Yesterday I played 18 holes of golf, and boy my endurance sucked. It took everything I had to finish but I did Didn't eat till 3pm at the golf course Had a fish dinner, ate half and brought the rest home for dinner. Munched on and off on little stuff last night but darn if I didn't wake up and grab 100cal snack in the middle of the night.
Not really bummed about the snack, it just messes with a good night sleep.
Have really been drinking the water, and no diet soda in the house. One big step in the right direction.
Will probable track the calories today now that I have settled down. May jump on the scale to get a Gage of where I'm at.
Got my blood work done, so anxious to see the results. Pretty sure everything is fine just want it confirmed.
Got word about going back to work, looks like a maybe a go next month so that will keep me busy and put some cash in the pocket
Won't fit in my old work clothes so will, begrudgingly buy a few things to get by with.

weight today is back down to 176.6 down from popping up to 179.6. So I am doing something right again. Shot I have already lost and gained and lost the same pounds so many times this month. Its a learning and grasping all the stupid stuff I put myself through.
Its like day and night how I feel now. I am so glad I did write it all down. It has really opened the eyes to see what I basically been doing my whole life. I can look back and see the good, that would normally get lost in all the failure.
I always focused on what didn't work and just keep looking, Now I have brought back the few things that were working and feel so great. and lost some weight.
Today's planed food
midnight raid 100cal cookie snack
Breakfast
oatmeal w/raisins w/1/2 cup plain yogurt mixed in 310 cal
lunch
2.1oz lean round steak 150cal
veggies with a little ranch dressing 150 cal
Dinner
mini pizza 420cal
Snacks
fit and active ice cream sandwich 150 cal
apple and peanut butter 200
Yesterday went good and then along came the midnight eating.
Got up twice and ate for a total of 480 calories to start my day today. I wish I could stop that. Or I am just going to have to go with the flow and except it and just keep adjusting my calories for the day.
Well not going to get all worked up over it (know were that gets me lol)
Melatonin has helped me to sleep through the night. You may want to give it a try. Oh and congrats on your recent loss...your headed in the right direction!
Thanks Joy good idea, I do have a bottle of melatonin got it out and set it in front of me to start tonight. This disruption in sleeping is a bummer and just to eat sugary crap not worth it lol rather get the good night sleep. Waiting for you to post that magic number, I think you have the whole board watching and cheering you on. Have a great day my friend
You got me thinking of other supplements I have, pulled out my 5-htp and will take one with breakfast and see if that helps anything.
I buy this stuff and don't take it cause I have a hang up on taking pills. they scare me lol. But will give these a try and give it a chance to see if I see a difference.

I am having one of those days too. Taking all my willpower not to eat everything that isn't nailed down. Not sure how one can still feel hungry when you KNOW you are physically full. It's dumb.
I used to have a horrible time tryin to get to sleep before 2-3am! I like melatonin cuz it's natural...it doesn't leave you feeling "drugged" and you have a really restful sleep.
I've also recently added "Cinnamon w/Chromium" that I bought from Walmart brand. It's really help to curb my appetite. I started it cuz my Mom says that since she started taking it, her sugar has been really good (she has type II diabetes)....so I thought...hmmm...stabilizes sugar, may be good for my appetite problems. My calories were creeping and creeping up and that's why I haven't lost these last few pounds yet! Another thing...the cinnamon has given me more energy.
As far as the 5 HTP...I used to be a bodybuilder a couple of years ago (a/k/a supplement junkie)...never tried that cuz I heard it messed with your hormones or something. I'd strongly recommend doing your homework on that one as it's not a "natural supplement", but some synthetic hormone (if I remember correctly).
I realized with my new journey that very little supplementation is needed. I actually don't even take a multi. I feel my diet is healthy enough whereas I don't need one. I DO, however, take B50, Vit E, Vit D3, CoQ10 (in the form of Ubiquinol), Magnesium w/Zinc as well as my newest addition, Cinnamon w/Chromium.
Joy yah I did some reading on the 5-htp and realized that's probably why I never took it. to many unknowns and side affects. I just don't like pills unless I know they are natural. well look for the "Cinnamon w/Chromium" Next time I go to wal mart. Thanks again for all your help.

