Mary: Hope your sister enjoys the homeschooling! I've only been doing it for about 1.5 years. It's been great. About the time my older son is done with high school, my younger son will just be getting started with kindergarten.

Wilma: Very nice pictures!

EZ: Good to hear your neighbor went peacefully in his sleep rather than the other way.
Looks like you have your hands full with those puppies!

Bunna: I'm sorry about your difficult day. Praying.....

ohmygreatgrunge: Welcome. I'm new here too.

Well, I finished day 3 of being back on a diabetes diet. (I did sneak in sugar here and there. oops) But I've noticed a difference and have been feeling better. Haven't wanted to hop on the scale yet. Think I'll wait a little longer until my clothes feel more loose.

Default Good Morning!

Did you notice my signature? I weighed in at Curves this a.m. and found that I had lost 2 lbs. and that with being away on vacation. I guess all that walking paid off. I lost 1/2 an inch off my thighs. What a nice way to start the week!! I even struggled with going this a.m. It was dark out and I was tired and didn't feel like going. This is great incentive to keep up with the walking!!

Gary: Those puppies!! Looks like they had a blast. I came yesterday and my guys had vacuumed and tidied up the rec room. That was a nice surprise. They even had dinner almost ready. It was so nice not to have to do that too after a long day at work.

I'm so sorry about your friend. But like you, when they're ready to go and they can do it peacefully like he did it's a blessing. I know you'll miss him.

Bunnababy: Snow! It's going to be here soon enough. We've had an unseasonably cool summer this year and now it looks like we're heading into a long cold winter. I think I'll be exercising inside a lot.

omygreatgrunge: Welcome! Tell us a bit more about yourself!

DaleMarie: WTG on staying OP. I must admit that sugar is my biggest downfall. I'm trying to stay away from it too.

Gotta go to work now. Have a super day!

omygreatgrunge! Welcome! I think there is a teen forum also, you can try a search for that, but you are welcome here too sweets. Let us know more about you.

Oh Gary~those pesky pups! They were busy! It's kind of funny, but then NOT! So sorry to hear about Joe.....sure seemed quick, but he was ready. I will pray for his family, i imagine it'll be hard to deal with.

Wilma! Loved the pics, what an adorable house you have and a handsome DH! You are really pretty, i think you look a little like my mom. And btw......woo hoo on the 2 lbs!

Bunna~I hope your day is better today. ((((Big hugs))) Sometimes we just have those days. I call them blue days, Holly Golightly calls it the Mean Reds. Have you ever watched Breakfast at Tiffany's? Maybe a good movie will do you good... Oh, and about John, i think you are right, i'm like that too.

Must go, busy day at work.

Gary, Oh my gosh what a thing to come home to. Usually the puppies are all happy and ready to show off their hard work. Gotta em huh? Sorry to hear about Joe but it sounded like he was ready and he was fortunate to have you and Angie to care for him while he was living on his own. Praying that his daughter can continue to make some peace with the past. I know it was hard for my dh when his dad died because he never acknowledged how horribly he had abused him when he was little.

Michele: Don't overdo on your busy day.

Wilma: WTG on that 2 lbs loss

Welcome greatgrunge!

DaleMarie: Are you doing South Beach or something else? Just following the diabetic guidelines? Just curious. I ate some sugar yesterday and now today I have a roaring headache. Sugar is a for me, thank goodness I didn't eat very much.

Hello to everyone else and have a great day today.

Default I Lost My Post

I posted today after lunch...a longie too and I backed right out of the internet. DUHHHHHH!

Bunna- My heart aches for you. I think when we have issues to deal with God could be wanting to just veg with Him.

Mitchy- I'd probably call him.

Wilma- You guys are as cute as a button! Nice house!

ohmygreatgrunge- Welcome! Hurricane coming you way?

EZ- Gotta love those pups. What a shocker!

Hurricane is heading directly into my sister's path where her apt is in FL. She has begun evacuating already. Must leave behind the big stuff. I saw my daugher's "things" burn in a fire and I don't want to think about that loss again with anyone. I realize they are things of the world but they are also gifts from the Lord. UGH! I hate to see Friday come around. I prayed that the beast of the storm just change its course.

Anyway...I'm very tired tonight...off the progestrone and feeling meloncholy (sp). I don't want to whine though...life is good.

Gotta jet!

Mary

Good morning guys. I won't be around much for a few days. The son of a friend of ours drowned yesterday afternoon. We are all reeling from this. My dh drove the dad to the airport this a.m. to meet the mom so they can drive to where their son is. I believe dh is driving them there too. He was staying with a relative and drowned in their pool. He had a brain injury and we are thinking he had a seizure by the water's edge. At any rate not feeling up to chit chat probably for a day or two.

Love you guys and will talk soon.

Default Hi!

Bunna- Oh my...I am so sorry for the loss. I don't know what to say. I will be praying for you.

Mitchypoo- I hope you see John this weekend. Not too much planned for us. Thank you Lord. Just a wedding and a light road trip together with Nikki.

Kimmy- Welcome! We do receive so much from this forum. These are truly wonderful God loving people.

Update on Hurricane Frances:
My sister Cathie is in direct path of Frances. She lives in Stuart, FL. As of this morning, the woman's husband who she was going to stay with told them to get out of Hobe Sound. The are safe in Key West where the eye is not going. Chances are, much devastation could happen to her apt in Stuart. I talked with her this morning and she was going a mile a minute. I did tell her to be still and know that He is God and He will protect her. She cried and knew she'd be ok. If she needs any help after...I will be there in a heartbeat.

I'm so happy that the weekend should be quiet and relaxing for me. Hey, my daughter started dating a guy. She is catholic and so is he. Neither goes to church at this time (their loss) so could I call equally yoked? Let me know on that one. Anyway, I'm happy that she's is seeing someone.

I just tried to post some photos I have on my computer but they are so small you can barely see them and if I make them bigger, they are too blurry. Sorry. I'll figure the posting thing out eventually.

Well, I'm going to bed. Later all and have a blessed holiday weekend.

Hugs,
MaryK
