Default Mkt

So what do you do with the MKT? You could probably host some pretty big parties.

I belong to a military vehicle club and we do living history events, air shows, car shows etc. I usually cook for the club if we're having a multi-day event. They're supposed to be capable of feeding 250 people per meal but the most I've done (luckily) is around 30.

Week 22 WI this morning -3 for a total of 56 since start and 3lbs past my original goal. DW wants to stay on P2 for an additional week so I have the potential to be down a little more yet.

My clinic just got the Tanita Body Compostion Analyzer and it shows me at 18.9% Body Fat. I'd like to get down to around 17% but I think that's going to take more exercise than dieting. I still want to wait until at least P3 before I start any strength training though.

Blood presure was 102 over 70. BMI below 30. He was very impressed with my overall health and weight loss, but not enough to skipping the you know what test.

Week 3 on P2 and down 1 pound. I'm ending this week a couple of days early as we've got lots going on. We're hosting a wedding reception tomorrow evening then leaving at 6am Friday morning for a 3hr drive to Lake Amistad and a houseboat stay. We probably won't start P3 until Sunday but definitely moving on. I know a lot of you have been, or were on, this longer than us but after 5 and a half months it's starting to wear on me mentally more than physically. Of course P3 takes so much more planning than P1 or P2 so the mental part isn't quite over yet.

Got the flu, high fever, cough and weakness, and some gastro issues. Still going although I had a slice of heavy organic nutty wheat bread last n(16 carbs) and a banana today with 29 carbs. Wow did not know bananas had so many until after i devoured it. Veges dont sound appealing although about to eat a steak. Will do my best to stay on, indeed I will stay on... but not too disappointed in these small cheats when i feel like this. anyone else get real sick while on IP?

Hope you're feeling better Mike. While I haven't been sick since starting my coach told DW when she was to forget about the diet and take care of yourself. You need some extra nutrients to get healthy again then climb back on the horse.

We started P3 this morning. Apple-Cinnamon Steel Cut Oatmeal. WOW! Quite the flavor shock after 6 months of IP.

I got what I thought was food poisoning and only lasted ~24hrs. That was miserable. I ended up having a ginger ale and my salad with full on bleu cheese dressing. It didn't last long, but I too didn't feel like it was really cheating too badly.

Starting P3 tomorrow!!!!!
I am so excited to start this phase. Going grocery shopping a little later. Here comes the fruit!
Although my weight loss had a little hitch in P2, I am not too worried really. I am so much more comfortable with myself. If I lose 3 more pounds, great, but if I just bounce around from 175-185 for the rest of my life I will be happy.

So glad this forum is here for folks to get some support and ideas.

Congrats on P3! Here's what we did for our first P3 breakfast:

Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats - slow cooker

3 apples, cored and cut into pieces
1.5 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1.5 cups water
1 cup uncooked steel-cut oats
2 tbsp. agave syrup
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1.5 tbsp. coconut oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp. ground flax seed
1/4 tsp sea salt
(the recipe didn't call for it but I added 1/4 cup of raisins also)

Grease crockpot with coconut oil
Add all ingredients to pot and stir
Cook on low for 6-7 hours
Makes 8 servings

Cal - 155
Fat - 3.75g
Carb- 21g
Prot- 4g

We added 2 eggs and a strip of bacon to round out the meal. The oatmeal was FANTASTIC!

Been struggling to take off the last 4 pounds. Congrats on phase 3 M35A2. I hope to be there in a month. Shocking how little this new body needs live on. The days of eating a large pizza by myself are nothing but a memory.
