hello everyone.. well I too am journalling my butt off.. I have been keeping a good log for at least 3 weeks and just really started tracking calories .. i was doing points.. I am keeping track of weightloss/gain every week.. if in a month I lose about the same i will know about how many I am burning(and defiecit.. because 1 lb=3500 cal divided by 7 days.. if I am taking in 2000 cal and losing 1 lb a week then I should be burning 2500 a day(roughly...) so ...

I lost another pound this week.. yeah!! I went out tonite.. kids grad dinner.. we went out to a nice all you can eat seafood house.. i give myself 1800-2000 a day.. and all day I had only used 160.. knowing we were going out..

I planned ahead and looked up the calories in 2 crab legs, 15 shrimp, 18 steamed clams, 4 T butter, 2 oz prime rib(yum) I had a stuffed crab too.. I threw a handful of carrots on my plate out of guilt.. I had some fruit too.. and I stayed under my calorie range.... I even made a mock applecrisp at home and coffee.. total was 1940 cal...hope scale is kind next week...

well I read the hackers diet.. I find a link from this group and followed it.. it had some neat reading and ways to look at losing your weight.. very mathmatical.. I liked that...I can relate to that.. numbers and probability and calories in and calories out..

I should be in the 220" by end of june and 2 teens by end of july or mid august.. hope...if I just avg 1 lb a week tho I am looking at 14 more weeks.. I can do that too.. well all have a great weekend!!! Kim

You are doing a great job Kim. I love fiddling with the numbers too. And you never know about the one pound per week. A few days just a bit lower in cals or a few days with a little extra walking or something and you could lose a few 'spares'

Yesterday's deficit was 1000.

I tinkered with my fitday too, changed my lifestyle from sedentary (bed bound) to seated light work (I work in an office), this takes into account now the calories I will burn at work.

Woo - had a better day yesterday than I've had for ages. Slacked off on actually keeping track towards the end but I have a general idea.

My DH comes home at 1:45 and has his main meal around 1/2 hour later, which is a very difficult time for me. I'd like to be eating when he's eating but its a late lunch. Still have to work this out. And not pick when preparing meals. It all adds up and ruins my appetite.
The other thing is he is big on dessert. I wish that wasn't around. There was a time when I was off sugar - but even then I wasn't around it this much. My sympathies go to moms dealing w/food a lot.

i am a mom who is around alot of snack food.. and usually i can resist it.. so far.. certain "times" of the month are very tough.. but i am trying to staying stocked with lower calorie alternatives so i am not caught off guard.. like I bought an 8 pack of reeses.. each one is 80 cal... so if i have a real pb and choc attack i can have one with not too much guilt... those sf fudge pops are only 45... don't get me started on oreos.. I found a way to eat just one tho.. I get a 1/2 c of sf/ ff choc pudding and crush 1 oreo in it and top with 1 T ff w/c OMG !! really hits the spot for pretty low cal.. so I still incorp desserts when I really want them but make em my way.. I find when i eat choc it leaves an after taste i don't like so I really have to waant it!

I buy light ruffles very low cal.. so if I want some chips.. I can.. they are treats not every day eatings tho... I try to really limit my processed foods.. I want to try to add more legumes in my diet daily.. but higher in cal... gonna start having like bean and salsa cheese burritos(home made) for lunch .. a few days a week..

well bye everyone.. scales read down another pound.. hope it stays that way..(232) i officially WI on wed.. bye!! Kim

Well I lost one more pound, and today is the first day of logging EVERYTHING into Fitday. I know it will be slow in the beginning, but with time, hopefully it will get easier and I'll understand all of the figure talk better!

Congrats on the pound lost Michelle!!! Fitday definetly gets easier to use!

I had my weigh in today and I was down 3 pounds. So it's really only a 1 pound loss after my 2 pound gain last week!

I'm happy just to see the scale moving again!

I am wired for sound this morning. It's my assessment day and it's all good!

Keep it simple gals. Eat less, eat good, do your cardio and lift some weights!

Congrats to all who have lost....I do my WI on Mondays...hope to see a bit of change.

Deficit yesterday was 787 and that was with some wine so not too bad.

Hope everyone has a great week-end, we are sticking close to home for meals so that will help my calories!!!
