Happy Monday Folks!

Whew what a crazy weekend. Our car died on us on the way home Sat. Had to have it towed home. Not under warranty, DH is taking it to be evaluated today, hope it wont cost an arm and a leg to fix. Meanwhile my youngest son (20yo), has decided to go stay with his dad for a while. Apparently daddy will alow things in his home that I will not. We'll see how long that lasts. So yes folks my stress level is still through the roof!

But today when I got to work, I had this email reminder that my 30 year high school reunion will be this coming year. OMG that long already. But I tell you what this is just the motivation I needed to keep my rear in gear...lol. I already weigh 100 lbs less than I did in high school. Yes, I was the super obese girl that folks either felt deeply sorry for or they made fun of. I just cant wait...really!

Here's to a good week for everybody.

Rosemary

PS. Monet, I hope your down time will rejuvinate and recharge you, take care!

Morning Everyone..

Welcome Kelly.

I had one good day. I had a lot of trouble not eating sugar yesterday. Once I start it's getting tougher to go back to none. I might go back to just not cheating because its too hard. But on the flip never cheating caused me to over do it. I need a balance. Grr.

I did 90 min at the gym--so its a start. I talked to a trainer, who doesn't understand why I have become so weight loss resistant. Especially with the amt I work out and what I eat. She said try adding a carb or 2 and ditch cheese. At this point im trying everything. I also have to find a sugar free protein substitute, to make shakes with. Apparently for the muscle I have gained I need extra protein. Um yay?

Well Have a good day everyone!

Hey, guys. Thought I would check in. I did "okay" last week. I had one bad day, but not as bad as it's been being. Trying to get back to my ticker weight. I think right now I'm around 161. I need some new work clothes, tired of these..it's been awhile since I bought a new outfit. But I want to lose a few pounds before going shopping. Using that excuse and Spring coming as a motivator to lose 5 pounds. Trying to get back in workout mode. Yesterday I went to the gym and I did the elliptical for 22 min(did 3 miles) and then I got on the treadmill and walked at 4.0 pace at the most incline for a few min and then jogged for a couple min..total cardio time was 40 min at a good pace. Most of the time I only have 30-35 minutes to spare. I'll probably do cardio this evening and tomorrow do my Ramp it Up video.

MONET-

GYM- I did the coffee-cocoa thing. It was really good. I added 1 level tbsp of cocoa to my coffee and 1 pack splenda and just a tad milk.

THIN- That's really great news about your kiddos. My daughter doesn't have a weight problem yet but she's headed there if she doesn't slack up soon.

I'll check back later..

GymRat: i've been having trouble with the sugar lately as well. friday night i went to a friend's house for dinner and had a (planned) cheat but then sunday night at church i had an unplanned cheat and practically ate my weight in cookies. the stuff that's bad for you just tastes so good! with my recent lack of discipline in the eating department i have really tried to kick up my exercising. i am going to try not to cheat any until easter weekend, when my parents are coming up from TN for a visit.

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I have MIA. It has been crazy at work.

Monet, I will miss you terribly, but you do what you need to do and come back soon.

Chris, we have a Shih Tzu too, 9 months old. I love him dearly. It has been 10 years since we had a dog and he has been a joy. I had a massage o vacation and loved it. I need to get another one. That is just your muscle being sore from non use. It is normal.

Sparkle, congrats on non eating the chips.

Bob, that sounds like a movie my DH would like. Sounds like a beautiful day in Florida.

Toni, sounds like you had our nice weather too. It was beautiful yesterday and 70 today, but the winds are bad and the rain is coming soon.

Thin, so glad the kids have done so well. It will help them in the long run.

Gym, I hope the trainer has some ideas for you. I do agree about the protein.

Got to run, my computer guy is here to work on my computer. Be back later.

11:00 pm - Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing!

CAT DIARY:

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are
fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets Although I make my contempt for
the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in
order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their
feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it
clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made
condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am.

