So while I'm waiting for the alarm company to come fix the alarm I notice the fridge is not working. I call for service and they can't come until Friday (what if I did'nt have another fridge in the garage???? Huh??? Then what???). Anyway's while I am looking for the receipt for the fridge that we bought 17 months ago (can you tell I'm bitter ) I found my Low carb cookbook. 500 Low-Carb Recipes by Dana Carpender. Yeah!!

Hi guys. Just got back from my personal training session and thought I'd share some interesting info. First, despite the fact that I am still like 70 lbs. overweight, I got my body fat done. I have 40.8% body fat which isn't too bad considering. As I suspected, my goal weight of 150 is actually realistic for me because I have a lot of muscle under all this fat, LOL. She was thrilled that I am doing low carb and that I have been able to stick with it for so long. She also gave me some targets for calories I should be eating. This will shock you. On days I don't exercise, I should be eating 1800 calories and on days I do exercise, I should be eating 2200 calories!!! I hope that puts the big calorie debate to rest. I don't know how I can get that many in. I'll be drinking a lot of protein shakes or something. She also wants me to work up to an hour on the treadmill.

It's about 100 degrees here today and I think I'll about melt outside. I've also made reservations and bought a plane ticket to The Big Easy for next month. Something to look forward to although I should probably save the money and spend it on my house. I need new windows and new furniture......... You know how it goes.

I'm planning to go to Power Yoga tonight. TTYL

I have been questioning whether or not I am eating enough calories. I think I am getting about 1300-1400 a day on South Beach but when I exercise I can burn up to 800. It does'nt seem like I am getting enough and lately I have been tired. Maybe this is why. It is all so confusing. I want to lose the weight fast but I want to be healthy even more.

I get my protein powder at Wegman's. I don't know if you have those down there but a lot of people on the Protein Power board like a brand called Optimum Nutrition so when I run out of what I have I will look around for that.

Mom-there is a tight balance on calories. If you fall too far below your basal metabolic rate, your body thinks you are starving and slows down your metabolism and becomes very difficult to lose weight so you need to eat at least at the level of your BMR every day and on days you exercise you may need to eat more. You may actually be sabotaging yourself by not eating enough. Anyone who has ever done weight watchers can tell you that this a key point in their program. I can also tell you it is true from personal experience.

I think it's the heat curly. I've been having trouble eating recently too. I"ve been trying to graze throughout the day so my calories don't fall too low. Hard boiled eggs, cheese, nuts, etc.

I have been the opposite lately. I keep getting hungry and having to eat my snack or meal earlier then I normally would. This has just been happening over the past 3 days before that I was having the same problem and you guys. Oh well at least I'm still OP. I am having a hard time with the exercise though and I think that is because of the heat.

Have a great day ladies.

Good Morning Partners.

Hope everyone is doing well and surviving the heat. It has been rather warm here as well, and sounds like it will continue until at least Sunday.

I have been busy reading the South Beach book, which I picked up in the States for a very reasonable price compared to here in Canada. It is very similar to the WW core plan, so I may just stick with WW and switch from flex to core. I will decide over the weekend, once the company goes home and life gets back to normal.

I just arrived at work, so better get cracking. Have a great day and talk to you all soon.
