Got my Sauna suit in the mail today!! I just had the most intense workout ever! I have never sweat so much in my life! and in just a simple 30 minute cardio! I'm so stoked about this!
I'm never taking this thing off---actually I am, it's disgusting!! ....but effective!
Thanks guys! That makes me feel much better
I should be getting a new scale tomorrow for my birthday. Hubby says "but... that's a lame present" and I say "well, you can always get me two presents?"
Everyone: I got an email from Catherine's hubby Austin. I don't want to be anouncing something I shouldn't but I just want you all to pray for Catherine and Austin. Catherine had stopped taking her high blood pressure meds because of the pregnancy and her blood pressure spiked very high causing her to have a miscarriage. She is not feeling well right now to say the least and I just wanted you all to know and perhaps if you pray, say a prayer for Catherine and Austin. He said that she wouldn't want people making a fuss over her but she wanted someone to know what was happening and I was hoping that when she comes back we won't accidentally bombard her with good intention questions on how she is feeling and stuff not knowing what has happened. Hopefully I'm making sense and not rambling. Anyway, say a prayer for them.
I think I will do personals in a separate post.
Blessings,
Annie
Nancy: I'm sure that your friend is glad to have you. Maybe you can be an inspiration to her as you are to all of us.
Kimmie: I love your avatar photo. You are so pretty. Don't worry about keeping up. Post when and what you feel like. If you feel you want to post to everyone maybe take notes. lol. that's what I do. Hugs.
Debbie: I'm impressed. I need to walk more so maybe I'll break out the WATP tapes soon. I know I keep saying that but I need to get up even earlier to do them.
Val: Glad that you got all of your babies tucked in their new homes. What a great feeling.
Heather: Hi girl.
Kayley: Sorry the DL thing was so stressful and so much work. I hope it goes more smoothly next time you are there.
Sharon: My eating is really tiny amounts right now. I like it that way cause I am quite full on very little. I do waste a lot though. Kind of like from one extreme, eating too much to another wasting. I try to save things for another time or share them with my DH. Work is still stressfull and one of the other Vocational Consultants quit yesterday without any notice. So, I think that just upped the stress level a bit. lol.
Carol: I hope all of your nice dress pants turn out lovely.
Emily: So happy that you are enjoying nursing. I really admire people who can care for other people. I know that wouldn't be the job for me. I guess I am too selfish. Hugs to you.
Jeannie: Congrats on gettin down to 223. I can only imagine being that weight. Congrats to your daughter too. Nice to have a partner working with you at weight loss.
Donna: Hi there.
Battle: I love that you are seeing the beautiful you now that the rest of us have seen for a long time! Glad that the interviews are going well.
Brenda: Woo Hoo. congrats on another -6.5 pounds. You are doing so well.
Dusty: Make sure that you are drinking plenty of water when you use that special suit!
HeatherDW: Happy Birthday sweetie. I hope all of your dreams come true!
Ammi: I friend. I hope you are well and just busy enjoying life. Wasn't today your day with Darren to snuggle without computers and games? I hope you enjoyed it.
Annie – Thank you so much for letting us know about Catherine. That is really devastating. My prayers are definitely with both of them.
Brenda - Way to go!!! 6.5 pounds is fantastic!
Battle – I would love to see you on tv! That is so great that you felt good about how you looked! That is how it should be.
Jeanne – That is so great that your daughter is getting healthy too! Aww – thanks for saying nice things about my posts.
Emily May – I also love seeing posts from you! If your uniform is looser than something is definitely happening with your body.
Sharon – How cold is cold? Our temp was 18 degrees the other morning, and I am not talking Celsius. Of course I am sure Catherine has us totally beat. I also say submit it! You know, if you want to be a writer you are going to have to learn to live with rejection. It happens to the best of them! Never forget that JK Rowling was turned down by several publishing houses before someone picked up the first Harry Potter.
Kayley – DMV’s are crazy! I hope you can get it all sorted out tomorrow.
Tina – Figuring out what to eat is definitely an evolution. You will soon start to know approximately how many calories you need in a meal and what combination of protein/fiber/etc. works for you. That is so great that your daughter is helping to cook for you.
Debbie – I hope you are feeling better and your TOM is easing up a bit. I hate it when it makes you feel like you can’t do what you want to do!
Dusty – I want to give you a word of caution on the sauna suit. They cause you to sweat a lot not because you are necessarily upping the intensity of your workout, but because you are heating up your body. You lose a lot of water and sweat out a lot and you need to be extremely careful to rehydrate yourself afterwards.
Heather - I hope you enjoy your present, but not too much. Let it have a rest day every once and awhile!
