HI LADIES!

Guess What??

I think I'm coming out of my slump. For the first day in, I don't know how many, I'm still OP at 3:30 PM AND I'm still well within my point range and I'm journaling! I've gone shopping for lunches and juice, and yogurt for the week, to take to work tomorrow. I'm even considering obeying that little voice in my head that keeps saying "Get Thee To A Meeting". If I can keep myself psyched I'll go to the 5PM meeting in the village. This is a tough one cause I'll bet I've back slided about 20 - 25 lbs. Scarey thought huh?

You gals have been the BEST FRIENDS keeping my spirits up and sending encouragemnt when I really need it. THANK YOU ALL.

JEN: This may put me a week up on you meeting wise, but Im really ready to try again. WE WILL LOSE TOGETHER! I have no doubts.

Hope I can keep up this attitude. IT FEELS GOOD!

J-ann - it is absolutely thrilling to see you enthused again! I've been weighing at home - so I have a pretty good idea of how far I slid. And... like you, I'm keeping it together right now. My energy for this fight is returning - and dammitall, I'm gonna win. With you, and everyone here, its very doable.

Terri - Husbands are tricky things. I do think the people we love - and who love us - can be obstacles to the wt loss process. I don't see it most often as intentional - but change is always scary. Even good change. {{{hugs}}}

Tonight is a knitting guild meeting. I'm bringing water and a bag of pretzels for snackies. I'm making the swiss/bacon quiche from WW for dinner tonight (it smells wonderful).

Life is good.

Default Now we're cookin'!

I've got three points left for the day and plan on having a skinny cow as my treat. I've done very well today. I made myself a sandwich so I'd avoid the cafeteria temptations. I also put a few containers of carrots and grape tomatoes in the fridge so that all I have to do is grab and go. My big coo for the day is to have made through without hitting the vending machine or snitching a fun size candybar from the payroll dept. (they work for me so I can snitch!!! )

DH is roasting a chicken and making mashed potatoes along with carrots. Already logged into my online WW journal. I'll make sure half of the breast gets put up in the fridge for tomorrows lunch.

Its fun to be back OP! More importantly, it feels good to be positive about this whole journey again. Which I owe to my friends here.

I've decided that instead of attending weekly meetings, I am going to pretend like I'm going to a meeting. I will have weigh-in on Monday mornings and then I will login to the WW site and study the week's topic. And I will make a plan on how to incorporate that into the week. This week's topic is portion control. So I'll make sure I'm paying particular attention to portions and will get the scale out if necessary.

I better go take care of the laundry and get busy on paperwork. I've been having fun bagging up the pampered chef goodies that arrived today. Tomorrow I get to be Santa and deliver to everyone.

Jen & J-Ann: Good for both of you! You both have been so inspirational to me over the past year or so. Let's start kicking butt!!!

Have a great evening and OP day tomorrow.

Well, it was worse than even I thought. I went to my 1st meeting in ages and I've put on another 23 lbs. God, I knew I was sucking in food but Geez .... It's a wonder I didn't do in my heart. No wonder my knees are aching more and more often.

Oh well, I'm going to do my best to get my act back together. Was OP yesterday and so far today. Wish me luck!

TERRI: GOOD FOR YOU! Iwish I was strong enough to commit (sp) to doing this without meetings, but as you can see, it didn't work for me. Portion control is the best place to start. Thanks for reminding me to go get some Skinny Cows.
