I tried the chocolate frosty drink (double chocolate pudding HNS, cottage cheese, water, ice cubes and sweetner)...it was SOOOOO good...thanks to whomever shared that recipe.
U can do this. I was one of them people who never stay to long. But this works for me!!!! I am down 7 pounds in 18 days! I fell good and I believe I am looking better!!! Good Luck

Donuts:10 miles??? Terrific...just don't grin so big that you get bugs in your teeth!

momofboys: I can just see you out mowing in the dark, using some of our favorite curse words. But hey, at least you got the exercise in!

MrsPhibes: Thanks for sharing the pictures. They were incredible. I lived in Europe for 3 years and remember how awe-inspiring the architecture was, and how incredibly somber all of the WWII sites were as well.

SchoonCR: My son joined MRC three weeks ago. He gets weighed in after his fourth week (which counts the pre-conditioning). On his scale, he is down 12 lbs. His goal is about 50 lbs. He called me yesterday and asked what would happen if he drank a beer. I told him I thought it would mean a slow down in his loss, not to mention if he starts to cheat this soon, it can really be his downfall.

CountryMomma: Sounds like your U-turn did the trick! Congrats on the 5 lb. loss. I think most of us have tried other programs (mine were WW - lifetime member, South Beach, and TOPS). This is the only program where I have consistently lost weight, I think because it is so easy with everything on the food sheet. No counting points, etc.

JSTUCKLY: I'm another one that never loses more than 1.5 lbs at a WI, with an average of just under 2 lbs a week since I started. I've had 3 plateaus, so it does get frustrating at times. Overall, it stays consistent. My inches lost and sizes gone down has been incredible, so I try not to measure everything by the scale.

You also asked about hot flashes. I've been on hormone replacement therapy for several years and was pretty much done with hot flashes. I have noticed there have been more since I started MRC. Not sure why, though. Hope it is the fat burning, like you said.

may06haw: I felt the same way about the supplements. You are paying for their assistance, so don't be shy about asking them for advice on how it all works. Just remember, they will try to sell you everything, so follow some of the suggestions that have been posted. I only use their MRC6 and buy my flax and vitamins at the drug store. The people on this board are very knowledgable, so ask questions here as well.

HAWAIIBOUNDBY40: Sorry to hear about your surgery, but hopefully you will no longer have any pain. Just take the recovery process slow and easy and follow the doctors orders. MRC will be there when you are ready to start up again. Good luck!

tvmitche: What a great quote. And good job on the weight loss. Keep it up.

Another NSV: We spent the weekend in the mountains, and I managed to complete a 2 mile hike at 9,100+ feet with no shortness of breath or whining (which I am really good at doing with anything physical!). My motivator was my 3-1/2 yr old grandson, who with me "lead the way!" I figured if he could do it without whining, I damn well could, too! I WI tomorrow, so will see if this has an impact on my loss this week.

Congrats to everyone with awesome losses!!!

Some amazing things happened with me this week, I'm only 1lb away from signing that 25 board!?!? I also fit into the jeans I wore when my husband and I first started dating (almost 4 years ago!) and had to buy some new dressy work close due to NONE of my pants fitting like they should!
I'd also like to thank everyone for the awesome working out experiences, I decided as a treat to myself that I'm going to buy a membership to my gym and get started back up! I love seeing and hearing about everyones losses, keep up the good work!

Theycallmemom-
Don't worry about the gain! We all go through this, its just a natural plateau that you go through on the program! Stay OP and don't get discouraged about it, you're doing everything that you know how to do... just keep on keepin on! You'll have a great loss at your next WI!

Wow - it's been a busy day for posts! I actually had to go to work today (and for the next 3 days for HS schedual pick-up) so I've had to spend a couple minutes catching up! I had a rough day work/eating wise today. I had my breakfast fine, drank plenty of water, but never got any lunch but a HNS. I had to run my son to the doctor, etc...so buy the time I got home I had another HNS and will be eating my dinner real soon. Hope this didn't mess things up too much for me.

SchoonCr - I had to laugh when I read your post...I saw the pic of you and your wife first, then saw your height and thought to myself - WOW if SHE'S that tall how tall is the guy?! ...took me a minute to figure out you ARE the guy! Good luck to you and it's nice to see some guys trying to get healthy too!

Hawaiibound - So sorry about your back! Gosh I hope you get to feeling better soon! Just keep eating OP and the weight will still come off I'm sure!

Gmato4 - Great job on the hike! Isn't it amazing how far little ones can go without complaining - we really need to figure out how to bottle up their energy!

Thanks for the confidence booster.

We have a group of about 6 of us that all signed on within 2 weeks of each other, and 5 of us are guys.

Of course, we are scuba instructors, and travel a fair bit, so it will be tough, but I have stayed the course.

My 2 buddies, on the other hand, just got back from a week in the Cayman's, and just went crazy. So much for my support group! Glad I have this message board now!

We are all going to WI tomorrow. Gonna be kinda funny, for me hopefully!

Here I am...!!! We were gone all last week to the lake. Ummm, yeah...had fun, got tanned, gained 1 1/2 lbs... oops! I really think it's mainly due to not drinking enough water, so I didn't wanna weigh in today - maybe tomorrow

I don't have hot flashes. When I started the program, I would get REALLY cold about half way through my meals. I mean shiver cold! I've pretty much leveled out now, but the counselor at MRC told me it was due to the program. She just never explained exactly in what way...

Thanks yall, I just wanted to make sure that it was not just me, what is funny is when I am at work I get the hot flashes and sweat but when I go walking my mile I don't sweat. Am I wrong in my thinking that sweat is how u lose weight?