bluemonday I wish I could figure that out too, the body is a mystery. I think mine is broken I want a re-fund or recall and fix it LOL.
I have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. Luckily I work at home on my own hours so my wonky sleep schedule doesn't hurt too much except when I have to be up for meetings. When I did have a 9-5 none of those supplements worked for me at all.
Well my eating yesterday ended at a whopping almost 4000 calories. Now looking at the list, there is not a heck of a lot of food on it. 15 items, that's it all high calorie junk. No wonder someone can say "I don't eat that much" Yep I didn't eat that much but man I can put on the pounds by eating less. lol
Needless to say it is a eye opener as far as how dense calories can be in pasta, garlic bread, drumstick icecream, bagel with butter, and a few more bad choices. Anyway that's out of my system.
Well late last night I was given the Dukan book (American version). Thinking I would never go Lc again after attempting last week, from what I read on the web.
I started reading it and have been reading it none stop. He explains a lot and is so much better then the Atkins diet. Even pointing out Atkins by name and why it doesn't work in the long term. If you never want to do Lc again the book is a good read and may give you the answer why Atkins failed.
Of course there is the issue, can I stick with it. His diet does have an ending in sight and going back to real life with food and carbs. You are not stuck eating Lc the rest of your life. And he explains this, Not the add carbs till you start gaining and that's how many you get for the rest of your life. No back to real and all food.
Does it or well it work. I guess the only answer is to do it and see.
Went to the Dukan website and re entered my weight which is 177.8 round to 178. I am to do 4 days attack, with a lose of 3 lbs. Then move into Cruise for 105 days with a loss of 30lbs and be at my true weight 145 on 9/3/11. Next Consolidation ending on 1/30/12. Yah they give you dates
A first for me in all my dieting adventures.
So today starts another adventure in the on going saga of "Dieting My Way To Madness" lol
So my attack phase is for 4 days but, may stay in attack for the 5 day's like it said when I was 180 no big tado for me.
Another plus on this diet and makes it much more to my liking, food choices with the added ff dairy.
in the attack Phase this means I will stick to it better. Also he promotes diet soda lol so hey why not.
So today is my day 1 on attack and will post food and weight. on each of the phases and well hopefully be able to stay with it to see if it does work.

Sm. piece of lean meat
ff yogurt w/sweetener and cinnamon
snacks of lean meat and ff yogurt
Oh I slept last night, thumbs up on the melatonin Thanks Joy for reminding me I had it.
Yesterday went good, no real need to list food, as it is all lean meat, ff milk and dairy. When I got the munchies just snacked on a piece of meat or the yogurt. Not to bad.
Saturday will put veggies back in and weigh to see if this is going to be worth sticking to, as I said before I like Lc, but it is the sticking part that is hard. Whichever way I decide I well think of it as cold turkey to get off sugar.
Didn't track my calories, but they should have been pretty low as I didn't gorge on the meat like my old days on Lc. Today well weigh out the meat and get an idea of the calories just to be on the safe side if I don't go past
Saturday.
Finished the book and really liked it. But as always the staying on it would be my hurdle. So one day at a time. And it is always a plus to get the processed sugary crap out of any diet.
Starting to get the bug to run again. Since I blew the knee last year it's been a touch and go with it so thinking about testing it this morning. My endurance is going to stink but I know from the past it won't take long to get it back.
Well to really see how this is going to work, against my grain lol will weigh daily to track the up's and down of this diet. This is in the book and I am going by the book no tweeks lol

Well I slept like crap last night still smiling tho. Had hot flashes some leg cramps and got up twice to snack on meat. I got more of a work out trying to sleep then during the day lol.
Had a little headache when I woke up, Probably due to the diet. Feeling ok so far and looking forward to adding the veggies in Saturday. Did I say that? Looking forward to veggies
