So my little baby just went to the store for me, to buy some butter lettuce, FF feta and strawberries. I've been craving those salads again! She has called 3 times since she got there, but I suppose it's okay that she's wandering around the store since she's at the one she works at. Anyway, her last question was "if I buy a brisket, would you cook it for me?" Um, yeah sure!

DH is playing golf and big DD (Erin) is at work. I have a roasted chicken from Target ready for them, and am making some baked/broiled new potatoes and corn on the cob to go with it. I have no idea when Erin will be home but hope that Judd is here soon.

And ... sigh ... I talked to DS (Shaun) last night. He said he was sore. I'm like well it'll get better soon. Then he tells me that some computer company called him yesterday with a job offer. I said "well, did you tell them you already had a job?" He said yes, but that he was thinking about considering the computer job. Part of me wants to say FREAKIN' STICK TO SOMETHING and the other part says that the computer job would be a desk thing, out of the heat, no heavy lifting, etc. (he has exercise-induced asthma), and it's something he's been going to school for the last 3 years to train for.

UGH ... I just know he needs to get a job and pay me back my $500!! And then he also said that he's going to need the check my mom sent too.

If I live over getting these kids grown up, it'll be an absolute miracle.

The avocado is pretty hard. It's a Haas avocado so does that make it green or black? I'm going to make a smoothie now for me and Jim. I'm thinking I won't be back until morning. We got in a short swim and then dinner but the babysitting didn't happen. They just came here to visit instead.

My weigh in is tomorrow and my scale tonight is showing a gain. Anyone who feels like blinking would be appreciated by me for my weigh in tomorrow. I think I'll check out the 10:00 meeting.

Haas avocados are usually green and smooth. The black ones I buy are very bumpy.

Here's some info:

Thanks Kathy, Angela, and Linda!

Kathy, sorry to hear about DS's wavering job dedication. I'm sure that he will find something stable soon. And be able to pay you back!! Maybe the computer job is a blessing in disguise!

I hope that you all have a great evening. I've been on the phone for about an hour with my MIL and I have to get some picking up done around this house. Night!!

I am about 0 miles from Lexington. I just crack myself up. Are you coming to visit me?

OK I have a question, do you think I could do this in the crockpot? Maybe add a little more "juice"?? I was trying to find something to throw in the crockpot overnight that I could take to lunch tomorrow.

Sour Cream Chicken -- Carol @ Barborecipe
4 (3 ounce) chicken breasts (I use leftover turkey as well)
1 cup (8 ounce) fat-free sour cream
1 package dry onion soup
1/2 cup skim milk
Mix sour cream, soup and milk. Pour over chicken breasts and cover.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1-1/2 hours (1 hour if it is cooked leftover
turkey). Makes 4 servings

I may just make this instead.

Crockpot Taco Chicken
4 chicken breast halves
1 cup of salsa
reduced sodium taco seasoning (I used regular)
1/4 cup FF sour cream
2 Tbl. cornstarch

Spray crockpot with nonstick spray. Place chicken in crockpot and sprinkle with taco seasoning. Pour in salsa and cook on high for 6-8 hours. Remove chicken, add cornstarch mixed with a little water, stir, and add sour cream and stir. Pour sauce over chicken. Might be good with rice, too.

Although I am a little confused about that last set of instructions. Am I supposed to add the cornstarch to the crockpot juices or what? That sounds kind of gross. What do you guys think? I can't remember if I got this recipe here or somewhere else.

angela, congratulations on your weightloss. that's fantastic!

melissa, i'm so happy for you and aaron. i'm not surprised. i knew ya'll would get good news. thank you for your words of encouragement. i'll drink that water. thanks for reminding me.

linda, thank you, too. i may be after your crown as queen of screw ups. i royally messed up today that's for sure. i hope you beat your headache. you must have had a miserable day what with hurting so much.

kathy, i admire the way you can not eat dinner when you've had a few extra points during the day. wish i could make myself do that. our kids are in their late 30's. there are still moments that make us want to scream. big time moments.

vickie, i'm blinking. i have a feeling you'll have a good loss. you've done well all week and have gotten a lot of exercise.

melissa, i can't help you with the recipes. i've never made them. maybe someone else here knows.

i did do one good thing today. i didn't eat after 7 pm. have a good evening, all. i'll be back tomorrow to see how everyone is and to see how much weight vickie lost at wi. night night.

