Morning chickies,
Today is my day off so Im taking advantage of it before work gets busy again. Im still in my pjs,,and it feels good! I made a great salad last night,,I found the idea on a Kraft site so I tried it out. Im having it again for lunch. Spinach salad: baby spinach chopped fine red onion orange segments, cut up ff ranch dressing toss together and let sit for awhile to meld the flavours. It was really yummy!! the recipe called for canned mandarins but Im not crazy about them so i bought an orange instead. (You absorb the iron from the spinach better if you eat citrus with it) and woman never seem to get enough iron... Not sure whats on the agenda today,,,,nothing too exciting thats for sure. Id better get going here......dh is calling..sorry no time for personals. ttyl |
Do you know what's weird? Your egg isn't "lit up."
|
Patti, that salad sounds really good. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy your day off!

It's a lot like gambling and playing Let's Make a Deal (which you're probably too young for!). Do you take the for sure thing in your hand or do you gamble on what you can't see behind curtain one which could be a trip to Venice or a golf club.
It's horrible. I wish I could help. Trust your gut though. In the end, it's all that you really have. Would you really love to live there or are you forcing yourself to like it. Sometimes that helps. |
Yeah, I noticed my egg still isn't lit up but I'm still here. Weird. I'm logged in and posting. Maybe they made me stealth Vickie.
|
That's exactly what it feels like!!! What a great explanation.
I feel like we would probably be happy there, and that the property value will probably increase. I think we would be satisfied. Then there's that voice that says what if... But we were ready to purchase it before, and part of me still is! |
Stealth Vickie! I think that's what I'll call you from now on.
OK, I HAVE to get back to work!! |
And now it's back. Gremlins. Sorry you have to go back to work. I need to go shower anyway.
I say make a lower offer on the house and see if you can get a deal. They might be willing to deal since the first offer fell through. Did you ever find out why? I hope it was about the buyers and not about something with the house. Does Kentucky require sellers to do full disclosure? Have you seen the disclosure on that house? Just trying to help! |
I finally got some crackers. I heard someone dinking around in the kitchen and yelled, and Shaun came to the door. I wish I could somehow persuade them to check on me whenever they come downstairs. In any event, crackers are consumed and the medicine has been taken. My water bottle is empty but it'll probably be a while before I see one of them again. Too bad Zuki can't help out. At least he's lying right here beside me. They love being in perpetual nap mode.
Melissa, it sounds like something happened with the buyers and not the house since the fall-thru was only a week into their application process. They probably weren't pre-approved but put the contract on the house to secure it, and then started the paperwork. They might have even found something else they liked better, in which case they'd lose their earnest money but they might not care. I'm sure your realtor will be able to get the scoop on what happened. I'm going to attempt to go to the bathroom before the medicine kicks in too hard. After that, I'm useless. |
Kathy, I'm glad you got your drugs. Shame on them for needing to even be ASKED to check on you. They should just be doing it automatically. In fact, they should be driving you crazy and you should be begging them to leave you alone, they are checking on you so much.
Why is it the ones who do so much get so little back in return? I'm off to shower. |
Kathy, glad to hear that they didn't let you starve. OMG, they should be taking care of you better than they are. When do you see the doctor?
Melissa, why not call in an inspector? If he gives the house a clean bill, then you'll have covered the bases. I like using my gut feelings, but when it comes to that kind of money, an expert's opinion is a good thing. Vickie, your "special" attractions sound great. When I lived in Windsor, I used to usher at the theatre in Detroit. I saw the best of the best in those days. I was also a heavy duty Tigers fan, wow what a long time ago. |
Our realtor said that the buyers got "cold feet" because they were buying the house "as-is" (which I still need to figure out what that really means) and they just decided not to go through with it. What an ambiguous answer, huh? So I'm not sure, but he made it sound like it was the buyers and not the house.
Our loan requires a home inspection so we'll be getting one of those soon after an offer is made, if we do make an offer. And yes, we have seen the disclosure, and there is nothing on there at all that seems fishy. Whew that was a lot of info! Thanks for all the help you all!! Kathy, I'm glad that you finally found someone to help you out. I would make them wear beepers or something. They should be helping you more. |
Melissa, that all sounds great! As is means that even if they found something in a home inspection, they could not back out without losing their escrow. That should have made them nervous. I'd never waive my home inspection. Good Luck.
|
Poor Melissa, you have all these "older" women as advisers. One more thing, do you think that you could go in lower than previous? It doesn't hurt to try.:)
|
I prefer "experienced"! :D ;)
