Hey Susan happy to see you ....

I use Fitday to post my food intake and then add in the exercise, it gives you the numbers, then just subtract the exercise from the calories......yes, Calorie King does the same thing.

I have been lax doing my Fit Day this week so I'll have to start again today. Calorie King said I needed to eat 1400 cal. or less to lose weight.....I know I've been over but usually I can average it out and be down for the week.

Off to do my FitDay. Phyllis

Deficit of about 475 for me yesterday. Continued with my weights and did lower body yesterday along with a little cardio and a little stretching. Boy do I feel it today, all over. Was planning on doing upper body again tonight, hope my arms will be "healed" by then. I think starting a new routine just made each day more painful than it will be in the future, but it's nice to feel that kind of pain (from work, not injury).

Now that fiancee and I live together I don't tend to cook big meals for the both of us. He makes what he wants when he gets home and I make what I want later on. I have realized how much time I wasted cooking and eating before that I am able to use now. Nice to have a little more time in my day, or it feels like it anyways. Enabling me to go vegetarian more often too, might have brown rice and kidney beans tonight, both are quick fixes and should be healthy if I can get the portions right just for myself. Take care ladies!

Oh my goodness, last day of June already. Where is everyone? Deficit of 301 for me yesterday. Ate pretty decently I think (no *bad* foods) and got in more upper body lifting. Tonight should be lower body again but I might give it a rest day as I am still in pain from 2 days ago. Take care ladies!

Hi everyone! I haven't been able to get on these boards for days with the heavy rains we've had this week in NY. Terrible flooding not so far from here. We were very lucky. We have a stream right behind our house that turned into a raging river to say the least, but we are just high enough that it did not flood us out but towns within an hour away near us have been devastated. I only have begun to realize just how damaging the water can be. Like they say- you see it on the news all the time, but don't realize til it hits home just how bad it can be.
I have not been doing Fitday for about 4 days now, but have been behaving myself mostly. Just started a new part time job for the summer in a VERY busy garden/farm store and boy am I exhausted after 8 hrs. Good thing it's only part time LOL-this old body can't take these long hours anymore. The day goes by quickly though and I KNOW I'm burning tons more calories. My legs don't get tired anymore. Have not exercised in 2 days, but will do it tomorrow. Today I had a NSV-we went to a leather shop and I bought my first leather jacket for riding our new Harley! I had such a hard time getting one that would fit over my "girls" and yet not be too big for my belly. I can't believe how different the sizing can be. I ended up with a 2XL. I usually take XL in my tops and lately have been fitting into a large so go figure. I'm just happy I found one that fits and it looks good. I had a customer pay me a compliment at the store I work in who has not seen me in about 5 yrs. He said WOW you lost weight. I thanked him for noticing and jokingly said now I have to get DH to buy me clothes that fit. He got a kick out of that. It felt good b/c in 6 months he is the only person that has complemented me other than immediate family. Even my friends don't seem to notice, but thats ok. I know I feel much better.
Michelle and Mel, so sorry about the terrible heat wave. Isn't it weird about all this strange weather? We have had such a wet spring and early summer. I can't even tend to my flowers b/c of the rain and the tent caterpillar infestation-YUCK!! I may attempt pulling some weeds tomorrow!
Still no kitty-thank you so much everyone for the thoughts and prayers. It means so much. She was a very sweet little girl and DH and I and our dog Ripples miss her so. I think she will not be back but I'm sure she's happy wherever she is. She was such a happy kitty. I'm doing much better although I did cry meself to sleep the other nite. What a big baby, but I can't help but think of her before I fall asleep. Sigh. I miss her climbing on my belly when I'm sleeping.
Time is helping me get through this. DH wanted to get me another one, but I refused. Oh well, I will survive.
Sorry to ramble everyone! I just missed this board so much. Good to be back. Take care. Keepin' the faith...Dawn

Dawn--I know we started a new thread, but I saw that you posted here so thought I would respond. Our weather had cooled down in the low 80s for a couple of days, but now again, it has been up close to 90 and yesterday it was in the middle 90s. I absolutely cannot take this heat; it makes me feel so sick to my stomach at times. I'm so sorry to hear about your heavy rains and the flooding. I did see that on the news and it looked like it could be very dangerous and scary. So glad your computer is up and running again. I know I rely on mine and this site so much! I bet you are burning so many calories with your new job; it sounds fun though. Hope you have a fun weekend!
