Yesterday is over. I just went ahead and feed the hunger. So No sense trying to figure the calories. Something was up, but not dweling on it.

Today starting to keep the carbs to the one meal. Well just go with it and see what happens. Eggs may be my friend. lol

I know this will take a few days to get my system back in order and will be aware of the calories but not real concerned. once I have a handle on it then will establish my daily intake again. No worries been through this to many times, and not going to loss what progress I have made so far.

I think I might have figured it out (diet soda) the past 4 weeks I may have had a little at night but did not drink it all day. These past few days I have been guzzling it down 2 big bottles in 2 days. I am wondering if what I have heard is true. diet soda well make you fat. I have been living off this stuff practically since birth lol.

Wow lets try something new Water.

Having to re- group after these past 2 days and will get it together again.

Not going to let it get by me again.

Ok diet soda is gone. Trying to get through this craving/starving issue. It funny that I did something that caused this. So far going over my food I am still thinking soda and any added AS i have added in the smoothies. Wont be posting food, but tying to maintain, and eating as clean as I can.

Hi Surfnmom

Still hanging in there, I see!

Has reducing carbs helped you at all? I've found that eating fewer calories is even more effective when most of those calories are protein and fats. Carbs just kill me and when I dialed those back (especially at breakfast), I had more success. Failing that, pairing the carb with protein has been helpful too (the "home" version of the Egg McMuffin has been fantastic-- 300 cals and I am out the door in two minutes).

Good luck, and keep on truckin'!

haha...I used to LIVE off diet soda...actually for many many years. No..diet soda doesn't make you fat...as I was skinny drinking it. My friend used to tease me that if my veins were cut open, diet soda would come pouring out of them..

One thing I DO notice, since giving that crack-like addiction to diet soda up is that I don't have crazy cravings anymore...but then again, I eat low sodium, so it could be the combination of both of them. But this is the first time in my life (44yrs) that losing weight has actually been quite "painless". I don't crave junk anymore (ex-junk food junkie)...so maybe that's why some people say diet soda makes you fat...cuz of the cravings?

Anyhoot...7lbs down...only 43 to go!!! Your doing GREAT...keep on truckin!

Erinyes74 yep still hanging in there. Yes it really helps me keeping the carbs lower.

joyfulloser Oh you understand about that evil liquid stuff in the bottles LOL. Yea if its true about the AS turning into embalming fluid in the body then at my age 52 I am well preserved.

yep the diet soda is a freebie in calories but that sweet taste just causes me to crave. So I am cutting back to having a glass at dinner.

Well yesterday kept the carbs at dinner only. After today it should take care of the cravings again.
Need to pick up Lc stuff for my breakfast and lunch.

Moving slow today we had a long night of storms hate that, so hopefully will get a few things done and keep busy and the mind off food. Already know that hot wings are dinner tonight with what ever carbs I choose, but it sure seems a long time till dinner lol.

Going to miss the oatmeal in the mornings but hey can have it for desert tonight lol.

I haven't read this whole thread, but I think I belong here! I lost about 80 lbs last year, and as of last Friday, I have 50 and some change to lose to get to my "dream" goal of 137. Last summer I was hoping to get there by this summer, but I know now that's not going to happen (my weightloss has slowed waaaaay down).

For now, I'm shooting for my birthday (October 27), but I WILL have the rest of this weight off by the end of 2011!!

Today I am starting sft once again. Tomorrow re-set points and weigh in. After a week of discontent lol This is the easiest and cheapest way to go. The LC way is not good when you cant afford meat. At least I can buy cheap beans and brown rice and live off that lol. (and oatmeal)

I am kinda bummed about a lost week, but hoping the damage isn't to bad and can be fixed. Plus this can work in my favor. No turning back, No starting over, Its life and move on. and yes I can be happy that I am moving on and not drowning in self pity. No pity party here folks.

Also going to start painting again and see if I can get back into selling. Need to make a buck or 2. to buy Apples. Plus keep me busy. Will clean up my studio today and hopefully the urge to create will start to seep back in my bones.

There are still 43 Weigh in days till the end of the year so I can still make my goal and that is the Goal here 50 lbs this year. So onward

Got on the scale and yep 176.2 up 2.8 lbs. But it was no surprise. But as of yesterday back on track again so it should be back down by next week.

Reset my wp's today but will try to go strictly with the filling\power food list. and really keep an eye on portion size. The line has been struck in the sand, this is war lol.

What did I learn over the past week, don't fix what isn't broken. Stick with One plan and make it a lifestyle. It's OK to have a special treat or meal, but not everyday.

If I was at goal right now that 2.8 pounds would be easier to get off then over 40. So stay the course get it over with.
