I made a custom ticker in Adobe Photoshop. Everything is in layers, so I can slide the (heart) pointers around and change the numbers easily. I didn't like any of the canned tickers (too hard to read the actual values). So I designed my own customized ticker, which packs in a lot of info into a small space and I think is pretty darn close to perfect. I even built in progress color coding (in four 25% steps) to show what quartile I am in on my journey. (I am almost to the 50% (halfway) point, which is the blue shaded region).

Lesson to be learned......
Sorry for your set back, but lesson learned and I am sure we will all have moments like this. I could see myself easily going off the rails...I do it now sometimes with veggies though...LOL...find myself in that mindset that a few over wont kill me...well I can certainly see that going out of control... I need to be more mindful of that.

WI yesterday has me down another pound...officially out of the 220's and
62 Lbs down for the year....If anyone would have told me I would be in this situation in June I would have never believed them LOL... Yeah IP

Terrific, Hmm123! You have finished 2014 with a flourish, and you are 1/3 of the way to your goal. Major accomplishment!!!

Define working out. If you mean weights, yes, a few of us do. Please be mindful that you will not have stored glycogen in your muscles to get you through exhaustion if you wear yourself out. It's not recommended to exercise in the first few weeks while your body is adjusting to being fat fueled rather than carb fueled. Play it by ear once you know what your energy level is like.

Meanwhile, walking is a great alternative for the early days of IP. Remember to refuel after a workout using an extra packet (non-restricted) or a protein shake that replenishes electrolytes as well as putting back a couple of carbs.

Thanks ladies for the photo compliments....felt like it was time to share lol. That was about 60 lbs ago....I'll post another once I hit onederland!

Have set that goal for my birthday which is the end of March. Since losses have slowed, I am still hopeful that I can do it. (Or at least be really close). I have to get thru a wedding weekend in North Carolina in 3 weeks and then a business conference in Vegas mid March.....right before that birthday WI...

Hi everyone - joined IP in November but haven't posted much. I have gotten so much out of reading this thread I thought it was time to "introduce" myself and be more active. 100 lbs to lose seems overwhelming, but it's good to see so many of you getting closer to that goal! You are all so inspirational.

Glad to have you participating in this IP forum!
At my start with IP, at my very all time high weight, I thought the actual loss of 50 lbs was beyond comprehension, never mind the 90-100 lbs I really needed to lose.... But here I am down just over 50 lbs and working on the remainder.

Actually P1 feels deceptively easy now that I have gotten into the rhythm of it.... And I can see that the real challenge will be P2, P3 and P4 and maintaining for life. Now I am looking ahead to all of that with even more trepidation....

Hi! I felt the same way when I started, and still do - both about how much I've lost and how far I still have to go.

People do different things to get through. In my case I've just been trying to take things one week at a time, one day at a time, sometimes on hard days one meal at a time.

There are a lot of veterans here who can give you better advice - but for me, the plan works when I work it, and the weight is coming off.

Best of luck, hope you keep posting with us!
