating too much so I have to curb my portions and cut down on some of the starchy carbs. I started using Fit-day again yesterday. Maybe that will help me to keep things under control. I haven't used it for a couple of years so was pleased that all my info was still there. I want to try and keep my intake to about 17-1800 calories. Yesterday was closer to 2000..

BOB - Did you find your lens yet. Hope Kate is feeling better.

Heartmom - Don't be too hard on yourself. You have come a long way and the last pounds are always the hardest to lose. Do you think you are eating enough when you are op? Looking at your menu for yesterday it looks like too few calories if that is all you ate all day. Maybe if you upped your calories so you were more satisfied/satiated you would be less likely to blow it as often. JMHO. Hope your cold is better to-day. I am sure that would effect the lack of stamina for your exercises - also those extra pounds will also make a difference. I know when I am down a few pounds I have much more energy. .

Tech - That's great that Kyle is in a smaller class and has a nicer teacher. I'm sure that makes both of you happier.

Toni - That's great news that you are going to me a Grandma again and are expecting a baby girl. I have 6 grandkids and only one is a girl.

Monet - Hope you enjoyed your trip to north Georgia. So there is one positive thing about Tom being home - he could accompany you on your trip..

Melf - Hope you are feeling better to-day..

Solly and Fruitloupe .

I have to get ready to go out - I am running out of time. Will be back later.

Morning. Going to be a long Friday. Not off to a good start. I had the drivethru tube come back with an ink pen that had exploded and it got all over my hands and tube. But it washed off. I gotta work 8-6:45 so that stinks. But on the good side, I feel better today and my weight isn't as bad as I thought, it's 168, still up but not as much as I thought. I slept in this morning and didn't exercise but I plan on doing a good workout for Saturday and Sunday. Man, I've been trying to write this for an hour now...About my calories, I ended up changing my menu yesterday and upped the calories. I had another yogurt and I had a bowl of sf ice cream last night, so I probably added 300 calories to what I had. When I'm doing good and lose weight I seem to do better when one day my calories are on the low side, around 1200 and then the next day they go around 1500-1600. Seems to trick my metabolism. Too bad I can't stick with it,lol.

AFTERNOON ALL MY BUDDYS!!

NOW GET THIS!!! I've been TREATING KATE for a WEEK for FLU!!! She FINALLY had me call her eye surgeon and I took her today....THE INFECTION IN HER EYE...oh did I forget to tell y'all that one??? IS FROM HER EYE PRESSURE....he told me that NORMAL is UNDER 20 and her's was OVER 80!!! SYMPTOMS ARE LIKE THE FLU!!

Needless to say, she had to have an emergency procedure as this could damage the work he's already done on the bad eye!!! When I left the room he was sticking a needle in the corner of her eye to give her a block so he could do the procedure.....to do that, he had to cut down the cornea...literally!!! He said that she had been lying on her back (which she can't do because of her sciatic problems) but had evidently been doing in her sleep....her cornea had slammed (his words not mine) her iris against the
blulb and the gas bubble (???) had moved up doing the damage. He was livid!! I had a DOC's appt at 11 a.m. and had to leave so thankfully, I missed the gorey stuff! When I got back she was in a dark room, they had given her animal crackers and water (two cups...she's not been drinking enough) She was ready to go home, but he said he's on call so call him if there are any symptoms...They got the eye down to a soft lid (it was hard and running clear) and gave her some tylenol 3 for pain and told her to come back Monday at 3:30....thank GAWD for ANNA the cleaning lady...she fills in for me when I can't go...I go back to work Monday so keep your fingers crossed that I don't get fired for missing another week of work! AND PLEASE...PRAYERS FOR KATE...SHE IS IN SUCH MISERY!!!

MISSY....ANOTHER DOC BITES THE DUST...WE'LL HAVE HIM CONVERTED OVER TO ORANGE IN NO TIME!!! GLAD TO HEAR SO FAR SO GOOD...I'LL TAKE ANYTHING GOOD AT THIS POINT!!! Poor LEXIE...she has set a pattern now and depends on her MOMMY to go to bed with HER!!! What in the world will you do when you have two to do that with????

MONET....ARE YOU HOME YET??? I bet TOM was in his HOG HEAVEN up there in all those trees! Did he wear shoes???? Still praying for y'all...keep us informed!

JACKIE...So glad to hear that your appointment went well, but sorry you didn't get to see your DOC...maybe next time...how long again is it till you see him??? I'm going to send you an email for your DH to read next time he says he's not rooting for PEYTON!!!

TECH...see above...I'll send you the same for DEREK....

TONI...glad you're FINALLY going to get that work done...let us know how the estimate goes! How does JACKSON like this COLD WEATHER???

ROSALIE..NOPE...No lens yet...but I'm still looking...why in the world wouldn't it be where I found my frames???? I'm puzzled!!!

CRYSTLE...How's that GRANDBABY??? Got any PICTURES??? Was that SUPERMAN husband of yours able to go with you?

MELF...You know you can do this....you've done it before....BIG TIME...get on that BALL AND GO!!!

LAURIE...You're doing good, it's FRIDAY...DON'T CAVE!!!

OK...I've got to run...TIPPY has to go to the VET for HER ALLERGY SHOT!!

I'll be back later!!

Hello everyone! I just got back from north Georgia. The delay was from the glaze tests we were doing. I just could not leave until we were able to open the kiln and see what we got. Oh my! We got some beauties! We were excited about it. Tom programmed the kiln for us, and this firing schedule is going to really improve what we get. Unfortunately, Tom is sick with a bad cold now, and I don't feel that great myself.

I did not get as much throwing done as I had hoped. I tried to get mugs done (yep, BOB...for you!) but I could not seem to get it to 'click'. I did get a large bowl, and a pitcher done, worked on a plate I have a form for, and of course, we mixed up all the glaze tests. I also tested some Majolica glazes. I go back on Tuesday, since Friday I have a wedding cake to do, so I can't go Thursday.

I will check in later!

SO GLAD TO KNOW NOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH KATE!!!

We both slept late today and when she got through putting the drops in her eyes.....SHE WANTED TWO SCRAMBLED EGGS!!!! That's a sign she's getting better...SHE HUNGRY....She ate all but a few bites, and that's good..I didn't tell her that she's got to get up tomorrow because come MONDAY...I won't be here to help her with her drops. After what they did to her yesterday, I'm surprised she wanted to eat anything...

Her eye is still swollen, but looks better...still running clear and I'll take that...it's when it gets pusy I'll start to worry.

She still won't get out of bed....but tomorrow....I'M MAKING HER!!!

Wish me luck!
