oh heck I fell behind again. Sigh. Thank god my running log imports from my running watch or I would never catch up.
I'm at 94 miles for July, but I havent run yet today. On the other hand it is already the 16th, so I am behind for the month, which is no way to make up for the 50 miles I am behind my goal for the year. I was supposed to be at a pretty steady 50-55 by this time since marathon training officially starts next week. I may have to modify my training plan down about 10% across the board.
We went to church last night so were able to get a Sunday morning walk in...planned on the beach but figured even at 6:30 it may be crowded so did the Starbucks...outstanding weather for the walk but warming up fast!
I deleted my last two posts because I had the dates wrong and had left some out. (Was looking at the dates for June, not July...) So am trying again to update since my last corrrect update...
7/12: +1
7/13: +2, treadmill intervals
7/14: +12, stationary bike
7/15: +4, running at the park
7/17: +15, stationary bike
7/19: +16, stationary bike
ummmmm....at the risk of being called extremely insane I am planning on doing:
Portland (10/10) as a training run, hopefully doing a 50K on 10/30 (babysitting issue as dh is out of town). Training mostly for Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon in November (Hi Trent!* And yes, I know you can't train for Monkey, but I am going to try anyway!) and then I am meeting a bunch of friends in Vegas 2 weeks later and am currently registered for the full marathon, although if I get to do the ultra in October, I may switch to the half. I want my 3 in 3 months so I can join Marathon Maniacs, although technically this will be 4(or 3) in 2 months.
* shout out to Trent is because the RD gets a google alert every time someone talks about his race.
I'm new here, but would like to join your challenge.
I'm in training to walk a mini marathon in September. So far, I'm up to
6 miles on my long day, but really need to step it up.
My goal will be to walk at least 15 miles per week; hopefully more.
So far this week, I have 3.5 in. Soon I'd like to add swimming and biking in to the mix. I'm also going to start doing a few sprints in with my walks. I've been afraid to try, because I'm so over weight and have never run before.
Bella xx
Start 6/29/2010 - 39.34 / 500 miles

Reason: adding miles to date
