Just a quick HI to everyone.
Storms on the way.
Hear some thunder now. But wanted to check in.
Will have to read the post later.
Hubby finally looked at the dryer. He cleaned a BUNCH of lint out of it. So am hoping that will fix the problem. So got a load of towels in now. See how long it takes to dry. the other day. it was 3 hours.
Hope everyone had a good day.
Know that I am thinking of each of you.

i was still craving something decadent today--so i had it. that's all i'm going to say about that.
we go to ww for wi in the am. curtis has done great all week making wonderful choices. i'm expecting him to have a good loss. i'm expecting to do some dusting myself. life goes on.
we'll leave right after wi and will drop the trailer off at the campground on our way to butte. i'm taking the puter hoping there will be wireless service available in butte. i know i won't be able to be online sat/sun cuz where we'll be camping there won't even be cellphone service. we'll be home sometime sun night or monday.
kathy, we're flying to tx for a family reunion. i don't think we'll have time to visit. i apologize. i do hope we can see each other when you come to montana.
vickie, honestly, i'm too lazy to get the camera out of the travel trailer to take the photo right now. i'll take one later next week. i was just teasing earlier--but i do think your neighbor's backyard is awesome!! i cooked a large core lunch today, too. for dinner we had a non-core but low point meal. curtis claims his body's craving carbs.
rhonda, it does sound like more of a move than i'd thought. i'm glad you'll get to be sort of close to your colleagues.
donna, i'll bet it was pse. they're located in tucson, az. we shoot for martin archery. they build their bows in walla wall, wa. i wish we'd seen that show. i'll bet curtis (and i) would have loved it.
paula and patti, congratulations. paula, that's an awesome loss. patti, we'll be waiting to see what yours is.
Paula - Congratulations!!! You worked hard and earned it.
Vicki - wow no popcorn! Color me impressed. If I was being really good I might pop my own and smuggle it in. I figure that's what big purses are for
Sandra - That's right PSE. It was really cool. I looked it up, if you have the travel channel it re-airs on Saturday at 3:00 you could set the VCR/DVR what ever.
Sandra, I totally understand. It sounds like it's going to be a really fast trip. Expect rain on Friday and Saturday according to the news reports.
We went to the sports bar hang-out place where Judd loves to go. It's sorta new (not the same place where I used to work and we went all the time) and is nonsmoking, which really makes a huge difference. I had a cobb salad but only ate about 1/4 of it. It wasn't all that big but I guess I wasn't very hungry.
Now I'm looking for health insurance for Erin. She has insurance thru Walgreens but when she goes away in the fall, she won't be able to work more than one day a week if that. Her insurance would cost more than she would even make. I could add her to my next open enrollment but that's not until November and effective in January; meanwhile A&M requires all students to have health insurance. We can either do COBRA (way too expensive) or find a private policy, unless I can somehow get her onto my insurance now. You'd think it would be a major life event to have a child go from FT undergrad student who is employed and covered, to unemployed and uninsured FT grad student. I guess it'll all work out somehow.
I suppose I should go to bed now. Everyone have a good evening!
Hey Chicks! It is truly before the crack of dawn here. Just another insomniac night here. A muscle is bothering me in my hip. I'm sure it's just aches and pains from starting my walking plan up again.
I also woke up thinking about our new sod that will be installed on Sunday. Does anyone know how to take care of it? Like how much do we water and how often? We don't have the sprinkler system in the backyard yet so we'll have to set up the little sprinkler. We didn't do the whole backyard; just 3 big sections where we are removing raised flower beds and some other spot patching. I'm going to google it too.
My eating was great yesterday; nothing after dinner which is quite unusual for me. I'll be eating early this morning. In fact, I think I'm going to sneak into the kitchen and get myself a big bottle of water. I don't want to wake the dog up since it's only 4 a.m.
I'm sure I'll be back later. The cleaning lady is due at 8:00.
Morning Ladies!
Sorry I have been MIA lately.Things are hectic at the moment.Jim and I discussed Sunday that it would be nice if I went back to work.Living on one income has been ok,but we sure miss the luxury of not having to worry about money. The great thing about it is that my mother agreed to be our nanny,my eldest will continue with preschool when is starts up again in the fall.So i have been looking, updating my resume, sending some out.I have got 2
calls from recruiters and I have an interview next tuesday at a very nice staffing firm in Boston.they do a lot of contract work.Which I guess would be ok if I didnt have to pay a nanny while I was not working in between jobs but I told her my primary focus was a perm position.
On the down side of it I didnt hear anything from the Y until yesterday and she told me when I could come in for training and what hours I wanted. So now I'm in a jam, the Y was suppose to be for the membership and maybe some mad money. So I think I will hold off on the contract work until something perm comes up and just do evenings. So much to think about.
This week Ive been doing what my friend calls "Flore" flex with core foods. It hasnt been bad and for several past night I gave up nighttime snack..nothing after 730 I'm finally use to it!
I will read when I get back from errands and preschool drop off!
Tikki, I would hate it if I had to go back to work, but I very much understand missing the extra money. It's been tight for us compared to when we were both working. I worked full time for 30 years and I am completely enjoying retirement. It's not worth the tradeoff for me. But you're young, so I certainly understand. Good luck at your interview!
Ok....I'm back to lurking for a bit. The next couple of days are going to be very busy. Be well all!
I've been lurking as well. Not much going on today. Happily the scale is still down today. I splurged a bit last night - glass of wine and some pretzels. I logged them into the online tools and calc'd the points. I used 7. Not too bad. I'm back to not using them on purpose as of today.
Tiki, good luck with the job situation. Both DH and I work -- I have a 4 day schedule. It works out well. I hope you can find something that suits you and helps with the finances.
Well, getting ready to head home. Forgot to take something out of the freezer for dinner. I finally decided to get out a steak, thaw it a bit then cut it thin and pan fry it. Our grill is dead and we have not gotten a new one yet. The DH can have a steak sandwich and I'll make some couscous and have mine over that.
I haven't been able to get on the board while at work today; what's new with that, huh?
We're expecting storms tonight and thru the weekend.
My evening last night that I thought would end at midnight actually started back up at 1:00 when I put my foot in a big pile of cold, wet ick. I turned on the light and saw that Bindy had thrown up all over the bed. Lovely. I took the sheets and comforter off, took her outside, and then went into the other guest room to finish the night. Nope, at 4:00 she was at the door making the vomit noises. I took her back out, managed to sleep for another hour or so and then had to get up for work. Sometimes life sucks.
I'm not really hungry today so I didn't have much. I'll be cooking dinner in a little while and might eat some then; otherwise, I'll start back over in the morning. Scale is hanging in at 143.8 for morning weights.
Hi Everyone
Well with the storm that we were suppose to get last night. Didnt amount to much. We did get some high wind. Thunder and lighting. And very little rain. My parents live about miles away. they got 1 1/2 inches of rain. I know I could look out my kitchen window and see rain. It was like fog in sheets. Kinda weird.
I hope everyone has had a great day.
Not much happening here.
Well am going to get off here.
Thinking of each of you.
Have a wonderful evening.
