Rosie:

I just started visiting a nutriotionist last week. I had a scare the week before because my blood pressure went up to 160/123. I was in the hospital for two days waiting for it to drop. The thing is that I am supposed to drink my medicines everyday, and I just start doing it but after some weeks I stop.

There are not any symptoms, and I feel fine so I just forget to drink the pill!

Now, loosing weight is much more than just looking good... which I wan't! but it is also a health issue.

Today is my first week, but I need the energy/commitment to follow though!

I have my fingers crossed

Hurray Scuzin!!!!

That's great news!! I'm happy for you. Getting over a plateau is always hard. I've been going back and forth between 150 and 148 for MONTHS....but I finally got to 147......shocked me! I'm really am happy for you!! Keep up the great work!

Jo--OMG...your BP is high.....and here I worry about mine!! The last I check it is back down to normal range but a week before it was climbing up to 140/90 which is too high for me. Don't worry...we'll do this together, get ourselves healthy and keep our pressures down!!!

RK--Hello to you and I know that we can do it this time without having to start over. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I haven't done my exercises yet...but I will. Oh...I did see that the weather is suppose to be in the 100's this weekend....so gotta drag James to the coast to where it would be cooler!! Or up the mountains......

Anyway..I will post later tonight when I get day 3 done.

Excercise: 60 minutes (Day 2)
Sleep: 10:25pm (Day 0)

At least it was before 11pm but my goal is by 10pm...!

I am meeting some friend for dinner today so I hope I can get away with just a salad! Wish me luck...

Is it too late to start in with you guys? I think I want a "no *bad* days" challenge...where I stay on plan for 21 straight days.

TLS - You can start anytime. You and I have the same challenge, BTW. I started Weight Watchers at home,so my challenge is to stay OP. So far I had to start over once, but this week is going well. I need to double check my posts for the days...

OK - day 4 is complete!
So good to see the 21 day challenge catching on with people. I like it because 21 days just seems so manageable. Sometimes it just seems overwhelming to think about all the changes i need to make to be healthy. Taking it 21 days at a time really helps....

I am back for the 21 day challenge. I am going to try to do a double. Exercise AND water. I have not been doing enough of either. So for day 1, today, I walked 2 miles and drank 48 oz. I also did 2 hours of lawn mowing, but only 30 minutes of that was a push mower. I washed 3 sets of windows and took down and re-hung curtains, so that up and down the ladder was probably a big one too. Now, I don't know what I can possibly do tomorrow to top all of today's exercise.

Way to go everyone with your challenges!

I'm back! I had a wonderful time at Crater Lake, ate a bunch of stuff I shouldn't have but I'm back on track already . I have no idea how much water I had for the last few days. There was no real way to measure. BUT simply the fact that I made a sincere effort at drinking some while I was on a roade trip and not sticking solely to soda is an accomplishment so I think I can count those for day 15, 16, and today, 17.

Welcome TLS!!!

Day 2 down..I walked 2 miles and drank plenty. I have to start measuring my water though.
I bought a Sweatin' to the Oldies tape for 25 cents today...just for a laugh. Didn't even look at it yet, but the music sounds good. I figure even if I walk to the music it is worth a quarter. LOL

keep up the good work...Sue

Day 19!
I also took some measurements. Since starting to lose weight I have lost 3.5 inches around my chest, about 2.75 - 3 inches off my middle, and 2.5 off my hips! No longer can I think that I'm not SHOWING progress .

Great job sticking to plan RK

Welcome back Sue and great start

I did okay over the week-end. Got in my walks both days. Today it rained, so I walked at the mall and did a few stretching exercises at home. I am doing good with the liquids also. As of today, day 4 down. I know I will have to start over however as I have my medical tests on Thurs. and won't walk that day.
