Hi all, lovely to see this thread getting busier.

I also noticed I pee'd a lot when I first started (sorry tmi). lol

Have my weigh in tonight (7.30pm). Feel anxious even though watching my scale drop during the week. I'll list my SW goals in my sig and really hoping I can sneak into the 16 st range tonight (I weighed 17st 3.5lb last week) might be a bit of a big ask though but we'll see.

Topsy hope your tests come back a good as possible. I have to have thyroid, diabetes and cholesterol due to meds I'm on (for Bipolar), they can spike blood sugars and affect things - also cause weight gain and increased appetite .

Thanks for the good luck, you're doing great at 4 stone loss that is amazing so keep doing what you're doing for sure.

Moo68 I must admit it surprised me as would expect that if I was on a low carb diet but didn't expect it with this.

Looking forward to weighing in, am buying a 6 week thing to keep e motivated / committed

I'm a snacker and I love jelly sweets and crisps.

Has anyone found any sugar free jelly sweets that don't upset your stomach?

Or low syn crisps?

Thanks

Purple thank you hun, I have an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), depression, anxiety , prolonged PND ( my little boy is now 3 half) and psychosis. I have been on anti psychotics for just over 3 years and have gained 8 stone on them ( but have lost 4 yay ) as they have made it harder for me to lose weight and increased my appetite so you are not alone, they are also looking into Biploar with me.

I just bought a 12 week block to keep me motivated and to keep me on track... it was a birthday pressie from my parents

Moo hun i Buy aldi cheese puffs they are 88 cals a bag so are 4.5 syns each and they hartley sugar free jellies... they are on offer at sains at the mo 3 for £1 or 342 i cant remeber what ... but I got 6 on sun when we went shopping.

You can also make your own jelly sweets... 3 syns for the whole lot....
2 packets of sugar free jelly
2 sachets of gelatine
1 muller light ( I used strawberry jelly and strawberry muller light)

To half a pint of boiling water add the jellys and the gelatine mix well
Put 2/3 of jelly in flat container
put in fridge until set ( took 20 mins )
Whisk muller light into rest of the jelly
Once bottom layer has set add the mixed mullerlight mixture on top of the set jelly
Put back in fridge to all set

They were a bit weird but for 3 syns worth it

I have had a good day food wise so far

xxxx

Your welcome I am a snacker ( is that a word!) too

Hope everyone is having a good day?

Just tried an aldi Greek coconut and vanilla yog was yummy and free too We do a lot of our shopping at aldi as with just hubby working money is a bit tight especially this month as he has had 2 week off with just ssp as he hurt his back and he works in a warehouse lifting , wrapping doing pallets all day so couldn't go in

Have a day of house work and cleaning Boo hiss... my carer ( mum today) is here to help me though bless her.

Washing on washing ups done about to start hoovering should burn some cals or a bit of body magic lol

have to wait in all day today as i get my ant psychotic injection every other weds. cant wait till I can drive again.... have re applied for my licence as voluntary surrendered it almost 3 years ago when I went in a mother and baby unit and have been in 2 other psychiatric hospital since and haven't been " stable" enough for me to apply to have it back... but last came out of hospital end Nov last year so have reapplied for it then I hope I can go to the clinic on thurs because I will be able to drive to it rather than having to wait in all day on a wed for my injection.

Sorry for the long post!

Topsy your history is tough going - must've been so hard for you and family but you sound like you're doing a lot better and to be in control of your weight too. Really hope you get your licence back. Mine is on year review which is due around end of summer if I remember rightly. I'm hoping it'll get extended as I'm stable at the moment, my moods have cost me my degree though had to finish off with a diploma due to the triggers.

I've gained 6 stone in 3 years on anti psychotic too (they've been changed during this time and dose up'd more recently). Finally feel like I can face the challenge of weight loss though. I have a little job just a couple of days a week and possible overtime. it's going ok at the moment so added in SW to help me get my weight back down. Feels almost impossible to look at how much I have to lose but anything is a bonus at the moment.

I weighed in last night and lost 5.5lb! first week so I know it won't always be that much but good to know I was on the right track.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

^^ Wish there was a like or thank you button on this forum

thank you hun ... am doing a lot better thank goodness as its been a very up and down time but am much more stable at the mo... yay. Think SW has helped me so much obviously with loosing the weight... which has given me more confidence.. but even at group ( I go every fri) i speak out more and even done the shop and raffle when the lady who normally does it was on holiday.. I know they are only little thing but to me they are huge i could never have done them a year ago!

keep me posted on your licence hun and FX they just renew it again sorry its cost your your degree. Mental health problems are hard.

well done on the job hun and overtime sounds good... If you are up to it... don't push yourself sweetie. i have just applied for voluntary work at my local action for children center and am filling all the police check forms and the occupational health ones at the mo.

Sorry you put on weight to on anti psychotics... I have been on several ones am now on a depo injection every 2 weeks. plus anti depressants , anti anxiety meds, sleeping tablets and dizapam a real mixture!!!

Well done on your weight loss thats fab You should be proud of yourself.

You're very welcome, mental health issues are so much more common than we realise.

A big well done for taking over the shop at your group that is a big step! And glad your weight loss is lifting your confidence, I can relate to that from previous losses.

Really hope your meds decrease in time, or the diazepam and sleeping tablets are as and when you need them. I have sleeping meds too as struggle at times which then triggers my moods.

Hope you have a good weigh in this week too and great to have someone on here to share our journey with .

Just bought some Twinnings Salted Caramel Green tea.. it's lovely!! defo recommend it.

Yep they are unfortunately hun

Yep I am definitely gaining more confidence slowly which is a nice feeling

I cant sleep without my sleeping tablets and even then sometimes struggle. But the Diazapam I am using less and less which is good.

Yep Its nice to have people to share this journey on with... I am in this for the long hall

Will look out for the tea.

Hope you have had a good day hun I have been asked to be god mother to one of my best friends twins

xxxxx
