I was still at 153.2 this morning so that was great. Hubby's family all got together after the funeral and ordered pizza so my SIL and I got a rotisserie chicken and picked on that. My MIL even had asparagus in her freezer for us! Tonight is dinner out but it's about 50 miles away and we are getting freezing rain right now so I may just get out of it. I'm kinda sad about it because I won't get to see this side of the family at Thanksgiving and I haven't seen them since May but kinda relieved at the same time.

I am off to get some homework done but I will keep checking back in to see how your day is going and to keep my butt accountable too. No more slacking!
Lindsey,
What are you going to school for? What is your major?

I did step on the scale and was up to 156, 2 pounds up so I know I can get this off by just doing phase 1 and drinking water.
Get rid of those darn bars! They have too many carbs in them for you and they trigger cravings. I am the same way. Just can't even have one bite of certain things or it starts a binge. One cookie? Never- I eat a dozen. One bar? No way- I cannot stop when it comes to those foods so I choose to have none. And I feel so much better.

Brenda, I know you are right, but do you ever "feel" deprived? Like why can't I have a treat too?

When I feel like that, I have one of the chocolate drink shakes- love them and only 9 carbs vs 20 + that those bars have. If I need something to chew, I make pudding cakes. And once you reach maintenance, you CAN have an occasional indulgence. I still cannot stop once I start say with bars, cookies, cake, pie, etc. I am fine with having it in the house and even baking but I cannot have one bite or I am doomed. I save my treats for dessert at the Durum or bergies ice cream when I go there. Single serving and then done. I have not gotten so bad that I order three desserts! It feels so much better to be at a good weight than to go to " the dark side" and spiral out of control and feel all of the shame, guilt, etc as well as the physical side effects of bloating, weight gain and abdominal funkiness! Wow- feel like I am baring my soul! Have a great day and enjoy a pudding cake. Throw the bars away!

It's kind of a pain going to school right now for it because coding is changing from ICD-9 to ICD-10 and it's completely different. I felt as if right when I became comfortable with 9 I had to start learning everything over and it was frustrating. I will live I suppose.

Oh gosh, I love this quote from Determined: "It feels so much better to be at a good weight than to go to " the dark side" and spiral out of control and feel all of the shame, guilt, etc as well as the physical side effects of bloating, weight gain and abdominal funkiness! This is so good! I should make it into a poster and hang it on my wall!!!

You will live and might as well accept the fact that the Feds change the rules and regulations and the way we can bill, what is paid for and how we can bill it seems daily. That is why the Him departments get bigger and bigger and why YOU will always have job security! It may all drive me personally out of healthcare!

Well, plans have changed. My mom just called and my family made it here but we aren't going to try to get to dinner. Now we are all going to my sister's and they are having pizza and broasted chicken and how knows what else. Cake, I do know my mom ordered cake. I guess I will hope she thinks of me and gets something I can have. If not, I will eat when I get home or something.

Sandy, how's the rest of the day gone? I'm feeling like I need a snack so I just heated some coffee up and am going to throw half of a shake in it. Should keep me from eating and fill me up.

I'm also an RHIT - yep, the big changes are coming up fast. Already doing training for ICD 10. We were all sitting around yesterday how we are going to have to re-learn anatomy and physiology. Such fun!! Good luck to you.

In fact, I need to get busy and do some coding. I'd rather be reading this forum though. lol

I was just telling my husband that too. The procedure codes really test your anatomy knowledge. I can't decide if I like the charts better or not when coding procedures. I don't think the diagnostic codes are too difficult though. I am thankful I haven't been working for years with ICD-9 before the switch though. Good luck to you!

4:00 pm and all is well! My scrapbooking club was at my house today and one gal brought a veggie tray so I had broccoli and cauliflower which worked out well as I did not get my 2 cups in at lunch.

Yep you have to do this!!! In the next few years we both have to flee the classroom in a non-limping manner!
You can get the 2 pounds off right away.

I think this cold weather we are having right now is making my arthritis worse.

I am doing great today, and I agree, we both need to leave our careers without limping!!! LOL.
