Oh Survivor fans YaY!! James was my favorite last season even if he did make the dumbest move in survivor history, but thats okay, still love his attitude! Not liking parvarti all over him though! Yau Man is my other fave!! LOVE HIM! and so glad Johnnie rotten is gone!

Laura...I cannot wait to hear how your race went!!! Lets not even talk student loans! LOL!! I've got a bundle of those but luckily got till the end of the year before I really gotta start thinking about them. Although when we win Powerball tonight I wont have to think about them at all! LOL!! Good luck tomorrow!!

cakses...I didnt know you were a military wife!! I'm so sorry if you said that before and I didnt remember. You are one of my heros!! I cannot tell you how thankful I am for you and your families sacrifices so that I can live the life that I live. I hope you have a very very happy birthday, and that all your wishes come true!

Don't really have much time to write up a full race report now, but here's a short version:

I was EXHAUSTED this morning when I woke up, and SO not ready to run. I really wanted to go back to bed, but I had already signed up so I didn't want to waste my $20! Haha. On the subway up there, I had to try hard not to fall asleep - that's how tired I was. The race started, and I felt very sluggish. Then the winds picked up... they were at 20 MPH, with gusts up to 29 MPH! From miles 7-10 we were running DIRECTLY into the wind, and it was awful. This was the first race I had done completely on my own (that is, no one at the finish line), and it was so depressing. Then at mile 12, I put on Heather Small's "Proud" and thought of all of you... it was like you were there cheering me on for the last mile I finished in 2:01:53, which I'm thrilled about considering how tired I was and how bad the winds were. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!

Happy Sunday Everyone,

Just enjoyed a wonderful morning with the paper, a cup of coffee, my husband and two adorable lap dogs. I was also pleased to see the scale down another half a pound thanks in large part to the fantastic inspiration and support from all of you. I have been trying to get my eating on track for a long time now but I am finally thinking twice about what I am putting in my mouth and slowly but surely things are improving.

MSTeacher-Congratulations on the smaller pants size. The hard work pays off big time! I can't wait until I am down a size. All the pants I have in my current size are out of date but I don't want to buy anymore of this size!

Cakses-HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you are feeling better.

Laura-You are a trooper girl! I was thinking that the description of your race was a good analogy for loosing weight. Sometimes it feels like running into the wind on a cold day when you woke up sleepy to begin with. You are a great inspiration for keeping your eyes on the prize.

Floann-Congratulations for losing 2.2 pounds. It all adds up.

You take it easy. Sometimes it just all comes together. What we need to do and what is important. Watching what we put in our mouth is a very important step to getting where we all want to be.

Laura
Way to go on doing that race. Had to be hard it being so cold and so windy. Bet you are so proud of yourself you just can't see straight.

cakes
Happy birthday. You poor thing, no one should be sick on their birthday. I know things must be rough with the hubby gone. Been there and done that. Try to have a nice time with the kids. Hope you feel better soon.

Hun
If we had someone that looked like that down at our fire department. I would call them every time I stubbed my toe lol. Or maybe I would just stop in and visit everyday, the building is only 3 doors down.

msteacher
WOW thats great. Oh my gosh you must have been tickled that you have lost that much in sizes. I can't wait until everything I have is falling off me ( have a few size 12 Levis that I can get into if I don't want to breath much lol ). I am hoping this happens my my anniversary in April.

floann
WOW nice weight loss.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Mom23BC ~ Happy 6th birthday to your son!!

Counting ~ Thank you for the words of encouragement! I did not leave the house yesterday and do feel a lot better today! Thank you again! Also congrats on your 2 lb loss!

Tina ~ In regards to the Cardio/Weight training… I’ve been told to warm up and cool down with cardio and that is all that is really required for Cardio. I honestly do more Cardio because I don’t know how to use all of the weight equipment, but that is changing! Oh and yes Omaha does have pretty darn good pizza! I’m trying to stay away from it, but for some reason I always seem to have pizza at least once a week.

Shy ~ Isn’t it crazy that we can equate our weight loss to our pets?! LOL When I told my hubby I had lost the same weight as my cat he asked when I was getting rid of my cat… how mean he can be sometimes…his cat is getting the boot before mine does!

MSTeacher ~ congrats on the pants size!! That is awesome!

Cakses ~ Happy Birthday!! And congrats at being back to 199!! Gotta love Onederland!! Hope you are feeling better soon.

Melissa ~ Congrats on getting your car paid off!! I’m sure that feels great not having to worry about that every month!

Floann ~ Congrats on the 2 pound loss!

