  • Quote: Hugs for nharden84, minoja75, and loose_seal! Hang in there, ladies. Persistence is key!
Thank you gardenerjoy...trying to stay positive.

5 miles today...great day! Staying on plan...didn't let the weigh in bring me down...too much anyway. Hope next week is a lot better though.

    Good luck to all!
  • All you guys are doing great! Nice way to stay on plan

So I started a juice fast today for a week atleast. I am so tired and craving food but after the first 3 days I should be feeling better and more energetic. A friend of mine did one for 40 days and feel great and looks great. I am doing more because I got so sick and I want to cleanse and jump start my system. So everyone wish me luck!
  • Good luck sun!

  • InControl2Day: YAY!!! I'll wait until you make it official next week to turn you red!

gardenerjoy: Almost there! I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!!

minoja: Hugs to you - not letting it get you down is great. Way to go on the 5 miles!

sun: I'll admit I'm nervous about the juice fast, but I certainly wish you luck with it!!

Weight was finally down a tiny bit today, so that was nice to see again for a change! Also got through my longer run today without too much trouble and then had a huge, very filling dinner tonight for just 292 calories, so it's been a good day all around.

Stay strong everyone for this last week in March!!
  • Hiya ladies! Figured I'd check it. It may sound weird, but it has been so hard to change my mindset since I found out I'm pregnant. So I had to stop checking in everyday...or I just wanted to focus on my weight. I dedicated so much time and energy to losing weight, and was so focused and excited to see results, that having to stop all of a sudden has been a real struggle.

I was determined at first to at least maintain my weight and keep running, however after my first run I started bleeding. Completely freaked and almost went to the ER, but after researching learned that there wasn't much they could do. Just had to wait it out and see if it was a miscarriage in a few days. No cramping, and the bleeding stopped. I don't have health insurance yet, so just taking things really easy until I do. We ended up doing a shotgun wedding at the courthouse last week so I can get on his insurance. Will have the big ceremony with all the hoopla next summer But anyways, after the running scare--I quit coming to 3FC because I didn't want to think about my weight at all and just needed to focus on letting go it that makes sense. I would rather gain weight than endanger this new miracle!

What I think is really funny is that there have been so many times where I have fallen off the wagon, and it is so easy to just go into denial and not think about what I am eating or doing to my body. But this time I was so in the zone and feeling to so motivate and proud, that when I was forced off the wagon, it is so hard to stop being in the zone if that makes sense! So with all that being said, I wanted to just let everyone know why I won't be on very much. But I hope everyone is doing great, and I'll check back in a a few months to give updates and as soon as the new one is born I am back on board to get to my goal! Whoosh fairies to all
  • Thank you chikadee

jessicado-CONGRATULATIONS! How scary that must have been after your run though...I wish you all the best and hope to see you back after the baby is born! Good luck to you!
  • jessicado22: it all makes perfect sense! Take care of yourself, even if that means staying away from here! Keep an open mind about coming back here. A few weeks or months from now, 3FC may be the perfect place to help you focus not on weight loss but on all the wonderful health-promoting life-promoting positive things you can be doing for yourself and your baby. You do know there's a pregnancy thread here, don't you?
Best wishes on your wedding! A lovely thing to celebrate no matter where or how it happens!
  • I did it! I met my goal of 14 days weighing below 76.4 kgs in March! Now, I'm looking forward to April and a lower weight to use as my goal.
  • Happy Tuesday! Keeping on my 2 streak, I am at 234 today.

Looks like I am going to fall short of my 10lb goal, but I couldn't be happier about my 8! I may weigh in on Saturday, the 31st, just for a peek to see if I can pull it off. LOL

I am at 11 total though, and was excited to put a little 10-pound chick as my avatar this morning!

