Proverbs 2:10-11, 20
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
Knowing what is right and doing what is right are completely different matters. Jessica knew she should lose weight, and she knew the way to do that was to cut back on what she was eating. The problem was that she didn't want to give up any of the foods she loved. She just wasn't committed enough. A friend of hers told her that she had all the knowledge she needed in her head, but none of it was in her heart. The reason she couldn't stick to her diet was that she didn't want to lose weight badly enough. When we find ourselves lacking the proper desire, we need to turn to the Lord, to ask His strength for doing what we know to be right.
Today's thought: Dieting is more than a matter of the mind. It's a matter o f the heart!
Today I will have a quick walk, then shampoo carpets and clean the house.
I was thinking about my goals and my stretch goal would be to break 200 pounds by the end of September. I think that is achievable, smart, and measurable. Is dropping from 219.4 to 200 realistic?
I walked last night and this am. I am still eating too much. I got brave and jumped on the scale and am way up....oh well... I have some computer problems that are bugging me. I need to figure it out.
Good morning to all
WI up again!.....mon 161.4, tue 161.8 wed 162.2.....ok whats going on????

I have my first appt with the rheumatologist. I had an appt in Jan and they canx, then one in April they canx now this one....It has taken me almost a year to be seen.
I don't have much time today for personals and I have read all the post from yesterday and this new thread..
Its a new month and I want to set a goal of exercise (formal workout) for 4 days a week, and be under 157.0 at the end of the month.
Hello, I'm new here but not new to struggles with my weight. It's at an all time high today, so I thought I would join here to hopefully help keep myself accountable.
Like many of you I'm sure, I feel overwhelmed by how much weight I need to lose (more than some of you, less than others, as these things go). I need to lose about 60 lbs. I've been actively unhappy (re:depressed) about my lack of fitness and cycling my weight higher and higher for the last 5 years. It's compounded by the fact that I used to be in pretty good shape, but after a divorce and remarrying, getting three (wonderful) step-kids and a huge life overhaul, my health has fallen by the wayside. I know many of you understand the incredible power of depression, and hopefully many also know how transformative a genuinely grateful attitude can be, so today I'm turning over a new leaf. New attitude, better and improving diet choices, and consistency in exercise. I deserve the care and effort, and so does my family.
Big speech! But today I'm starting a slightly modified Whole30 (I've done it before with wonderful results and felt great). The modifications are slight but make it easier to maintain. I'm lifting in the AM, walking in the PM, getting my 10k steps. Here we go!
