good morning! I slept late so just a quick hi but a specific to Tammy - all I have is one videotape (not even a dvd) from the series; it is the last one, 'Burn it Up'. It is first 35 minutes of standing aerobics/toning; then she uses resistance bands for upper body (i don't have those so I use free weights) and then floor work - legs, butt, abs for another 30 minutes. So its an hour long.

It is very effective aerobic wise, one starts breathing hard and sweating right off. And it can be adapted to be low impact. I also have started using it with ankle weights and one pound hand weights to increase intensity. I can see, if one ate right and did this work out 5 times a week, one would see results. But I don't know anything about the eating plan she mentions at the beginning..all I have is the one tape (that I got for $1 at a garage sale)

Holly- Sorry to hear that insurance is being a pain & not wanting to pay out like they should.

I havent been on much & apologize to everyone for not commenting on all your posts. Just wanted to give an update on DS.

He has been doing better. Thank You all for your prayers. He has been going to therapy once a week & has a journal that he is to write in on a daily bases (although I'm not sure if he has been or not) Part of his healing was having a bon fire & burning the items that she had giving him & some of the clothes that she had taken of his. He had a good time with his friends that nite. Both DH & I gave him his space that nite, I did go out every so often to make sure that they were being safe with the fire & had warned them all that if I saw anything not safe or them being stupid with it that they were done & would have to leave. Last nite we sat & talked about her & his father (Tom) & he admitted that it was an abusive relationship & that we were right that she did hit him that day they got suspended. To me that was a huge step for him.

Yesterday I went to court to fight the new amount of child support. They wanted to lower it to $10 month from $717 a month. Tom showed up. He did not fight with me but then I also made it clear that DS was worth more then $10 & how that doesn't pay for anything. I also made it clear that whatever money I get now goes to DS for him to spend how he wants & for his future. That yes I had used the money to pay bills when he was younger but now it is for him to use how he wants. I think that helped with the outcome of yesterday. Tom will be getting Disability SS come Feb or March. So the new amount ($275) is based off of that amount but starts in Dec. Child support was also going to stop at age 18 (this coming April) I wanted it till he graduates so Tom agreed to that as well. Tom owes about $25,000 (I think that what she said) in back support.

We talked while we were at the court house & found out that after his sons death (about the time he stopped paying support on his own) he shut down (his Ex & him had to make the decision to stop life support) & had nothing to do with anyone. He pretty much lost everything that is why we could not get ahold of him or find him. I can understand shutting down like that. I get the impression that it has just been recent that he has been making an attempt to get back into the world again. So both DS & I feel bad for him & feel bad cuz we thought he decided to have nothing to do with him. DS is also pretty confused at the fact that the death explains the last few years but doesn't explain the 1 maybe 2 visits a yr (that only lasted a couple hours) before that. Or how DS was the one who always called him & he never called DS. I made it clear to Tom that if DS sees him it is all on DSs terms, that I do not know that if their relationship can be fixed at all at this point. DS is my main concern & whatever he choses I back him on it.

Just stopping in quick as well- Tymaboy so sorry you are having to go through all this but it sounds like your DS is trying to get it all figured out and the right way as well- I guess all considering hope that things go the right way that you want them to go with son and dad???

Holly hold out make the insurance company pay but I have been in a couple of accidents (none of them my fault) and they only want to pay for teh value of the vehicle and maybe alittle extra but not usually much so hopefully you will be able to make it work out for you- sending lots of mojo your way

Ok well just getting home of course and now I want to watch SOA before going to bed- so I will check back in later

Tammy take care of yourself and don't burn yourself out girl

Hey chicks, well I have had a HARSH slap of reality about the insurance stuff, I was ignorant about 'stated value' policies..and I did not have that, so of course they're just gonna look at the price of a stock VTX, depreiciate it for time and mileage, and give me barely $6000 for a bike I paid $11,000 for and added extras.

Hey chicks I'm in a real down rut. I just erased a whole bunch of crap i was whining about. I need to just push myself up and out of my negative thinking so that's why i deleted it all.

Talk at you later

oh and to be totally honest I changed my ticker...i am 155 today, havne't weighed in a long time but could feel (and see) I've gained a couple pounds. It helps to know the truth though. I made a tuna sandwich to bring to work to be lunch and hopefully get me through.

Hi girls - Holly hope that you are feeling better today, how was the tuna sandwich? Have you heard from the insurance company or what has been decided?

