Well that was err all a bit odd, seems that the IT dept is being outsourced to Unisys and on Feb 1st we are all being TUPE'd over to them. At the moment we have no idea where in the Country we will be working. I can only work locally due to not being able to drive. So I have to wait and err wait until they do the one to one consulations. All very strange and unsettling. I need to read up on TUPE and my legal options, do some research on Unisys and a bit of hard core thinking.

I bought 2 double choc chip cookies from Tesco earlier and they were lush ... it was an emergency!!!

So the waiting goes on. I have been there many times. Let's hope all is ok (although it would not hurt to look around I guess).

At least the cookies gave you a boost....

As far as I know (not an employment lawyer) they have to take you on on equivalent terms and conditions (including location) otherwise you'd be entitled to unfair dismissal/redundancy payments (can't remember which). Fingers crossed for you though that it's in the same/similar place if that's what you want once you've read up on them a bit, I think they're a fairly reputable company at least.

I'm scaring people at work. Apart from answering the "would you do another one" far too quickly, they're also worried about my excitement about a day swinging through trees and my sudden interest in working up to a triathlon (I've found one in May that I really fancy). I'm always like this - as soon as something's over, whether it's a holiday or a marathon, I want to get straight on to planning the next one.

Helen I joined these ladies in the Halloween challenge so I've read a bit in the UK section and I just want to say congratulations both on the marathon and your overall loss.

Your determination is amazing. I just signed up for my second 10k ever and am hoping to do it in under an hour. I'll think of you when I run

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING EXCITED ABOUT SWINGING THROUGH TREES!!!

People at work are saying, "So no spa weekend then.....?" A spar-ring weekend would be better with my kickboxing blokies! Now that's more like it!

If anyone's wondering what Helen and I are talking about then go to www.goape.co.uk

I've been doing really well with my food the last couple of days, hardly any starchy carbs, no bread - it's all good! Low calories for me too, 1200 Monday and 1400 Tuesday. I was feeling a bit woozy last night at kickboxing, but I made it!

My gym is closed. I've cancelled my direct debit, so today I am going to exercise in the park using body-weight exercises and the climbing frame! Then if I'm good I'll play on the swings!

She's been out since a couple of weekends ago I'm making up for a fat childhood by doing the monkey bars and fitting in the swings again!

I've joined a NEW GYM! It's £10 a month less than my old gym AND it's got newer equipment AND a leg-press AND an assisted pull-up machine AND it's got a great squat-rack/bench press free weight area.

YAY! AND the student placement girlie is coming with me! HOORAY!

Where's Sarah? Everytime she doesn't post for a few days I think she's going to disappear again.

Thanks everyone for your posts yesterday, I'm a lot calmer today

Rang NTHell earlier and managed to convince them I was paying far to much for they're "services" and that I would be "leaving" them and 8 minutes later got a £24.99 reduction of my bill. also took them up of their new discounted Virgin PAYG sim card

Shame I can't negotiate in Asda
