REBECA --- Even though you weight in every morning, because I do too, do you have one set day a week, meaning the same one weekly, to weigh in? I'm just curious as to how often and when everyone weighs in? And BTW, I meant to tell you before that your pic is very pretty!

Every morning! I record it somewhere if it sticks for a couple of days.

Hi all! I've been doing it "the old school way" for over a week now.

I weigh myself every morning, just once.
I record the date, weight and calories of everything I eat in a pocketsize spiral bound notebook and carry it wherever I go.
I don't record calories burned through excersize and negate them out through food. I have to stick to my cal limit...excersize or not.

I used to do fitday, and have the home PC version, but got too wrapped up in the numbers and charts. This way, each day is a new page, I constantly see my weight at the top, and I'm not going to punish myself for downfalls.

5lbs so far!

Michelle- Thanks! Looking at ur pic there is no way you need to loose over 100lbs! But I do weight in on MONDAY! Thats the weight that I log in and count with! Me and SIL have a weight loss challenge going on so both of us get on the scale Monday nights and see how much each one of us have lost!

REBECA --- Thanks for the compliment, but I really do need to lose that amount of weight. In high school, I weighed 115, and the day I got married I weighed 122. I'm really not for sure what my final goal weight should be, but I'm thinking 145 will be pretty good.

PHYLLIS --- Yes those were the days! I thought I looked and felt so good, but some people accused me of being anorexic, but anyone who knew me, would know I can NEVER go without eating LOL! I'm only 5'4" but I'm a larger frame, so since having two kids and being on thyroid meds for the past 14 years, I'm thinking 145 pounds will be a good goal, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see when I get there!

Elyse congrats on loosing 4 pounds!

Everyone on this thread is doing such a good job!

I've been staying pretty much OP. Still a little higher on the calories then I like today.

1750 calories, 929 deficit, 45 minutes curves

Had a deficit of 469 yesterday.....it was a higher cal. day for me but I am still down on the scales. I am trying to stay at 1500 but had 1919 cal. yesterday but it was one of those days where I was starving all day. I did however eat healthy foods and snacks....that is a HUGE improvement.

Michelle Couldn't resist the scale this am. What I do is what someone else said, maybe Susan, give a new number a chance to stick, and then record it.

Everyone seems to be doing really well. Just logged on to say that I did eat out last night, and did not bother to calculate. But, I did my treadmill walking this morning, so I am feeling good. Today I am staying on plan!

ELYSE --- I like that idea also with seeing if a number sticks for a couple of days and then recording it. I just cannot go a morning without stepping on the scale to make sure I'm staying OP!

Meigg, I'm going to encourage you to try to calculate your dinner out. I think it will help you learn to eat out healthily and will help you with the concept of averaging your calories over time.

What if it wasn't so bad? What if the only problem was the garlic bread? What if you'd left a little part of each dish on your plate?
