I had another OB visit this morning, too. Everything is going textbook - labs normal, BP normal, gained 2 lbs on the nose since last visit. HR has dropped from the 160s to the 150s (everyone I know seems to think we should have a boy...five more weeks til we'll be able to try and find out for sure).

No showing yet, obviously, but the bump is VERY easy to find by touch when I lay on my back. DD thinks that's the coolest thing ever. And while I can't feel "movement" (kicks, etc.) yet, I can tell when (s)he moves from one side of my abdomen to the other by the change in pressure. I was reading in bed last night and the cat jumped up and splayed itself across my lap as usual, and I swear I felt that little peanut tuck itself further under the cat's warm purring tummy. : It was funny.

Mary - do you FEEL 8 months pregnant yet? I say go for it! (I also think that 8-month-plus pregnant women should be issued temporary disabled parking passes. )

LedZep - welcome! My Dr. has me shooting for a 10-lb gain (started at 218). I've only put on 2 so far, I'm very proud of myself. My next appt is Dec 4, so I'll have 10 whole days to put my pregnant-lady metabolism to work on that Turkey-day dinner!

lol Fiona. My DH and I have disovered my bump too After I read your post, I laid down and checked. Sure enough, I could feel it. I've felt movement, but of course it's very sporatic since it's so early yet. GL on your upcoming u/s. I hope your baby is cooperative. We haven't decided if we're going to find out early.

OT: Should we start a new thread since this one is over 20 pages now? I'm not sure if 3FC has a policy on that or not. Does anyone know?

Hello All,

I'm usually posting away over at 20 somethings forum, but I am ready to make the change to prego chickies! I'm eight weeks pregnant and this is my first!

I've been so tired lately that I've hardly stepped foot in the gym, but I don't want to keep on like this. I took a little nap today, so hopefull that will help me get back to the gym tonight for at least a little walk.

Nice to meet everyone!

Well I'm into my 31 week now. So only 8 weeks to go. I go to see my surgeon in a week and a half. I've topped 300lb again and can not wait to be over this pregnancy so I can get back to my program but I'll be patient. So I've basically put on 30lbs so far this pregnancy, maybe more I haven't weight in over a week. I have my first 2 week check tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure I'll be having another c-section since I have big babies and this hospital doesn't do VBAC after 2 c-sections. So I'm a little bummed but at least this way we'll be able to schedule the birth and dh can be there.

Our hospital is a 6 hour drive from where we live and dh has a winter snow removal business and is basically on call all the time. He needs a day or two prep to get out of town so he can get his employees to cover. I'm getting a little nervous about how close we are. I have nothing basically. But we have lot's of left overs from the two boys but before i found out I was pregnant I had given a whole bunch of my things to my pregnant cousin at the time. Her baby is about 2 months old right now. The only things that I really need are a car seat and a swing which I will buy when we are there.

I'm super tired again and my body is starting to ache, the hips and sciatica are bugging me.. Baby is moving tons lately and changing positiosn. I have kicks on the top of my stomach and down low on my cervix now as opposed to the sides.

But all is well for now!!

Spillthebeans: Welcome and congratulations!

Donna, wow you are getting close. That little one will be here so soon!

I had an OB appt today and everything looks good. HR was 156. I'm 17 weeks and this was the first time I heard this baby's HB because I've only had u/s up to now. My weight and BP were the same as my last appt. I consider the lack of weight gain a miracle because I have not been denying my craving for sweets and root beer lol! My uterus is above my belly button already My big u/s is scheduled for 12/8. DH and I still haven't figured out if we're going to find out the gender. It's looking like we won't. DH really, really wants to wait. I'm OK with that. It wouldn't change a thing for us in terms of planning.