Hope the Juice fast is going well, Sun!
    Congrats Gardener!
Best wishes for a healthy and happy pregnancy, Jessica! And congrats on the marriage as well!!
Chickadee... 292 for dinner and it was filling??! Please share!! LOL

Congrats to all who made their goal and good luck to all trying to hit their goals this week! March flew by! I am going to concentrate on Memorial Day now and set my sights on 22 pounds gone by then.

    finally below my sw
  • minoja Thanks for the encouragment! I need it! haha

chickadee Way to go! You are doing so great! I know it must seem crazy that I am doing this but I wnted to give my body a break from my crappy eating and fill it with good vitamins and nutrients. Also I wanted to prove to myself that I have self control and the best way for me to get my resolve back is to give up all my bad habits and start slowly adding in raw foods and such.

jessica Oh My! That must have been so scary, I am very glad you are ok and the baby is safe. It must be so hard to stop your efforts and not keep trying to lose. I think the best thing would be to just eat as clean as possible so that you are getting all your nutrients but still not eating junk. Good luck and keep us posted from time to time.

    gardnerjoy WOOOOHOOOO way to go!

daugt WAY TO GO! what a nice accomplishment...losing 8 lbs is amazing. I am sure by Sat you will have lost 9 Thanks for the encouragement.

So I am on day 3 of my juice fast. I am down 4 lbs ( i know its water weight but it helps keep me going). I am doing my best. It is hard in the evenings after a full day of running around and packing but I am committed to a week. My hubby is super encouraging as he knows I have been neglecting my body and eating junk.

So I hope to make my goal by Saturday Keep it up ladies! And I can't wait for April. With this sickness behind me I will be ready to workout and eat healthy and get to smaller sizes for summer fun! Woohoo
  • I don't think I'm going to make it to 148. 4 stinkin' pounds was all I was aiming for! I keep bouncing between 149 and 151. I know I've been eating too many treats here at work, because it's crazy busy and somehow eating a brownie makes working 80 hour weeks seem less awful. Only 3 more weeks and then I can get back on plan.

Congrats to everyone who's doing so well, and good luck to all!
  • I think TOM was the culprit for my lack of results on Sunday's weigh in. Every month he has the nerve to show up uninvited and this month he caught me off guard. I am hoping that this Sunday will be a much better experience on the scale since he will be gone. Keeping my fingers crossed...X X

Good luck everyone this month seems to have gone by way too quickly! I hope you are all happy with your results by the end of it whether you made goal or not.
  • gardenerjoy: Congratulations on reaching your March goal!!! You did awesome this month, and you are RED below. I can't wait to see what April looks like for you!

DaugT: It was shrimp and fresh green beans sauteed with canned plum tomatoes, onions, garlic, oregano and olive oil, with polenta on the side. So yummy - I've been eating the leftovers for lunch! Nice job on your 11 lbs so far and 8 lbs this month! That's fantastic! I would totally sneak in a weigh-in this weekend if it were me, lol.

JazzyPeggy: Ending the month lower than where you began is exactly what we're aiming for! Let us know how the end of the month looks for you.

sun: I don't think you're crazy! You know your body and what it needs and what works best for you better than anyone else. I look forward to hearing how it all turns out for you!

Steph: I feel you. I first saw 144.8 seventeen days ago, and this morning I am... 144.8 lbs, lol. I hope these next 3 weeks of work pass quickly for you so that you can get some of your time back to yourself again!

minoja: I am keeping my fingers crossed for Saturday for you!!

jessica: It is COMPLETELY understandable! I am really glad you are focusing on the pregnancy and making sure you are doing exactly what you need to do to stay as healthy as possible. We will be here whenever you want to just say hello.

I am STILL waiting on TOM, and ready to strangle someone or something! 9 days late at this point, and I'm sick of the water weight that I know won't disappear until TOM shows up. I'm debating trying to eat at maintenance for a few days and take a few days off from exercise, as I wonder if it's just the long, long period of calorie deficits that is messing with TOM... but it's hard to think about taking a couple of days off. Not sure what to do at this point.

I just saw that you met your exercise goal this month -- cool! Given that and your thoughts above, I would consider taking the next few days worth of exercise and turning them into whatever feels most self-loving to you. A walk to look at spring flowers, a yoga session, a massage, something like that. And, yeah, maybe maintenance eating for a few days, too. It's worth a shot, particularly if you can find a way to relax into all of that.
