Default 50 Pounds This Year

Hi, I am going to lose 50 pounds this year. I have regained this after being at goal for many years. I hate it. At my age 52, I am really feeling it and did I say I hate it.

I stored my size 6 clothes, and have had to buy a few clothes to get by till I start losing. I refuse to spend a lot on clothes again so I have been hitting the second hand stores for cheap clothes. Thank goodness its winter and can bum around in sweats.

OK just got on the scale and gained 4 pounds since the new year. Now at 180.2 That's it I'm only 17 pounds from being back to where I was in 2004 when I lost the weight for the thousand time and got down to 130.

I am not going to spend this summer miserable and fat. I plan to post everyday and weigh in on Thursdays. Working on the grocery list and I can see a lot of veggies in my future.

Arighty looked around to see what a 130 pound women's calorie intake should be. 1400 calories to maintain.
So If I get it in my mind that am already there and eat How I should eat, at the weight I should be. then I should naturally go down to the 130.

If I have to play head games with myself to get this off then so be it. But it makes since to me.

Thank you Loveleeme
Saw your other posts around the boards. I'm going to stay as close to a 1000 calories as possible but give my self up to 1400 if needed.

today's meals are going to be more then likely oatmeal and egg white sandwich. which I do like both. The shopping list is growing but need to buy cheap. Going to my local Aldies store, there fruits and veggies are the cheapest in town. Will start shopping sells next week. Really should save a lot staying away from pre-packaged foods.

You sound very determined and I like that! You already know what to do, so all you have to do is put the plan in action and work it!

Stick to it and you'll be FABULOUS this summer. Right back into your old sizes!

Woohoo! Get hype!

That's my goal for this year as well. I'm praying it doesn't take all year though. Good luck on your journey.

YOU CAN DO IT!!

DEDIKAYTED Thank you, need all the cheering I can get. But your right on the determination. I always hit a point in my weight then will loose it, Then I let the mind set slide and of course the weight gain. But this time I am pretty sure it was going through menopause that caused the problem. It was like pms for over 2 years.

jigglefree we can do this. and I don't think it will take the whole year. I was looking at the calender and we do a float trip every year. 22 weeks away. So I figure (it always looks good on paper) that 2 pounds a week is 44 pounds. So I am really hoping or should I say planing on buying a swimsuit this year. I am not going to feel like the beached whale like I did last year. Plus I am going to hit the tanning places before I go. Yep Im going to do this.

ElizabethG grats on the 45 loss, and thank you for the encouragement.

Have you ever notice how time fly's most of the time, until you start a diet. lol
This has been the longest day so far. I know cause im thinking about food alot today and figuring things ahead of time. lol Will be glad when this becomes second nature again and I just move on.

bf --oatmeal with milk 230
ln--tuna wrap 220
sn---sf jello 5
dn--large salad 280
sn--yogart 100
total cal 835

have no clue as to what dinner will be, probable a TV dinner. since i am going out and about and wont want to cook.

I plan on losing about the same amount of weight. I was down to 180's at the end of the summer and I want to be well below that by the start of this summer.

envelope grats on the weight loss so far. I t seems that there are a few of us in about the same range. we all can do this and get it done with once and for all.

Anyone else out there? lets all post and cheer each other on.

Got through the night with out the midnight raid. So just stopping that will cut back on the calories. But I am prepared just in case saving those calories.

Right now I am obsessing over the shopping list, I know from the past if I don't have something in the house to munch on if the snack attack hits, then I will cop the "what the ****" attitude and grab anything. I already feel safer with the choices I have in the house now.

Ok will check in later
