Oh dear Sarah Ann - you MIL is saboutaging your diet, isn't she? Look on it as a reward though for all the crap that has happend to you. That is probably how she looks on it too! I used to get a veggie suet pudding thing from Holland & Barrett. I was in a big tin and probably enough for a family of 4 or at least 2 very greedy people. I did make it last 2 days though (under Mum's watchful eyes). I am not sure if they make it now and I doubt it would be any less calorific than your MIL's, darn it! When the westher gets colder we shall be thinking of warming puds (sweet and savoury!).

The Frnchman at work has been shopping, bought the Evening Primrose oil liquid I asked for and given me a present of Oral B Brush aways. I suppose I could feel offended!!! However, these are great. You put one on your finger and brush your teeth with it if you have no toothbrush handy - like at work. They are disposable and although cannot clean as well as a brush and floss they do make your mouth feel good!

Good evening to you all

I am full up just ate two mushroom burgers and a massive plate of broccoli annnnnnnnnnnnnd before that i had a slice of toast with lurpak on ooh how lovely was that.

You know bigbird I get exactly the same thing. Oh you dont' need to lose anymore your slim now. You will be look skinny etc etc. I had originally wanted to get to nine stone 7lbs but I am now nine stone 10lbs so have decided to go for a nine stone target. Which is reasonable I am a little thing not blessed with height unfortunately. Just carry on you do your twenty and I will do my ten. Mind you I could be at it for another two years to get that off!!

Well done to you all I got very lazy this week I've hardly moved although this morning was my first day back at work since last Friday and I walk a good bit of the way and it was lovely to walk. I went to the GP last night and he said my chest is clear and it is my throat and ears. So tomorrow I shall head back to the gym.

Lynn you foxy chick. I was looking at shoes myself this evening but I had to stop myself I have so many and my Conor is going to Barcelona with the school in February and its a bit pricey.

Enjoy the rest of your evening everyone

LOL! I didnt explain that very well did I/ Becasue it's not weighted, as in weights attacched to machine,s your muscles are unlickely to bulk, just sort of tone and stretch out, and the resistance you use, is based on your weight, and how much you work it, not the weight of actual weights...does this make it a bit clearer? Probably not, but that's how I understood it...and any exercise you do will make your body shape change, I realise this, so in effect, any movement we do, anytime anywhere will help us in the long run....ok, now I can see all my spelling mistakes, but I need to go and start humping wood into the shed, as I had a delivery this morning and the men told me to let it sit in the sun all day to dry out, I would have had it done by now....but I follow orders for the most part

I had a surprisingly good run today, about 5.5 miles (the longest since Berlin) on a slightly hillier route than normal. I felt far more comfortable than I have done since the cold hit before Berlin so I might finally have shaken it off in time for Amsterdam. I can hope! I don't like this running in the dark thing though, the pavements round here aren't particularly even and I nearly tripped a couple of times. And as for running in the park, I tried that yesterday and then realised there aren't any lights. Not fun when 2 dogs started chasing me!

Also bought another size 10 top yesterday, I could get used to this

Work do last night, I had a bit of wine and some sandwiches, but nothing too nasty. Nothing that stopped me getting out of bed for my run anyway.

Hello all!

I'm feeling a little below-par and not particularly positive about my healthy eating scheme for the next few days.

Yesterday I think I was fighting off DF's cold. Today I am feeling a little bit better and I'm going to the gym and kickboxing.

The 'rents are coming tonight and we are shopping on Friday and Saturday and on Sunday I have a 10K run in Hyde Park, it's that Nike run London one. I'm in a green Norf t-shirt!!

Mum is hoping to get her MOTB outfit at the weekend and Dad wants to buy his suit, so it sounds like a day in M&S!!! I also want to buy DF a Thomas Pink shirt, but I don't know quite how expensive they are

I found a reduced one It was £45 plus a fiver postage and it was the style I was after too! Not sure about the colour, it's a bit deep, but I bet it'll look sexy anyways!

Helen your post reminded me of my running the dark issues.

I decided to run Thursday after my class (I'm in grad school) and my school is right on the ocean. I wore my running stuff to school and we got out about 6 so off I went. I had done about 4 miles and it was starting to get dark....then I saw rats. Like not one rat, multiple rats frolicking in the bushes.

I almost had a STROKE, and I wasn't that close to a path back to my car. I ended up running on something like a highway back to my car. Annoying because I felt like I could have run at least 2 more miles but I was way too panicked. No more running after school for this chick.

My 10k is Monday and I have one concern. I need new sneakers, I'm wondering if I should wait until after the race or get them this weekend. I'm thinking I should wait, probably not too bright to run in brand new ones???

It depends - if they're a style you've used before it can be done (I ran a 10k in brand new trainers once without any problems), but if they're a new style it's best leaving them until after the race. Some people say that even ones you've tried before aren't best for racing in, but I guess it all depends what you're trying to achieve in the race. For me, the race I wore the new shoes in was one I wasn't intending to run fast because of the weather anyway, so I was happy that they'd be good enough to get me round. And they were better than the alternative which was my old ones which had died midway round a half marathon the weekend before. I knew that the old ones would rub, at least the new ones had a chance of not rubbing, and even if they did rub they wouldn't have been worse than the old ones if you see what I mean.
