Just thought I would try and see if I could get on here. And did. But wont post a long post. Cause afraid it wont let me.
Not much happening here. Walked 2 miles this morn. Went to church. Came home fixed something to eat. Then had a meeting at church. Came home and did nothing.

Coco, congrats on walking this morning. Exercise like that will definitely make a difference! :D Thanks for asking about Murphy. He is off his meds and seems to be feeling back to normal now. Good luck with w/i tomorrow! ;)

coco, i want to congratulate you on your walking, too. my surgery is this thursday. honestly, my foot feels better now since he gave me that 4th cortisone injection. i just have flare ups. it's time to fix the problem for once and all.

I was the one who suggested weekly boards. I have broadband so it doesn't bother me when the threads get long. I'll go along with whatever you all want.

Coco and Melissa, GREAT job on the exercise! I got none this week. Between that and TOM, I'm really dreading the scale tomorrow.

Melissa, thanks for the recipes. I'll have to check them out later. I have some strawberries to slice and I promised Jim I'd watch TV with him. I'll see you all in the morning.

Sandra, I don't even want to think about a shot in my foot. Ugh.

Coco- thanks for thinking of me. I am still uncomfortable and wondering what might be wrong? Hurts esp after I eat - can't eat that much before I get pain and bloating (then if I burp - the pressure seems to be released and the pain decreases???). Tried not drinking fizzy pop w/food - had some diet iced tea (flat) but that did not seem to make much difference. Also hurts when I take a deep breath?

Vickie - good luck w/WI tomorrow and have fun babysitting and eating out!

Angela - glad you were enjoying the nice weather w/your family.

I am also 5 2 1/2 (or so they say)...sure wish I was taller (okay I used to be tall - like when I was 5 yrs old in kindergarten - then everyone not only caught up but surpassed me hmmmph!)

I am just feeling yucky now - wondering if I have an enlarged spleen? (also doing research on that) - I do have a bit of a low grade fever (which is a symptom). I guess as I near my next birthday I am starting to fall apart? Is this what aging is like?

Good Morning Chicks! It's pretty bright and sunny here again this morning, although cold. I only could sleep until 6:00 so I'm pretty sure I'll need a nap later. Maybe it would be best if my Sister worked today because then I could have a nap after lunch. If I meet her for lunch then...no nap.

Poor Frouf! I don't remember feeling bloated and I'm pretty sure I didn't have a fever. Maybe your recent illness has aggravated your spleen? I hope you're feeling better this morning. I don't know how you read all that stuff on the internet. Usually, it just scares the poop out of me!

I'll go post on the menu thread. My weigh in is going to be ugly this week. That's what TOM and no exercise will do for you. I also need to schedule my house cleaning again. I need to deep clean again before Jim has surgery. Plus, I need to get everything ready for the new entertainment center and TV which should all be here in about 2 weeks.

I picked Bernie up at the garage at 8:30. It's the gas line, which is a good thing, but there isn't one to be found in Ottawa. They are getting one from Toronto and we'll have one car until Wednesday or Thursday. Luckily, Bernie works less than five minutes from home, so I'll be transporting him to and from work. He's on nights until Thursday.

Oh, I'm 5'7" and was always the tallest in the class. When I was a kid I always had to stand at the end of the line, which I took personally. I guess it's okay now, and I haven't done the shrinking which sometimes comes with age.

Frouf, get ye to a doctor. Personally, I thing that internet medicine is just asking for agavation. I'm going to go see about my foot later on this week if the pain doesn't subside. It comes and goes, but last night was really hurting. The back is easing, so thank goodness for something.

Melissa, glad to hear about the house. We too have gas heating, which is better than oil around here. Hope you have a few to look at and have fun with it.

Sandra, you'll be glad to have Thursday over with I'm sure. I know you'll be a good patient. Do you have lots of books to read during recuperation?

Pattie, how cool! Now I know where you are. Steve used to say he was "coming down" when he came home. Everyone here is glad that the strike is over too.