*******s!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was
placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.
However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that
my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what
this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my
tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try
this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.

The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and
seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously ******ed.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with
the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My
captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell,
so he is safe.

For now...

Hello everyone! I got the "big girl friendly bicycle seat" today. Course it rained all day today, thunderstorms, tornado watch, etc. Tomorrow it will be cold. All this after a beautiful weekend. The 11th is getting closer and I know I'm not gonna lose this 8 pounds to get me to 200 before my diabetic dr
visit, but that's okay. I know I did very well after 1 year of being on SB.

I have cleaned out the closets, drawers, etc in the process of getting rid of all the 26/28 items.

Short term goal now is by Memorial Day be in an 18 (non-stretch) jean/capri.
We will be going to Petit Jean Mountain in Arkansas for a family reunion and I want to be in that size by then. I think that's pretty doable!

Well I rambled on and on as usual - sorry bout that!

Y'all have a wonderful evening.

Hi everyone. I'm 46, single and a gramma! I have always had a problem with sugar, eating way too much. I have serious issues with it. I can consume more then my Doc ever imagined..

After telling him what goes on with me, frequent binges aka a gal of icecream every day or so, he put me on glucophage (metformin). My sugar cravings have pretty much gone. I still get the urge for a sugary coffee. That's about it. No more bags of chocolate covered penuts, sometimes two or three bags. No more icecream. If I do have something it's limited and I can stop at a normal limit.

But I'm trying to stay away from it altogether. Pill or no pill. Sugar is evil.

I'm currently 160 and my goal is a firm 140. At 140 I can fit in size 4's.

Thanks for taking interest in my situation.

Kelly

Good happy Morning!!

So far 2 whole good days. I decided to eat more at each meal, but spread it out over 30 min increments. It seemed to work yesterday. So far I have only had mocha coffee and a ww yogurt. Im hard boiling 2 eggs to have before I go to the gym.

Kelly-I have done that crazy over eating binge thing myself. I actually did it once even being on SB. Every little bit you can do to get away from sugar is helpful. Good luck on your journey. 140 is my goal also. I haven't been that low, but that seems decent for my body type.

Sparkle-I think you have a very reasonable goal in mind. I love going through all the old clothes as well. Makes room for shopping.

tech-That was a great little read..Thanks for sharing. Started my day smiling!! Have a good one.

Mercee-have a great day!!

Solly-nice to see you. Hope your day is a little calmer.

Chr-I m glad you mentioned the extra exercise. Usually I do it if I have planned cheats. What sucks are the unplanned ones. I thought planning them would help but it makes me feel guilty for being able to control the "bad eating" and the unplanned ones I just feel plain guilty. I can't seem to win,

heartmom-I am glad you like the mocha coffee. It can be a little bitter at first, but i find coffee bitter anyways. Nice job on the cardio. 4.0 is tough to walk at so rock on!!

Monet--Hope your rest is going well!!!

Ok anyone else I missed have an awesome day!!!

Good morning ladies. It is raining cats and dogs here. It could be snow so I am counting my blessings.

Made it to the gym last night for 45 minutes. Then we decided to take Rudy for a walk since it wasn't raining. Of course by the time we got the leash on him and got out the door it started. I said oh well, we won't melt & it was warm so we walked a couple blocks in the rain. I guess anyone who saw the 3 of us and the dog thought we were nuts.

Mercee, I know you can make your goal by April. Awesome job.

Sparkle, you go girl, you can do it! I remember how excited I was when I got out of the Plus department and in the regular sizes. Even an XL was great.

Kelly, I had to get off before I got to you yesterday. Welcome to our group. This is a great group for support and friendship. I size 4 sounds so out of my reach. I would be happy with a 10 and happier in an 8. I was in 8's before breast cancer. Damn disease! Good job on getting the sugar out of your system.

Gym, I hope this WOE helps you. Sounds like a good plan.

Off to get this day started. I have to get my mailing of my golf invitations out today. That will be a oad off my mind. Have a great day