Laura ~ Congrats on your race! I’m so proud of you for getting up and completing it when you were tired and it was cold & windy out. You are definitely an inspiration!

So as I said, my legs are feeling a lot better today than they did yesterday. I had an appointment with a trainer at 24 Hour this morning at 8am so I had to get my butt out of bed. I did go work out this morning, did 40 minutes of weights and 20 minutes of elliptical. I went and got my hair cut! That was my award to myself for losing 20 pounds! I just got a couple of inches trimmed off of it. Of course now I sound like a freaking toad and am hoping I can get over this real quick or I may be calling into work sick tomorrow.

Hi All!

I haven't been here in awhile and I must admit I notice not posting here parallells with my staying on plan. I've been struggling for the past 5 days or so with getting to the gym and my eating, but I'm posting here to say it must stop NOW before it gets out of hand.

I plan to get to the gym tomorrow and stay on plan by taking it one day at a time and fighting to get through my "craving" attacks. I call them attacks because for the past 5 days they've been pretty intense. Luckily, I haven't gained any weight, but sadly I haven't lost any weight. Hopefully next week I'll have a big number to post.

Have a good night ladies!

Good evening ladies,

Hope everybody had a good weekend. I had alot of fun at the casino last night. I was really good at the buffet and I was there for 5 hours and did at least 3 hours of walking. On my points booster that means I earned 9aps yesterday with all my walking and after my daily points and my ap's I only had to use 16 of my 35 wap's. I lost 80.00 though, but that's okay...that's what I planned to take and I didn't use any more than that!

Today I went to see my friend's son in a gymnastics meet. It was my first time seeing him compete and he did really well. He's only 9 and it's his first year, I was very impressed and my son thought it was pretty cool to watch. I made it to the gym tonight as planned and I got 45 minutes in ... 30 min cardio and 15 min of ab work and thighs. I started week 3 of c25k and I was sooooo amazed that I could actually run for 3 minutes straight....twice!!! It's amazing the things you can do when you push yourself! I earned 6ap's tonight and I don't even have to use them becuase I still have 5 points left for my evening Honey Nut Cheerios and skim milk snack!

cakses: Woohoo for being in Onederland. I can't wait until I get there! only 30 more lbs to go! Happy Birthday!

Laura: LOL about James muscles looking like fat rolls. He's just beautiful! I think it's his smile more than anything! I really like you-man too! I'm glad that we were there in spirit for you to complete your race successfully. Wow, those conditions definitely weren't the best were they? AND student loan talk makes me ill. I"m up to about 50,000 in loans that are still deferred and I still have one more semester to go!

floann: Congrats on 2.2lbs. Keep up the good work!

Terapet: Sounds like a nice relaxing morning. Good for you that the scale is moving in the right direction. Support is very important and this board is definitely helpful in making the right decisions.

Andi: What a nice gift for 20lb loss! I have to think of something to reward myself with....i'm only 2.4 away from 20lbs!

Tina: Glad your feeling better! I"ve been under the weather for about 3 days now, but I keep pushing myself to work out anyway! I feel better because of it!

Optimistk: Glad to see you getting back on track and posting. Posting definitly helps to keep me on track!

Well i'm going to post on the vacation thread and then go watch the grammy's. Only 5 more days of school and then February vacation. YIPEE...the perks of being a teacher!

Quick check in, as homework is due in about an hour LOL! I hope this week is more calm so I can get in here more.

Anyways! I'm getting VERY irritated....the scale just does NOT want to go below 214! Granted, I added weights last week and am very sore--but still. I'm hoping to see at least 213 tomorrow...I hope, hope, HOPE.

Maybe shake things up a bit. Look at what you are eating and maybe lower the fat just 1 gram for the day or maybe take 10 off your carbs. Mix up when you exercise. Just give the body a little shake. The weight will come off. We didn't gain it all in a day, we aren't going to lose it all in a day.

melissa
glad you had a nice time.

Opti
You are looking at it the right way. Yes, you haven't stayed on the plans you have for yourself but you haven't gained so you didn't really hurt anything. Get back to where you want to be now not later.

Tina
Nice going with the workouts. We have to remember sometimes as we are losing weight we are gaining muscle. This does happen from time to time. Might be the reason why some people don't gain or lose sometimes.

Andi
Make sure you are doing a real good stretch after your cardio. It is real important. My husband knows the cat rules the house and everyone goes before my cat goes lol. Great idea about the hair cut. I think when I lost 40lbs my husband had me go and get mine cut and highlighted ( never had that done before ) it looked so great and I felt so good about myself. There is nothing wrong with a reward to tell our selfs we are proud of what we have accomplished.