Ya I should really change my ticker as well I have also gained about 5 pounds but DH adn I have decided after Thanksgiving we will be hitting hard again

Well I may have found my next new bike - Road King Classic brand new still at the Harley Shop and at a price that I really almost can't refuse- but that will mean that I will have 2 bike payments until Spring when I would sell the chopper..... Oh well I will have to decide

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far

Hi Reda well the ins. co's amount was like $5900. And I asked point blank where is my bike? it is in a storage place 200 miles from here, in Albany NY.

I'm so blah about it all, I don't even care much. This week, I'll ignore them and let them be the ones to try to contact me, for a change.

congrats on falling in love with the Road King!

Hi Girls

Happy Thanksgiving hope everyone enjoys there day and hope you don't work to hard cooking

Haven't decided anything on the bike yet - I am thinking I really need to wait till after the first of the year so if it is still there then it was meant to be and if it is gone well there will be another one

If you are traveling be careful out there as we are getting freezing rain today and it sucks

Freezing rain sucks Reda!

just have to tell you chicks that finally my horrible depressive episode has disappeared for 2 days now..it is just so great to feel like myself again, looking forward to the day, looking forward to the next day..hadn't felt that in weeks. Let's hope tomorrow is good too

looked at Craig's LIst for my area and found a couple Harleys I liked, an 06 Street Bob and an 03 Night Train. But there are many months to go and I'm sure there will be lots of bikes to think about.

Reda, I hope whatever happens with the Road King is best for you

Hi to Tammy, you hardworker!! and Colleen, and tymaboy. We don't travel for T-giving so I'll be here tomorrow , just gonna visit my mom for a few hours.

good evening chicks and hope you all had a good day with family/friends, doing whatever you like - cooking, eating, shopping, watching football. I visited my mom for a couple hours today. I was shocked at her appearance I guess because I haven't seen her in months..she has lost alot of weight even though she says she is glad - she is maybe 5' 2"? or even 5;1" and weights 112. Well she is 77, it is hard for me to grasp that, because I still think of her of around 45 She just looks like a little old lady but I guess that is what she is...but she moves around fine and still drives, tho doesn't drive after dark. Which is good.

I unloaded a year's worth of troubles on her And she was properly shocked, sympathetic and supportive - yay for that!

I will openly tell everyone here that I was so upset a few days ago, because DH told me he would never ride a motorcycle again. And I was afraid to appear selfish if I asked, 'well can I still ride or would that be unsupportive?' so I had a couple more days of horrible dark depression and 'what is there to look forward to in life'. Well I was brave the other night and started looking at new bikes online, while we were both sitting on the couch ( I had the laptop, he was watching TV) And at one point he said, whatcha looking at? and I said, oh new bikes. I like this one, etc. And he said, you know you can find lots of good lightly used bikes, on Craig's list, because so many people try riding but give it up.

So yay!! at least he wasn't negative about me looking at bikes. He is known (by me ) to make statements that sound all final at the time, yet down the road he does a 180 change. So I am going forward with the goal of getting a bike in spring, and hopefully he will adjust his mind as the winter goes on and spring approaches. I HOPE. Because we really don't have many other interests together

back to work tomorrow, supposed to get yucky weather - freezing rain, sleet, all that crap, during morning commuting hours. Ugh.

Oh something to be thankful for - I have been taking my car (94 Geo Prism, in good shape and cute) to a new young guy in town. Oil change $28; snow tires put on for $15 (my tires were already mounted but still, nice low price!) and I trust his judgement. I asked him, 'do you think my car is winter-worthy, could you check it out?" and he did, and only suggested getting some body work on the rocker panels which are starting to rust through and the Vermont winters are DEATH to cars (salt). And he gave me the name and number of a guy that he said is very reasonable on body work. That if i went to him and said "I only have $100 to spare but can you do whatever you can" he would do a good job.

Good morning, yesterday's freezing rain did encapsulate my car in ice, but I chipped it out, and by the time I had to leave for work, the roads were just kinda slushy.

Hey ladies,

I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. I worked but still had a good one. DH cooked ham and some other things. His mother cooked a few so we did have a good dinner.

Holly, just keep looking for a bike. Maybe he will change his mind. We will say a lot of prayers along the way. (Dear Motorcycle Riding God, please let Holly's DH get back on one and let them ride safe forever). I do agree that Craigslist is a good place to start also..... as well as the Harley dealerships around January or so.

Reda, I think that if you are going to get a new HD or newer one it would be reasonable for you to start looking in Jan or Feb for one.... so you don't have too many months of double payments. And, since the yucky weather has started for most--- you would not get much riding out of it..... and if it came with a warranty it would just eat up your warranty while you are not riding. (Holly, this goes for you too).

I hope everyone else is doing well,

Colleen, Tymaboy,
