Lordy, Chicks! Here I am up before the crack of dawn today. This time I woke up thinking about my sod. I woke up at 3:15 and couldn't go back to sleep. I stayed in bed until 4:30 and then just finally gave up.

I thought I would sleep like a log because I had so much exercise yesterday. Wrong. I was in the pool for 2 hours. The water was fabulous and 85 degrees! No stirring was necessary. It was warm all the way to the bottom. I got some extra credit exercise in there. Woo Hoo!

The downside is that they hit us with extra watering restrictions yesterday. We can only water at night. Jim says new sod is exempt so we should be able to water. We have horrible water pressure though. I'm trying to convince myself that is better since a light long watering should be absorbed better.

Rhonda, I, too, heard that there is no such thing as overwatering new sod. I think we'll be spending our next week every day watering sod. After that, it seems we can taper off. There is no real rain forecasted for us. Quite unusual for this area.

My eating should be better today, although I have no idea what we will be having for dinner. I guess I should be thinking about that while I sit here and wait for Jim to awaken.

Have a great day chicks! I'm sure I'll be back to check on all of you. Are you getting your water in? I even took a frozen bottle out to the pool yesterday.

Sandra, I hope you and Curtis are killing the competition!

Paula, what are your plans for vacation? Are you going on a trip?

Coco, you're right! Nothing feels as good as fresh sheets hung outside. I never do that anymore.

Kathy, I'm glad you're keeping so busy. I think it's what makes you happy.

Donna, I had a great time in the pool. I wish I could have you all over for a pool party!

Rhonda, good luck with getting back to your exercise. It's been very hard for me. I can't believe how out of shape I got. I love Nancy Drew. I don't think I could convince anyone to see it at the show so I'll probably just rent the new movie when it comes out.

So what does everyone have planned for the weekend? You know about my Saturday. Sunday I'll be babysitting for my nearly 4 year old Great Nephew and my one year old Great Niece while their big Sister goes to a 5 hour dance recital. I may have to watch them myself. Jim may be home watering!

Morning everyone. Busy Saturday for us - already had my hair done - cut and color, my appt was at 7am. Love getting it done early, especially with the color. Now I need to clean, go shopping then this afternoon I'm taking Sarah to my niece's dance recital. Not sure about tomorrow - do need to wrap father's day presents.

No major plans for my vacation week, a few day trips planned. Meeting my gf and her 2 kids at the zoo on Monday, Tuesday is the last gymnastics class, then I do want to go to the beach one day next week and I have to go shopping for a few more things for Sarah for camp.

Off to clean. Hope everyone does well today! Had a scale surpirse yesterday - when I weighed myself when I got home I weighed less than what I did that morning - thought it was the scale acting funny again, but this am it was down another pd!!! I am planning on stopping into work onWed to wi. Take care!

Afternoon Everyone:

I read about a review about a local restaurant and we went there for breakfast. It was DELICIOUS, and they serve egg white omelettes.

I'm out the door to do a little shopping, then we're going out to a friend's for dinner. It will be a challenge since she's a good cook and not at all respectful of food restrictions!! Gotta love her though.

It's just an absolutely beautiful summer day. We should be out walking on the lake front but DH hates walking at the best of times, and has thrown his back out.

Oh well!

The ugly raised flowerbeds are gone and the sod is in and looks beautiful. Now if we can just keep it growing!

I'm off to eat dinner and try to get Jim in the pool with me.

Vickie did they give you any advice on how to care for it?? I know if you use a soaker hose it will develope a good root system.. I dont have a soaker hose so I let my hose sit on top of the grass and run for awhile and then just move it around to different spots.

Hi everyone
Hope everyone has had a great day.
Mine ok. Washed jeans and hung out. The weather has been great for drying clothes outside. So taking advantage of it. Should help on the electric bill then.
VICKIE Never had to work with sod before. So dont know anything about it. I am sure it will be alright.
KATPO dumb question. What is a lanyard. I see it is made with beads. But not sure what it is.

Whew, what a day! I can't believe the weekend is half gone and I've run around doing a little bit of everything for two solid days!

Rhonda, we are having SUCH weather; most of the area lakes are up and some docks are even closed because it's too deep. I have never seen this much rain in my entire life.

I made some 13 bean soup (or is it 15 bean soup) tonight so it's ready for tomorrow. We have to go to Fort Worth and take Judd's parents to lunch, but hopefully it can be somewhere that I can get a good salad and some grilled fish and steamed vegetables. Fortunately, that's not too uncommon anymore.

I'll check back in tomorrow. Everybody have a good evening.

Whew, me too! I did manage to sit a bit this morning and again in the mid-afternoon. But, the rest of the time was spent "running."

Our beautiful summer day turned into HOT and SMOGGY. Toronto used to be clear, but now, it's smoggy way too often. It's really a shame. Part of it comes up from the U.S., but we're good at producing our own too.

I got in 30 minutes of and will do the same tomorrow.

Good Morning Chicks! I'm off to babysit the Great Nephew and Niece for about 6 hours.

When I come home we'll be eating Chipotle and heading to the pool. Have a great day. We are watering now. I'll be babysitting by myself so that Jim can finish the watering for us. It's supposed to get to 92 today. Wow!

Good Morning Chicks! Is it truly possible that no one has been here since me yesterday morning?

We are going to get cancelled for lack of interest!

I didn't go to WW today. We had too much to do. Bad excuse, I know. I ate very badly yesterday and didn't want to weigh in with the sheer volume of the stuff in my tummy. We didn't plan to go out for dinner and we had a big lunch. My 6 year old Great Niece started crying hysterically when she found out that Jim and I weren't going to the restaurant. She was at her dance recital while we stayed home with her brother and Sister. So big softy that I am, we went to the restaurant and then I overate. Sigh.

Then they all came back here and we swan for about 2 hours. It was great fun. Now Julianna wants a sleepover. She's a good girl....even if she does talk nonstop! I'm sure she is just like I used to be as a little girl. She must control and organize everything. It's pretty darned funny to me even if not to her Mom.

Have a great day. It's going to be 90 plus here again today so Jim and I will be swimming after lunch. More exercise, thank God!

Kathy, I just heard that Gainseville got 7 inches of rain yesterday. Is that near you?
