Hi.
I'm on week seven of IP and all has been good. The last 10 days or so I have noticed that the restricted products are giving me cravings. I usually have mine mid afternoon because we have a later supper. I feel fine until the restricted then I feel like I could eat my entire weeks supply all in one sitting! I was thinking about replacing with the non restricted for a few weeks so I don't have to think about them. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone else skip the restricted products and how has it worked?

OMG yes!
I was fine with restricteds for about 6 months and then all of a sudden all they did was induce cravings.
I'm not having them at all (or I have 2 whole eggs in place of a restricted, which don't seem to cause me the same issues).

The restricted is there to give us a "treat". We don't have to consume them. Just have 3 nons instead.

It is only as hard as we make up our minds it is going to be.

Curious if anyone has experienced any kidney issues while doing IP?

So, last time I did IP, I believe dill pickles were unlimited and not to be counted toward your 4cups of veggie. Is that correct? Confusing because they are on the "select" list. Then again, I counted romaine lettuce as part of my 2 cups. I'm not doing that this time, though I had great losses then. Help!

I'm not sure when you did IP last but they've been "select" since I started reading here. Many coaches made "house rules", basically changing the sheet. Romaine is lettuce and is counted as lettuce.

Default Jumping in...

Hello all! I have been lurking here for over a month and decided I needed to register and join in the conversation. I started April 12th using Health Wise products through my chiropractor. Down 21.2 so far with a weigh in tomorrow morning. We won't talk about how much more there is to go
I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who takes the time to share their experiences, veterans and newbies alike. I have already learned so much from everyone. Please know that your knowledge is invaluable and that you inspire people!

WI #12, down another 1.1lbs. Still fighting a slowdown, but hoping things pick up again as I catch up on sleep (school year ends tomorrow, but who's counting, right?)

Also, I think I have one of the really good coaches, and the stories here about the bad ones help keep me grateful for it ... and gratitude is probably good for weight loss! I told my coach today that I wasn't sure how much longer I'll be able to swing IP financially, and she told me that she's there whether I buy the products or not, and suggested I replace a packet with cheaper protein (she suggested the 1 whole egg/3 egg whites combo.)

I have a history of stones so I was worried but so far so good. I know my urologist told me previously that opi didn't need to change my diet but had to drink a lot of water to flush my system. I'm definitely doing that.

That is a great coach. I saw my coach's order sheet today. I knew they had a mark up but it is 100%! I think more people would do the diet if they didn't charge so much! When people ask me about the diet, that is the only part I hope they don't ask me about.

Hey Murphypuppy: No cal/carb/fat mojito mocktail = seltzer with fresh mint & lime juice muddled in the bottom & as little stevia, splenda, whatever, that you can get away with.

You're Welcome...

WELCOME! Glad you jumped in to join us.

Only a few people have mentioned specifically that their clinic was using "alternative" products instead of IP, but following IP protocol. I think (hope) they are charging far less per box than IP products, though at least one person on here was being charged the same as IP.

It's great to have the benefit and support of a coach as well as the accountability. If you ever get to the point where you are rolling along and don't need that, you can buy HealthSmart products (and other excellent alternatives) direct from Nashua Nutrition and other on line sites... Unlike IP products which sure would be nice if we could buy on line!

Look forward you seeing you in our chats and other threads!

NSV- I was getting a shirt from work, we all bought shirts to support a friend with cancer who is going to San Diego in November for the 60 miles in 3 days walk. When I asked what the biggest size she had was she said XL and held it up, it looked huge so I bought a Large I haven't worn a large in forever, many of my shirts are 3xl... then someone else gave me some hoodies that are large and they fit. Yay for large!

Congrats Amber! I think the rule of thumb is one dress/pant size for every 10 lbs if I remember. Great NSV!

I haven't changed a lot on pants size, my butt/hips are not budging as fast as the rest of me. I was wearing 18s-22's now I'm wearing 16's solidly, 18's are too big. But my shirt sizes have mad a giant leap, I've lost quite a lot in the waist and enough in the breast area.

Ironically I had a breast reduction before starting IP and wish I had lost the weight first. Now when I start to lose, and the girls go first, I'm like "Wait-- I already reduced there! NO MORE!!"... Shoulda had a gut/butt reduction instead as there always is more to lose there! LOL