Default Good Morning...........

Here ya go Vickie !!!!!!

Kathy.. ..I meant the 135 wasn't that just at 142 not too long ago as your WW goal range, AND I doubt there IS anything *extra* behind your 'thin' clothes I don't know I am always so far behind I just could have missed that

What's the GOOD word Mel I am ready to 'sing' Aaron praises!!!!!! Well I can't sing but you know what I mean

Let me tell you about my smoothie last night.....I made it with WW ChocCream Smoothie mix and the rest of my milk, added some S/FFF instant Cheesecake pudding, 6 or so ice cubes and mixed well....It came out very creamy.....here's the kicker....drank it slow but after a while it kind of solidified and became even thicker couldn't drink it....I had to have it with a spoon.....yummmm. Next time I won't use all the smoothie mix and see if it can be even thicker-er

OK tell me something.......YES I did ride the scale this morning......and I am not a happy camper....repeat NOT a happy camper....I have been SOOOOOO good for 4 days, you all know that, and this morning..
BAAMMMMMM up 3 blasted pounds since my day one of being 100% THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how in the **** does THAT happen!!!! So needless to say I am pissed....all my GOOD efforts which now seem like for naught!!!! ughhhhhhhhhh...........but I will carry on until Saturday and see what that scale tells me from last Saturday......I swear this is soooooooooo the never-ending battle.....getting there seems a **** of a lot easier, they now trying to get back there and stay there. Ok, ok, I don't want to get in a funk but thanks for letting me vent........well it's 6:00am time to get going.........
'See' you all back here later....and I AM sure at least 4 pages from here

Good morning all. Linda, try not to worry about those 3 pounds. They could be from anything (water gain, different humidity, moon phases ), and if you let it bother you, then it'll be really hard to keep being good. Keep the faith - the program works but you have to give it time. Anyway, enough of my soapbox.

I'm going to attach a picture of my girls in their strawberry jammies I made them. It's just so rare to have a picture with all of them smiling at the same time. I'm ashamed to say how I made them grin like that though. Aah, the things we do for photos.

I was good yesterday evening, even though I was starving and wanted to eat the house down. I stayed with my planned snack of 94% ff popcorn.

Dh is out golfing all day today. We're cleaning around home, and going out to Wal-Mart to get gifts for a birthday party tomorrow. Should be fun!

I'll be back later to check in...

Happy Thursday to all!!

Well, big news here is that fit that Kenny Rogers (Rangers pitcher) threw yesterday! It's all anybody's talking about it. If you saw it on your news, you'll see what a #1 jerk looks like! I swear, sometimes these pro athletes just tick me off toooooo much!!

Linda, push the water today ... I mean really push it! You'll see a loss at weigh-in, I'm sure. But whatever you do, don't give up! I see now what you mean about my ticker. It's because I pushed the goal date out to Labor Day. If I shoot for 135 and only get to 142-145, that's okay too. I just want to be high 130s / low 140s and stay there. Is that too much to ask of my very uncooperative body? No, I don't think so.

Now as for today, I have to be at work until 6:00, then race home to change and get to my class. It's from 7-8 instead of 6:30-7:30 like I first though, so that'll give me a few extra minutes.

Melissa, Judd has two cousins and an aunt in Lexington. Most of the others live in Louisville except his grandma, who lives in Eubank but stays with his uncle in Winchester. And then the other cousins are in Cincinnati. So when we go to KY, we either go to the Lexington area and visit the Emerson side, or to Louisville and Casey County to visit the Wesley side. If we're ever in the area, I'll be sure to look you up or at least come visit your church!

It's gonna be another scorcher today. I'm considering a temporary relocation to Jacksonville, Fl. I hear they got 6 inches of rain yesterday.
