Ok everyone ready for another HAPPY GOAL I found this about loving yourself more, and we deserve it!:

Here's something to try saying every day. Place it on your mirror. It always helps: "Look in the mirror and what do I see? A beautiful girl staring back at me!" "Oh wow!" I thought. Who could that be? [smile and say] "Oh! It's most definitely me!"

Keep a list of the things you love about your self or things you've done that if you saw someone else do them, you would love them. For instance, if you scored more in basketball, write it down, then eventually you can build up more pros, to help you know why to love yourself (if you're analytical)

Practice Metta meditation. It will help you love yourself and others more.

Do what you enjoy. If that is do go out anywhere, or with anyone. Make yourself happy.

Ugghh, do we have to weigh today? I was 149.5 Sunday, and 149.5 again yesterday, but today ... 151. Timing sucks sometimes.

OK, whining over. At least it's Friday!

Today I was 158. I will blame TOM.

Great idea for the Christmas challenge with Thanksgiving mini-goal. I'm in!

Alright, I'm up 2 lbs. I kind of knew that was coming. I've got TOM coming next week, and I really didn't do much exercise-wise this week. Oh and I ate A LOT!

I wonder why I can't stay consistent with eating well. What do you guys do? What is your average daily menu? Do you have a day or meal once a week where you can eat whatever, or do you stay consistent throughout the week?

I think what I do is let any small (or big) problem be a reason to eat. So that is clearly emotional eating, but I don't really know how to conquer it.

Well 147.6 (what I put down as my start weight) is what I weighed Monday. Today I'm 146.4!!! I'm so happy. I hope to make 145 by Halloween. Good luck to everyone else!

Darby... I'm the same way with my emotions.. I just eat them away. Weirdly so far the only thing that helped is going strict vegetarian, with no dairy products as well as meat. I haven't had that problem since. It's weird! I don't count calories or watch what I eat, but I tend to eat healthy but some days I over eat, I allow myself to have soy icecream, and I think knowing I can have whatever I want helps. During TOM I do eat more than I think I should, but I bounce right back.

Are you still using dairy products?

Eh, it is what it is. It's just water, but it is my weight this morning. I just really needed to whine about it for 10 seconds. Out loud. So to speak.

Thanks

jillnicole-no dairy. Haven't had it in years. I've been vegan since 2001. I've always been an emotional eater; even went to therapy for a while in the
90's, because I was having bulimic/anorexic tendencies. I guess I just have to teach myself to do other things if I'm feeling emotional. I'd really like to talk to a professional again, but haven't had luck in finding somebody who specializes in these problems. Not even sure if my insurance would cover it.

140.5... I decided to step on the scale and see if I can pull it together for one week. So the good news is after gaining I've been hanging out at the same weight for the past few weeks. The bad news is, (well duh) i gained back 10 lbs!!