I am having a bit of a dilemma about my workout schedule. I am absolutely loving my dance classes, but I really need to get my weight training back into my routine. I did about 25 minutes on Monday after my dance class. I really felt pathetic because I couldn’t life anywhere near what I was lifting before. Part of this was the fact that I haven’t done it in a few weeks, but another part was that I was pretty tired after my class. I love lifting and feeling strong! Tonight I was way to wiped out after class and I didn’t get out of work in time to do it before. Plus I worry that if I do it before then I won’t be able to dance as well as I want to. I don’t know what to do! I just can’t stomach the idea of going to the gym twice in one day – that is just too much for me. Maybe I can get some videos and do body weight stuff at home in the mornings? I know that Jillian has some dvd’s.
The thing is, I was sitting there thinking about this and I had one of those moments when I realized how far I have come from how I used to think about exercise. The fact that I feel so torn about this is just miles from where I used to be. I know I will figure it out eventually.
Oh – Sharon asked about pictures. I actually just took some because I am participating in the Biggest Loser challenge going on right now here on 3FC (hence the TBL-Black in my profile). You can check out the pictures here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...7&postcount=62
Just a very quick one, Heather dw, I looked in my book (written by a British 'diet queen' with nutritionists & other specialists) & for your weight, depending on your age, you should be taking in (to keep your body 'ticking over'-BMR) AT LEAST 2,500 if you're 18-29 or 2,000 if you're between 30-59 year's old, I'm sure you are too young for the last one!! lol So Battle's number of 2,000 looks pretty good. I hope you enjoy your scales, one year I MADE hubby buy me a Dyson vacuum cleaner for my birthday, I WANTED it AND NEEDED it!! What better present than something which you want, need & will make you happy too!! Just don't over-use the scales!!lolxxxxxx
Battle, GOOD FOR YOU!!! I'm so happy that you're happy.xxxx
Nancy, thanks I never knew JK Rowling took a few knocks before being published! I knew Stephen King did (WHY???When I look at some of the drivel which is 'writen' by 'celebrities' grrr) I LOVED your pics, are you posting them on the 'normal' picture page? I have to confess you were very big in your 'before' pictures, I can't imagine someone as full of life as you ever being that big! I hope you're not offended, I really mean it that you are looking good now!!! I'm pleased that there are such obvious paybacks for your hard work, both in diet AND exercise (something I really should be doing)xxxxxx
xxxxsharon
Annie, thanks for letting us know about Catherine... my thought are with her and Austin like now, what an awful thing to happen to them. I hope she finds the strength to get through this. God bless her…
Well here I finally am to write a post hoping to catch up with everybody. My inbox is finally empty and I can sit here guilt free to write.
Annie – ah yes last night was my cuddle fest with Daren and it was lovely thank you It’s official now that Wednesday and Saturday nights are the best nights of my week
Thank you for passing on the news about Catherine. Poor woman definitely hasn’t had things easy, and now this. I’ll definitely keep her and her hubby in my prayers.
Sharon – I’ll catch you on MSN later. In the mean time, do you think Dysons are value for money? My friend had one and once when I was helping her clean her house I used the Dyson and I thought it was rubbish. Yes they are right saying they don’t lose their suction, but then they don’t have much suction to begin with! So do you think her one was faulty? Or are they all like that?
Nancy – WOW, I knew you have lost a lot of weight, but I didn’t realise just how much. They say a picture paints a thousand words, and your before and current pictures just do that. You should be so proud of yourself and how far you have come. You look amazing
Good for you for not heading for the comfort food when you had that student loan info, and of course hearing about Heath Ledger. It’s weird isn’t it how we can get so upset about people we’ve never met. I actually cried when I saw on the news about his death, how daft am I! It is a tragedy though, he was so young and so talented. How I’ll watch a film of his again and not cry I don’t know
Heather DW – hope you have a lovely birthday Your hubby sounds like mine, he wouldn’t like to buy me something like scales for my birthday. If it’s something I really wanted, then I’d have the same reply as you, buy me two things
Dusty – hello and a belated from me. That’s good news that your sauna suit arrived and that you did indeed work up quite a sweat in it. Do you have to make sure you drink plenty as well to make sure you don’t dehydrate?
BattleAx – OK, I’m a bit thick when it comes to all things financial, what’s the terrible thing that could happen because of the high consumer debt? Do I need to be worrying?
That’s so wonderful that when you saw yourself on TV you actually thought you looked great and pretty! That is a wonderful achievement, now you see what we can all see!!
How did it go at the restaurant, did you manage to stay pretty much OP considering you were very hungry before you went there?
