good morning ladies!!

Lisi, congrats!!! (well, not on the sampling of sweets) but being down 16 pounds!

Idealperson - HI!!! thanks for coming in!! we had a great tight group back then, didn't we? and we do again. Love your avatar!!

don't know if I've checked in since I've started my beloved summer/fall job at the private club. Been doing very well with staying OP with eating, despite the wonderful staff meals.

My bike went to mechanic for a pre-season check...and he found something that needed replacing, front fork seal. He said it was to be expected with the miles...so I'm not too bummed Been without the bike for THREE DAYS , argh, that's hard getting it back tonight, then we'll schedule when the seal work gets done.

Hello to everyone else, hope you have a great day!

Elyse I went off a bit yesterday too but I had a vacation day out of town. I didn't really over eat as much as ate things that normally I wouldn't. But I will also be watching my intake today.Isn't it funny how some of those little things just don't make our intake sheets. I didn't even count yesterday. But today I will be making better choices and working out too!
Holly I am glad the job is working out for you.
Lisa congrad! That is great!

Morning Ladies

Holly~ nice to hear from you, sounds like things are going good for you! Im happy for you that you have started your summer/fall job, I know it didnt come soon enough for ya,

I have done good staying OP this week, last night I did my elliptical after I did 45 minutes of Tae Bo and I have to tell you ladies, there is nothing cuter than a 6 yr old trying to do Tae Bo my DS wanted to try it with me and I had a hard time staying focused cause I was laughing most of the time after about 20 minutes then the "when is this going to be over mom" question started and I think he asked me that 6 times before it WAS over god I love that kid I am hoping for at least a 1 lb lost this week, it would be nice, I am not complaining that the last couple weeks have only been a 1/2 lb but a whole one would be even better

Elyse! Everyone has a "oopsie" day! Keep you chin up and dont be to hard on yourself, you are doing great!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, we was hoping for nice days but looks like the rain has prevailed once again, only nice out till tomorrow afternoon then it will hit and is likely to stay until at least next wednesday....(WHERES MR. )

angelinabtl-Have you heard of the Tae Bo kids video? He has a kids workout-you might try to find it on Ebay.

There is an edit page-when I made my ticker I "saved" the page where I made it in my "favorites" thing on the computer. That is the way I do mine.

Happy Friday Everyone! Good to "see" Aphil and Vermontmom still here-you are both awesome and full of good advice. Today I am down 1.5#, but weigh in is tomorrow morning. Yesterday was my day from ****...work was awful (I'm a probation officer-that says it all doesn't it), I backed into a police car in the parking lot, then I picked up my son from daycare after work, he fell asleep in his carseat on the ride home, when I went to get out of the car, I accidentally hit the lock button-you guessed it-locked him in there! I do have an extra key (in my purse) which is right in the front seat! So the policeman next door got my car door open-my son never woke up-so I laid him in on the couch and decided I would mow the front lawn...within 2 minutes I had hit the tv cable line -one that I was reminded of being there many times...ouch! Not a good night! Happy Friday-today has been better so far!

!!! I'm sorry to say me too, you described it so well...mowing over the cable, that's definitely something I would do also (especially that I don't particularly like that the boys watch TV so much...ooops! silly me, what did I just do? )

Idealperson, it is just so good to have you back!

Lori, your description of "Tae Bo at angelinabtl's House" was too funny! and cute

We also have that crummy weather system just HANGING over us...maybe a little sun this morning, but still so d*mn cool (38 degrees now) and showers expected from this afternoon until next WEDNESDAY!!! I'm not saving much gas by driving the car to work, instead of the bike.

Been so cool and rainy I've only had to cut the grass once so far.

Oh! turns out I have an admirer at work A foodservice delivery guy, I was nice to him last year, giving him a glass of water on hot days or a cookie or two...seems that when he delivered goods last week, he specifically asked for me the chef is having fun giving me a hard time about it Like, "hey Holly, if you're going to use the guy, at least get him to put the stuff away properly"

gotta start my day...have a nice Saturday!

Idealperson oh I have had days like that! You poor thing but afterwards you had to have a bit of a laugh? Sometimes laughing is easier than crying! And after all what can you do after its all over! Hoep your days have been better lately!
Holly I am not surprised you had an admirer your a very good looking chick! It most of made you feel good thats for sure. Glad your enjoying that job!
Angel congrads on the loss. Keep up the good work. Sounds like you enjoyed a good workout with your little one. Laughter must burn a few calories too.
This weekend I was off a little with my intake. I am going to work on that this week with better intakes an my workouts. I am setting a goal for myself this week and that is to not eat 3 hours before going to bed. I will hopefully pick up this as a routine longterm.
Have a great day everyone!

Idealperson-I did something similar a couple years ago-I was shaping the shrubs and bushes around the house-and accidentally "trimmed" through my husband's extension cord! He has never let me live it down!

Well I'm glad you mowers lived to tell us about your misadventures.
I'm doing great. Home in Wichita KS for a visit and to get some things done. I really miss you all didn't have cable until Sun eve and too tired or busy to get on. ME!!!!
Anyway I have to give the laptop into COMPUSA so although I have the PC here in Wichita, I will be without internet for a couple weeks. YIKES.
I'll find a way - at the library or something. Gotta go, the sooner I get this in the sooner I'll get it back.
Be good y'all.

Talking I'd Love To Join!

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading through the posts and I am impressed by the motivation and support. I have 56lbs to lose, I have been on the diet merry-go-round for years, and I want to make this the year I get off!

I am 38 and have tried the weight-loss groups and just about every diet book under the sun. I'm fed up with fads and spending my hard-earned money on groups where I can only get support from a weekly meeting. The only real success I had was in my early 20's, when I got to my goal weight by counting calories and stayed there for 6 years.

I have not decided how many calories I will give myself each day, or my exercise routine. I would appreciate any advice.
