Some many "losers" today!!! And I mean that as a total compliment.

Congrats, born2btxgrl, skuba girl, patzi, & Rzrbackcandi!!!!!

Junie04, to only gain 0.8 on a cruise is AWESOME!!!! I know how hard it is to be on a cruise with all that delicious food just calling your name.

Hubby and I went out for our anniversary yesterday. Unfortunately, we didn't get to lunch until 3 PM yesterday and I had an absolute moment of weakness. I was starving and suggested fried cheese sticks as an appetizer. He totally talked me off the ledge and I am so grateful to him for that. He knows how much effort I'm putting into this. We quickly turned it down, I had a grilled chicken salad and brought along an apple for my fruit. I was so glad I didn't go off plan. Dinner was almost completely OP with the exception of a little bit of bread. Not low cal, but that was the only hiccup in the day. Not to mention, we did a lot of walking, so in my book, that almost negates the bread...right?

And last night, I made a delish turkey meatloaf. Hubby liked it so much he took the leftovers to work for lunch! And it was so easy...just turkey, a bunch of spices and herbs, and green onion. And I topped with frank's red hot. Sooo good!

I think I made one mistake on the yellow menu yesterday though...we had green beans with dinner. And my menu doesn't list green beans, but does list "string beans." Same thing, or no?
I'm so happy for you that it's renewed your interest. That's great! Yes, string beans and green beans are the same thing. Just one of those things that different people/areas of the country call them different things.

Also, what herbs and spices did you use in the meatloaf? Sounds good.

An interesting mix of herbs and spices:

It was one pound of ground turkey, and about 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper/ 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley, a few dashes of red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon Mrs. Dash lemon pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon dried dill and a shake or two of dried rosemary.

We are big on the use of dried herbs around here.

I baked it at 350 for about 30 minutes...then I drained off the fat...then topped it with the hot sauce, covered it and turned it to 180 and left to workout for an hour. It was perfectly cooked when I got back!

I'm just surprised how the past 10 weeks has flown by - I only have 7 weeks left of program and I am no where near my goal of 50lbs (or at least it feels this way). Technically I only have 23 more pounds to loose, but it just seems so far away!

This morning when I got out of the shower I noticed that my stomach was very, very small. Gross out here - I would normally have to flap it up in order to see below my waist - this morning I didn't. This made me curious!! I also pulled out some size 18 jeans (I was a size 24-26 when I started) .. and I was able to button them but it created a muffin top ... SO VERY CLOSE!!!

I wish patience would come easy on this journey, but it appears to be a true test of will and strength! I weigh in tomorrow again in order to get my 2 times in, but I doubt I will lose anything.
You are doing very well! I can't wait to actually see a difference in my tummy! I have often said that I need/want more patience and I want it now. I think that the changes I am seeing in my thoughts, emotions, confidence, etc. are probably more important than the changes on the scale and those type of changes take and trials (but I think it will be worth it in the end).

I created an Excel chart to track my weight loss and did really well the first 2 weeks, then only lost 1lb, the next two weeks were great and now this week only 2.5lbs. I'm really hoping to be below 300 next week and I haven't been below 300 in over 6 years.

Since I've started to exercise more, the consultant suggested I drink another HNS, even on days that I don't exercise because my water mass ? I think that's what she said has dropped which I guess isn't a good thing. I had her go over my inches lost from last week because we really didn't get to cover that. The biggest areas of loss - 3 inches in the bust, 3 inches in the "natural" waist line and 3 in the hips.. at least I'm losing inches evenly.

That's it for now.. I hope everyone has a great day!
Hi.
Sorry you did not go below 300, but you lost and that is important, and it was a good loss.. You will get there, hopefully next week, but it will come. Also
good inch loss.. It all contributes something. Happy for your loss in both situations.

Hi...
Sometimes I make turkey meatloaf and put it into muffin pan and make small muffin loaves.. Just a variation.

Also now that I am on maintenance, will add veggies to egg beater omelet in
morning and make mini muffin quiches.. These are so good on the go..When traveling and running to catch a plane,I heat and take with me in car on way to airport with a HNS.

I'm guessing she meant your muscle mass. With these extremely low calories, it's easy to lose muscle mass along with the fat. If your exercising, your body has to eat *something*, and they don't want that to be muscle. Muscle protects your body and burns calories. By adding an HNS, you're adding protein, which protects muscle mass (protein is a building block of muscle).

Congrats on your losses so far!
