New month - my goal is to get below 213, that’s 6.4 lbs. slow smart and easy.

But I got some work to do to start the month - I was 330 over target today. But tomorrow I walk, shampoo the family room and clean the kitchen

Good Morning, Everyone!

Princess I prayed for you and your family

Last night: Basic stretches
This morning: Oxycise

Calories for yesterday: 1380 +
Weigh In: 183
Down: .2

Have a Blessed day, stay safe and healthy!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters
July 1

Proverbs 2:10-11, 20
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

Knowing what is right and doing what is right are completely different matters. Jessica knew she should lose weight, and she knew the way to do that was to cut back on what she was eating. The problem was that she didn't want to give up any of the foods she loved. She just wasn't committed enough. A friend of hers told her that she had all the knowledge she needed in her head, but none of it was in her heart. The reason she couldn't stick to her diet was that she didn't want to lose weight badly enough. When we find ourselves lacking the proper desire, we need to turn to the Lord, to ask His strength for doing what we know to be right.

Today's thought: Dieting is more than a matter of the mind. It's a matter o f the heart!

Today I will have a quick walk, then shampoo carpets and clean the house.
I was thinking about my goals and my stretch goal would be to break 200 pounds by the end of September. I think that is achievable, smart, and measurable. Is dropping from 219.4 to 200 realistic?

Hello, I'm new here but not new to struggles with my weight. It's at an all time high today, so I thought I would join here to hopefully help keep myself accountable.

Like many of you I'm sure, I feel overwhelmed by how much weight I need to lose (more than some of you, less than others, as these things go). I need to lose about 60 lbs. I've been actively unhappy (re:depressed) about my lack of fitness and cycling my weight higher and higher for the last 5 years. It's compounded by the fact that I used to be in pretty good shape, but after a divorce and remarrying, getting three (wonderful) step-kids and a huge life overhaul, my health has fallen by the wayside. I know many of you understand the incredible power of depression, and hopefully many also know how transformative a genuinely grateful attitude can be, so today I'm turning over a new leaf. New attitude, better and improving diet choices, and consistency in exercise. I deserve the care and effort, and so does my family.

Big speech! But today I'm starting a slightly modified Whole30 (I've done it before with wonderful results and felt great). The modifications are slight but make it easier to maintain. I'm lifting in the AM, walking in the PM, getting my 10k steps. Here we go!

Just stopping in to say "Hi!". I'm impressed at how all of you hang in there and do such a good job. I could take a lesson.