Thanks for the congrats on my weight loss and for your kind words about me not giving up. I don’t know about me being an inspiration still, more like I’m a good example of what not to do
Brenda – wow a 6.5 lb loss that is brilliant news. I bet you are still smiling about it!!
Debbie – is TOM still around giving you grief? I hope you have still been able to exercise, but if not, don’t worry about it, you’ll catch up again once TOM has gone again
Tina – What is it that you’ve been told about eating protein with each meal? If it helps to make you feel fuller for longer I might have to try it!
Donna – my daughter and step daughter are both 16, and as much as I tell them otherwise sometimes, I know I’ll have that empty nest syndrome when they do leave home. We’ll have to get a dog and then wait for grand children to spoil
Jeanne – that’s wonderful that you are staying OP and that the lbs are coming off. I bet you will be thrilled to be in the 2 teens for the first time since 1999, not far to go now
How old is your daughter and how much weight does she have to lose? My daughter is 16 and she’s dieting with me too. She needs to lose about 50 lbs. So far in 2 weeks she’s lost 1 lb. She’s a bit despondent about it, but I think once she starts working out she’ll see better losses. Congrats to your daughter for doing so well
Emily – thanks for the welcome back. I love your avatar photo, you look great and very very happy.
I’m glad you are loving your job, and hey, I don’t think you need to worry about exercising outside of work seeing as being in work is so physically demanding! You are obviously doing something right seeing as your uniform is loose now!!
Kayley – I hope all is sorted now for you to get your chauffeur’s license. on getting that job driving the van for severely handicapped children. That will be far more rewarding than working for Fashion Bug I’m sure.
Woohoo on losing those 6 lbs, that’s an awesome result
Yes it was terrible news about Heath, I wonder when they are going to know for sure if he took his own life, or what happened. The latest I heard was that pneumonia could factor into his death.
Valerie – that’s good news that you have moved the horses back and that they and you are much happier with the arrangements. You asked yourself why you moved them to that smaller not so nice place in the first place, so you’ve got me curious too, why did you??
Kimmie – last week I was in the same boat as you, I was staying OP but I just didn’t exercise enough. This week I am making sure I do at least half an hour a day, well at least til the weekend when I have a rest from it. I do an assortment of DVD work outs, and have a Gazelle rider and an exercise bike too. I chop and change depending on my mood as to which thing I do. Could you get some work out DVDs so that you don’t have to go walking in the cold, or have to drag yourself to the gym?
Alison – thanks for the congrats on my 2 lbs lost How are you doing with drinking lots of juice drinks now that you have your new juicer?
Great news about your 5 lb loss I bet since you posted that you have lost that lb more to take you to 50 lbs lost, It won’t be long now until you are out of the 300s forever!!!
Cyn – make sure you get up from that cubicle and go see the sun like you said you would. It can’t be good to stay cooped up like that and only moving to go to the loo. No wonder you aren’t feeling well and feel like you are stuck in a rut
Carol – sorry you didn’t see a loss on the scales this week. Sounds like you are OK with it though and understand how your body works. So that you are right and that you reach your mini goal when you next weigh in!
Ratkitty – I don’t think anybody expects a personal reply, especially if they haven’t asked you anything specific. Don’t worry about missing anybody and upsetting them, I don’t think anybody here is going to hold it against you I know I won’t You just post when you want to, and write what you want, don’t let it become a chore. You are supposed to enjoy coming here
Angie – you have certainly been working some mean hours. I hope that calms down soon and that you get some R & R
Thanks for saying I am missed when I don’t post. I miss being able to ‘talk’ to you all, so I’ll keep coming here as much as I can. I’m on top of my emails now, so I should be regular here again now
Johnnie – one of the most brilliant NSVs is to start wearing clothes in a smaller size, so to you for getting into that first layer in the drawer. You are well on your way to that second layer now
Patti – how are you now, I hope that virus has eased up on you. Well done on still exercising even though you are poorly, now that’s what I call motivated
Ok well a big to anybody I missed. I’m going to get some lunch now, my tummy is rumbling. Take care all and I’ll be back soon
Hi all, thanks for the advice on the Sauna suit and keeping up with my water. I do make sure to drink water after and of course, your body is craving it so you have to! I felt very light weight afterwards and very much like I had been cleansed through my whole body. It an amazing feeling! I'm so glad I finally found a company that makes those suits big enough for me. ugh!
thanks!
I think we are going to eat at Macaroni Grill. They have their nutritional info posted online so I can at least see how many I'm eating. I can also order a dish and just eat half now and half another day
